budaatum:Thank God the video is there and everyone can see what exactly happened. Yes, she was heavy handed which was very wrong. But seeing that it was during a one on one teaching session which probably was the teacher going extra mile to help him get his work right, I as his parent won't be too mad at her. He didn't sustain any injury nor was he crying as to show excessive pain. This shows that there was a level of restraint from her although her actions are unacceptable. There was no shouting, insults or cursing from the teacher. This shows she was still collected and in control of the situation despite not getting the expected result from the kid. She's at fault though and more should be demanded from her but it shouldn't be an overkill. Prejudice and sentimentality can make one alter proportionate judgement. Intentions and actions are things a good judge consider before delivering a verdict. |
That was high handed of her no doubt and it's unacceptable. She remained calm and collected all through as she was assisting the pupil with his work which shows that it wasn't done with a malicious intent. If you allow tribal prejudice to becloud your reasoning and you go on the vengeful mission, you can create a problem where there's non. |
BangaRice:It's a boundary dispute between Abia and Cross river state. Akwa Ibom is not involved here. Besides, it's not a land grab problem for expansion but for a resource found in the said land. You know how it goes with issues like that. |
We all know of Igboland. We all know of Yorubaland. We all know of Hausaland. We all know of Ibibioland. We all know of Kanuriland. But we've never heard of Fulaniland. Anyone who signs agreement with regards to land should prepare to forfeit it in the nearest future. Their descendants will tell you they don't have any other place to go because they were born in that place your fathers gave them. Go learn from the Hausas and middlebelt people. Kweme kingdom, we hope not to hear stories of blood and tears from you in the nearest future. |
Sheuns:Not Oba Akran but simply Akran of Badagry. Google is your friend. Ogu people don't call their kings 'oba'. They either use 'Aholu' or 'Akran' for a king. |
Michdear:Most of these things you listed are dialects of Yoruba. The areas with real different languages in Ondo state are Akoko area with more than 8 distinct languages namely Ayeres, Abesabesi(Akpes), Oke agbe, Oyin, Isua, Uhami, Ukaan etc. One in Ose lga(Ora) and Ijaw in Ese-Odo lga. |
JuanXXx:Akoko North West? |
I hope this will also make it to the front page. I've seen two bad news about Anambra state in the front page today. |
gawu1:IPOB is fighting on irrespective of whatever the terrorist Nigerian State labels us. Fulani miltias were tagged the world most dangerous terrorist group by the UN buy surprisingly, they weren't declared a terrorist group in Nigeria. Don't you think the world understands what's happening in Nigeria? When the US decided to sell Tucano fighters to Nigeria, the condition was that the Nigerian army shouldn't use it in Southern Nigeria. Why do you think they gave that condition? They know very well what's happening in Nigeria. We will continue to fight for our freedom because fortune favour's the brave. In less than 9yrs from now, Nigeria will divide. You heard it here first. |
Ojiofor:Ojiofor, IPOB is fighting a noble cause and every sane person knows it. Our demand has been for a referendum to determine if our people want to remain in Nigeria despite how bad they're been treated. Imagine standard and modern guage rail lines are built in other parts of Nigeria but a narrow guage and out dated rail line is what is being built in Igboland. Being one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa and among the top three most enterprising people in Africa, that's a big slap in the face. The insult is too much for anyone to accept. Being labeled a terrorist organization by Nigeria doesn't in anyway diminish our conviction we have in our cause. After all, ANC of South Africa was also labeled a terrorist organization but they continued to fight until they got what they rightly were fighting for. We also will continue to fight until we get it. I know you're not Igbo neither are you from the Biafran territory. There's no even truth in you as a person irrespective of wherever you might be from. This is so because if there's an iota of truth in you, you would have conceded to the maltreatment of the Nigerian contraption towards Ndigbo. Whatever is the case, IPOB will continue to fight on and the dynamics might chance to explore other strategies if Nigeria doesn't rectify her evil treatment towards us. |
gawu1:IPOB is not a terrorist organization. We are still engaging in our struggle peacefully. We are unapologetic for kicking out fulani terrorists from the SE after watching our farmers and villagers kicked in cold blood while the Nigerian army did nothing about it. This is why IPOB is free to protest in other countries outside Nigeria. They know we are fighting a noble cause and going about it in the appropriate way. Mind you, if the killings against our people by the Nigerian army persists, we will be forced to resist it. We are watching how the court proceedings will be concluded. |

BoldBrainz:What is the value of the life of a Nigerian alive? Do hospitals even accept and treat a Nigerian in an emergency situation without any money deposited first? NO. Even the Nigerian Prison Services (there's nothing correctional about them) confirmed to Adam's Oshiomole that they spend more feeding their dogs than they spend feeding Nigerian prisoners. The video is on YouTube for all to see. I ask again; what is the worth of the life of a Nigerian in Nigeria? |
Iweakbro:If you're not from Anioma like you claim, may your death be swift and painful. Amen |
I pronounce death on the evil contraption. May she die so that from her ashes, serious nations will arise and build befitting countries for their respective peoples. Let those who will permit corruption, laziness and terrorism in their own land reap the benefit thereof. |
Iweakbro:Your governor in Oyo state is crying out that bandits from NW have been converging in his state but here you are more concerned about what's happening in Igboland. As stupid as you are, you should have known that Asaba and Onitsha are like twin cities with tens of thousands of traders and business men living in Asaba while conducting their trades in Onitsha. One language, one culture, similar traditions, intermarriage for centuries yet from your leaky brown roofed mud house from the rusty city of Ibadan, you claim to know what's happening in Asaba. Some how, an inebriated pig like you high on rotten pawpaw fruits think you know better than Ned Nwoko, a Senator who has the backing of his people. I spit on your oblong head. |
MrFourSHIRTS:IPOB cannot be defeated because we are fighting a noble cause. We dey kamkpe dey work for our country. Every genuine struggle has different phases and we in a particular phase now that involves a heavy shakedown. Igboland and Biafra is getting stronger day by day as the political awareness is increasing speedily. Nigeria as long as it thinks subjugating us is a mission won't survive for long. We also will ensure its destruction comes to pass by ANY means. If not that you guys are very stupid, you'd have seen that fixing our complain is the best option but because of how dense your brains are, we will have to go the Sudan way. Very stupid people. Northern Sudan is today a war ravaged country simply because they couldn't sort the complains of the South. You the OP is a Yoruba man who's the most foolish of all. You allow your emotion and blind hate for Igbos to becloud your judgement. Do you really think we will lie low to accept all the marginalization and deprivation you're working in our land? If didn't accept it from Europeans who were even better equipped than you, is it you incompetent fools that we will allow? Before you realize how foolish your decisions are today, maybe until mutual destruction of cities all around Nigeria is carried out first. For your information, the best of Nigeria is what you have now. By the time the next stage is activated, you'll wish you have negotiated for peaceful negotiation earlier. Very foolish black people who lack good judgment. |
Iweakbro:Yeriba scratch-faced pig, face your useless yeribaland where skull mining and human ritual killings in the order of the day. You'll not die well for your attacks on our people who did not involve themselves in your affairs. You death is near and it will be posted here on nairaland. |
They're all on the sad news in Anambra. Attacking Anambra and Igbos is what they live for but worse is happening in their own land. They'll avoid this thread like a plague. These are the same people that claim they want one country with others but all they think of is to project bad news, prejudice and cause disaffection among other groups. |
Iweakbro:Yeribastard pig... Omo ale, oni kure. Imagine the generational coward pointing his scrawny fingers at the indomitable Igbos. Wonders shall never end. |
Iweakbro:Smelly Yeriba pig from the wasteland. Your cover is blown already. Cover your scratched face in shame. Morons like you are too dumb to make a good decoy. You suck in every area of life. Shameless yeribanza. |
Iweakbro:A yeriba pig always on Igbo matters to mask his inferiority complex. Imagine the scratch faced pig trying to teach me diction and tenses! Are you now a grammar tutor? |
Iweakbro:Two things I've achieved here. 1. Blowing your cover and exposing your inferiority complex. 2. Responding to your curses on Ndigbo by cursing you back. Whatever you think of me is irrelevant. The evil Nigerian contraption that wants Igboland to be down will have to die IF that's the only condition that will guarantee the rise of my ancestral land. As the Roman empire had to die for other European nations to rise, so shall it be to Nigeria. |
Iweakbro:I'm not your bro you this nincompoop. You started with the cursing but are here saying another person is emotionally cheated. For cursing Ndigbo, you're cursed already and will die miserably. |
Iweakbro:You'll die by the hands of the same Nigeria you're promoting. Curse is already upon you. |
Kam2021:The swine isn't from Anioma. He's a stinking pig from the wastelands. See through his writings and identify him properly. They always claim one relationship or the other with Igbo either his girlfriend, best friend, mother etc yet don't hesitate to vomit raw hatred for Ndigbo. It's their regular trademark. |
Iweakbro:Onishe piagbukwe yi... onye abulu onu. May curses follow and destroy you and your entire family. |
Ebubu6:May the Civil War you crave to happen in Igboland ravage Yorubaland. |
This yeriba pig called Ebubu6 has started again. Like I always write; as you wish it in Igboland, may it be so it triplefold in yeribaland. |
