Pep Guardiola says the task of trying to stop Paris Saint Germain star Neymar is enough to keep him awake at night.

Manchester city are away to PSG in the first leg of their championss league semi final tie on Wednesday, neither side have won the famous trophy before.

The Cityzens coach feels there is alot more to be done against world class stars like Neymar and Kylian Mbappe and wants City to impose themselves on the game rather than try to stop PSG.

"Always unbeleivable, the quality of these players they have. Defensive strategies to stop them does not work" they are too good.

I tried to sleep well last night and I slept well when I was not thinking about their players like that".

PSG are looking to become ninth side to reach back-to-back finals but Guardola has beaten Pochettino 10 of their previous 18 meetings with 5 draws and only 3 defeats.

PoliticsN-power To Begin New Intake (batch C) Next Week by yungzed360(op): 5:58pm On Jun 20, 2020
The N-Power Programme was inaugurated by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), in 2016 under the National Social Investment Programme.

The aim of the programme was to lift citizens out of poverty through capacity building, investment and direct support.

In his Democracy Day broadcast on June 12, the President commended the programme, noting that the government’s social investment programme had continued to be a model to other nations.

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development said the commencement of the Batch C enrolment was sequel to consultations.

It said on Friday that the move was following a review of the submissions on the reform and realignment of the programme for greater efficiency.

“Batch C is also being enrolled to provide opportunities for more youths to access the programme in furtherance of the President’s vision of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty by creating opportunities to enhance the productivity of youths for entrepreneurship,” the ministry said in a statement issued in Abuja.

The ministry stated that in view of these, Batch A beneficiaries of the scheme would exit on June 30, 2020, while those in Batch B would exit the programme on July 31, 2020. It said past beneficiaries were not eligible to participate in Batch C.

Commenting on the development, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq, said, “We have commenced the transitioning of beneficiaries from Batches A and B into government entrepreneurship schemes.

“We are also engaging private sector bodies to absorb some of the beneficiaries after the completion of psychometric assessment to determine competency and placement into various opportunities.”

She added, “The Federal Government is committed to the continuation and expansion and as such will now begin enrolment and onboarding of a new batch of beneficiaries.

“Skills acquisition for entrepreneurship and job creation are critical for an economy that will require a boost post COVID-19 and we are gearing up proactively for the challenge.”

The ministry said applications would be conducted using a hybrid system of enrolment to ensure that all Nigerians were given an opportunity to participate.

“As a ministry that caters for the vulnerable, we will also make special considerations for persons living with disabilities,” it stated.

Many atimes I hear ladies discuss how they would love to be married to a Godfearing man like TD Jakes, Handsome like Van Vicker, tall nd highly muscular like Dwayne D. Johnson, rich as Dangote, has open teeth with a big-holed dimple like Michael Jackson, a man who has never tasted alcohol, doesn't cheat but not broke and so on and so forward.

But in all these, they end up saying "And above all A Decent Man" and this is where I take a pause!

Who is a Decent Man?

What's ur definition of a Decent Man?

A friend introduced me to nairaland when I was in 100L.
Academically, nairaland really helped me. At some point when I was in uni, I lost hope of making 2:1 but reading people's experiences on this forum made me realize it's possible and with high determination I made it.
Career Wise, nairaland is a bomb. After serving my father's land, securing my dream job looked like a mirage because utmost connection is required and considering the fact that I don't have any. I came across a thread detailing people experiences of how they made it. I followed up and the rest they say is history. Today my take home monthly is close to 400k @26yrs.
Relationship wise, I have learnt a lot as well. You will come across a lot of jargon on nairaland all In the name of advice but take a deep breath, sieve those advice and pick only the one that is applicable.
Let me stop here for now.

The problem with Nairaland is that mods don't listen to suggestions. Check well, since that 2013 that you joined, has anything changed about the forum? There was a time they came up with Nairaland app on play store, it was just trashy rubbish. Nairaland is not built well enough to meet people for date or relationship, though it happens at a very minimal level but not like other social forum. There's no chat room, no pictures or videos or story display. Just the smileys alone are so archaic, only God knows when it has been like that. If you made a post and you want to delete it having realized it's not proper enough, once it has been quoted, there's nothing you can do anymore except maybe to report the quoter. Is baning a quoter good enough?

Agreed they censor some vulgar words but there are some words in medical and literal terms that are left uncensored probably cus it has a clear meaning but it's not evenly considered. E g dicck is censored as joystick. Pusssy as kittycat. But vagina is left as it is.. that's ok. So why is pennis not left as it is too. Why censor pennis that has d same acceptable value as vagina. The forum is just too infested with Nigerian cultural and political way of life of remaining at one spot and the followers can't protest or do anything about it.
You are very correct baba, nairaland is just too much of an avant-garde style... I tell u, nothing has changed...meeting a date is at a very very minimal level... Topics like this won't be moved to FP now but u see those ones that are not about suggestions, sharp sharp, it on FP i.e. "how to please a woman", " what to do as a husband".

The thing tire me gann

CulturePeace Is Trouble.. by yungzed360(op): 7:23am On May 23, 2020
There once was a king who offered a
prize to the artist who would paint
the best picture of peace. Many
artists tried. The king looked at all
the pictures. But therewere only two
he really liked, and he had to choose
between them.

One picture was of a calm lake. The
lake was a perfect mirror for peaceful
towering mountains all around it.
Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy
white clouds. All who saw this
picture thought that it was a perfect
picture of peace.

The other picture had mountains,
too. But these were rugged and
bare. Above was an angry sky, from
which rain fell and in which lightning
played. Down the side of the
mountain tumbled a foaming
waterfall. This did not look peaceful
at all.
But when the king looked closely, he
saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush
growing in a crack in the rock. In the
bush a mother bird had built her
nest. There, in the midst of the rush
of angry water, sat the mother bird
on her nest - in perfect peace.
Which picture do you think won the
prize? The king chose the second
picture. Do you know why?
"Because," explained the king,
"peace does not mean to be in a
place where there is no noise,
trouble, or hard work. Peace means
to be in the midst of all those things
and still be calm in your heart. That is
the real meaning of peace.

Often time I ask myself why is this country like this? Just some days back, I read on FP about how N623m was approved for the purchase of 1,200 sets of Computer.

The highest a Desktop computer (Brand New HP) can be sold is N45k. If u divide N623m by 1,200 computers, each would cost N519,167k, even a laptop is not worth that amount, now 45k multiplied by 1,200 equals N54m.

Remove the N54m from N623m, u will have N569m... This is a country that locked down it citizens for over a month without any reasonable stipends...

Depession is real and I almost had my own share.
Sorry, I might have to be a little elaborative!.

I met this girl around October, 2018, she came to make a deposit in the bank and I happen to be the teller that collected her money, when i saw this girl, the only thing i felt was love, the way she smiles, how small she looks (although she is yellow and i am not the kinda guy that likes yellow girls but this girl, this girl, i didnt at that moment know what she did to me) I am a very shy guy so I didn't bother asking her for her number since Its on the deposit slip and in her account as well. I closed for the day and decided to call her, I did, I introduced myself, made some funny jokes she laughed uncontrollably at and we were cool at that moment. She was in her final year then.

Days turned weeks and weeks turned month. I invited her to my house, told her how I felt, and she told me she has somebody but that the problem is the guy she is in a relationship with is not caring, he doesn't call her and doesn't show much concern and that she herself love been cared for a lot.

I told her well, I won't promise anything if she agrees to me but that I will just be what I can be. She told me then she would think about it. On the 12th of December, 2018 (My birthday), she came to my house and told me she has agreed BUT THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE SEX. All I said was 'Goodnews'. I held her hands and kissed her. I told her I was going out with my friends BT she couldn't come with us so she went home.

In March, 2019 she went for her NYSC (the beginning of the end of the problem). This girl went for just a year, bt two months later it felt like she's gone for ages. I told her I was coming to visit and she was really really happy. (I don't like journey at all, I did it because I needed to see her). I spent the whole day journeying to see her and finally I got to Jos. I was happy I was going to see the love of my life.

She waited for me at the park, and when I saw her again I was indeed happy. And we headed home. On getting home, after dropping my bag, taken my bath, the question she asked me was "when am I leaving"? I was a little angry because I just travelled the whole day to come and see u and u end up asking me this ?. She apologized and said that's not how she meant it, I was so in the moment so I didn't really think about it much.

Before morning her phone was always ringing, its either she runs outside to pick or didn't pick at all. I knew she was cheating, I knew she was hiding something. We argued but settled. I got back to my base three after.

One day she told she wanted to learn something (handwork) since after going to her PPA, she would only come back home and do nothing. I told her it would be nice. Fast forward, I sent her a little money (N10k) to register which she did and learnt perfectly!

I also on my part here opened a fashion shop for her, I left the bank already because of studies and so I did opened the shop with the remains of my savings after opening my betting shop ( i did all this cus she loves fashion a lot, she loves singing and I wanted to really be a part of, if not all, BT most of her happiness). I bought two Industrial machine 95k each, bought 3 butterfly machine, 30k each, paid half of shop rent 60k with many other equipment needed to start a shop. All of these plans I did, I didn't tell her, I was hoping she would finish, come back here and then I'll surprise her with it. I felt they were good plans, I felt I was doing it for us and I was so happy BT all along "I was searching for an angel in a devil's town"... Everything got clear, she didn't even hide the cheating anymore. I was really sad, very bittered, I cried like a baby and it was really hard! Thank God I didn't do worse.

But I have not been able to move on ever since!
What should I do?
