cococandy: You did well. Nurses aren’t supposed to prescribe medications unless they are nurse practitioners trained specifically to do that. And they should only do it in the area of their training.
There’s a lot wrong with healthcare in our country and this is just a symptom of it You people not in Nigeria just don't get it. The type of nurses the OP was talking about are the quacks. No formal training but apprenticeship form of training which is illegal but those quacks are everywhere and the doctors use them for cheap labour barring the consequences. No trained RN would perform such blunder the op talked about. It's this u same abroadians that would be supporting the quacks and call them auxiliary cos of CNA that's available in abroad. CNA program is legal and recognised abroad but nothing like that in Nigeria. Those calling themselves auxiliary perform exactly like OP has depicted. They learnt like apprentice in roadside clinics and do "freedom" and go about killing people. If you haven't studied in a recognised accredited school of nursing or university in Nigeria, you are a quack. Nothing like auxiliary, they are all quacks just like the person in OP |

missidy: I thought a school of nursing is under a university? I believe school of nursing is a qualified institution so far as you completed 4 years there and you are awarded a degree. In Nigeria there are two pathways to being a Registered Nurse. One is through university(5years) and another through accredited schools of nursing(3years), just like college of education. If not for greed and lack of foresight, the schools of nursing should not be in existence anymore but this is Nigeria |

Lagusta: Sadly, you're very right
That's because the management course is just one lecture out of hundreds of clinical lectures
And we shouldn't forget that it's even our elders in the profession that started training quacks for their selfish gains
Such a sad state we are in now Doctors like u enabled quackery. Using A lab tech to run the lab, using a pharm tech to run pharmacy, using chews and quacks to run nursing services, using male nurses to pose as doctors and etc Then come out to brag about how the quacks are better and respectful than the legally trained professionals. |

gentleguy1975: My, experience is a bit different, This one is a qualified nurse.I went for a blood sugar test and after the test, she asked whether I have eaten and I said I ate some four hours ago, note:a stomach becomes empty after two hours of eating,as a rule of thumb,as a professional,I expected her to understand but rather she retorted: did I ask you when you eat? I was annoyed but could do nothing because the service was a privileged one and not by right! but why are some nurses always aggressive and disrespectful? and this one on top ignorance! You weren't supposed to eat before FBC. The stomach empties but it's content is in ur blood and would give wrong value. If you want to insult her about being rude fine but saying she's wrong for not doing the test is stupid cos your blood glucose level would increase after any meal that's why it's called Fasting Blood Glucose level!!!! |

Don't let registered nurses come for you o, getting a degree just gives an edge. There are many schools of nursing and midwifery in Nigeria and they train very lovely nurses What's with you and nurses. Both Schools of Nursing graduates and universities graduates are RNs. So your first statement is technically wrong. You don't have a BNsc without a RN even as a straight university graduate nurse. |

Fast forward to some days ago in Oct, 2021, I now have more knowledge on how to reactivate my lost account. I was able to log in and all I could see on my balance is N31, 251 worth of BTC. Bro, I quickly sell it off. I couldn't believe how awesome this digital money is. I'm anxiously waiting for the next BTC price will deep so I can position myself again. I have my email only, can I get my blockchain login from it? |

titusmichael27: My dad wrote our names before our mom gave birth to us. Michael and Gabriel. We are connected to each other in a special way that words can't explain. The only thing that was able to separate us for the first time was full time mission in Ghana. My brother tried some times ago to stay in portharcourt while I was in uyo but he was so sick that there was nothing to cure such sickness than to come back home and as soon as he got home he was okay. At 12 years old we suffered the same sickness. No red meat. It's really funny what we did that evening when our dad brought the cow meat home, I mean raw. Gabriel tasted it ( raw) and I joined him and that was the end of eating meat for more than 12yrs in our lives. If by any mistake any of us taste the soup with meat stalk then no one will sleep or have rest of mind in our family. No medicine was able to reduce or put a stop to it. It start on his own and after probably taken a hot shower and the sleep to ease the pain and difficult breathing, the bombs will slowly go on it own. This happened to us alone in our entire family history. It's the most amazing thing to have a twin. I love him so much that I can't imagine loosing him a day. We go extra miles for each other. Gabriel died and came back when I was a kid. It was so terrible that even God knew I won't survive without him then. We do see things though. Invisible things, like spirit being or molecules of water rolling around. I have so much to share with you guys but this place is not enough. We're not just twin but supper resemble in a way that only our mom can tell and dad. Some times we play plank on them though. Our voice is the same. What's your point? |

MANDIPUTIN: I am writing to you in order to make someone understand that it's good to appreciate our partners despite their flaws. I am 32 years of age. My ex husband and I dated for 6 years. We where best of friends. I waited until he completed college and started work. My family and his family then met. We got married and had a son. (7 years old now). My husband was short tempered at times but our problems started when I wanted to make him feel he couldn't control me. Every time we argued, I would pack my bags, go to my family and explain. My sisters would phone my husband and shout at him.
If he was controlling me I would always dare him that if he wished, he could divorce me. I never wanted divorce. I just had pride and I never wanted to look like a loose woman in his eyes. One day I pushed him so hard that for the first time he beat me and locked me outside. I went to my family, my family took him to the police, every time I looked like I was being abused! But to be honest, I used to abuse my husband emotionally. He was arrested and detained. I was asked by his family to withdraw the case. I felt that what I was doing was wrong. My husband was never a violent man, he did what he did because I pushed him to the wall of which he openly knelt down and apologized.
I withdrew the charge, and we reconciled. After three months, I packed my bags after a small issue and he remained alone. After two days, I received a call that he was in the hospital. My family told me that I shouldn't go there because it would look like I was begging him and my sisters believed he was feigning the illness. All this time, people felt sorry for me like I was the one being abused. He spent a week in the hospital, after he came out, I just received a divorce summon. I wanted to say no to divorce, but because I felt this pride, I wanted him to change his mind and beg me. I called him and said he would get the divorce because I lived like I was in hell. When we went to court, I wanted to make him pay, so I told the court that I needed his properties to be shared. To my surprise he openly told the court that whatever he and I acquired together should be given to me, all he wanted was divorce. We were divorced in 2009 July. Now, my husband is married, whilst l am here wasted!
My family members are gossiping about me. I depend on what my ex husband gives to my son for survival. I know I wasted my marriage. I am here telling all wives that they should be careful how they get advise. Don't be cheated, don't entertain family interference in your marriage my dear reader. Even my young sisters are much more respected than me. Those who encouraged me to get divorced are always teasing and bad mouthing me. Please ladies, be vigilant in your marriage. Thought it wise to share my story to save your marriage.
There is no benefit in pride for nothing. SOMETIMES IT'S NOT THE MAN'S FAULT AT ALL, IT'S YOUR PRIDE,AND THE PEOPLE YOU ALLOWED TO ADVISE YOU,SO BE WISE AND VIGILANT IN YOUR MARRIAGE. Culed. Sounds fictitious |

Davash222: One of the disadvantages of getting married to a feminist.
In African tradition, it's a sacrilege for a woman to raise her voice at her husband talk more of yelling at him.
In a sane African society, such a woman should be dragged to the market square, disgraced and punished by her fellow women! Has nothing to do with feminism. It's an attribute, Cholerics are hot tempered. |
