Comparing Linguistics to mass comm. I can't say it boldly that no other course that encompasses all other field of study than Linguistics. We have socio linguistics, psycho linguistics, mathematical linguistics,forensic linguistics(Law), Neuro linguistics, computational linguistics, pathology linguistics and many more.... Linguistics as a profession is one of the best in the world at large except you will not communicate... Go for Linguistics..... I'm a Linguist and proud!!!!!
