I believe your laptop powers on but doesn't display to the screen.
A lot of things can cause this, like bad RAM, PROCESSOR, corrupt BIOS, it might be a dim display issue.

To narrow it down, first of all confirm if the caplock is working fine, I.e responding to clicks, if you press it to on it will and also off if you do the same.

If it works according then motherboard is working fine and issue is either a bad flex, bad screen or probably dim display issue.

I'll also advice you see a laptop technician before you spend money on a new screen.
