Let me be specific with mine so people don't say it's a wild guess. I have been refused account reconciliation on the grounds that I am not seeking to purchase the meters. PHEDC to be precise Donbrig: Why are Nigerians wicked to Nigerians? FG heavily subsidised prepaid meters, so that Discos can distribute it free of charge to Nigerians, but here in my region, some disco officials are already making huge sum selling meters. Some of these staffs are still saying they don't have enough prepaid meters, even though they have more than enough meter to distribute freely to many homes in Nigeria.
Why are we so wicked to ourselves and still hope and pray for a better Nigeria? |

Mcy56: Lol. FTNCocoa was getting attention before the suspension, we dont know what was driving it then. I posted one information around that time, cant remember what exactly it was all about. again. This coy is in agric sector, we dont know what could happen in future ...............but as it is, their financials wasnt okay at all. ..............lets keep eye on it first and be on the lookout for any info that may be beneficial to the coy............. I think it was because of there were no release of its results since q1 2019, when they did sometime this year for q1 2020, they were improvements YOY, although still in the RED . With the euphoria of being in the Agric Sector coupled with this government plans for agriculture and all, it just caught up with livestock, okomu, and Presco in the bull run back then. We wait to see more. |

1. They failed in not activating just one refinery within their first 4 years 2. The gov't has somewhat of an endless leverage in terms of borrowing unlike you. 3. We are feeling the brunt of their mindless politicking. zimams: I wouldn't want us to derail this thread. But I'll just like to say that there are many moving parts and every thing has to be taken into context.
If we look at Onion as a staple, where is it grown predominantly? And how has the cost of transporting it to the south affected its price? How has the cost of petrol affect the cost of transportation? How has Nigeria's earnings affected her ability to continue to subsidize the cost of petrol?
What you refer to as 'lenient policies' could lead to slow death... if I assume that continued fuel subsidy is one of those lenient policies. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Zagee: 6:12pm On Nov 21, 2020 |
Back then, we had a finance Minister who was willing to be lenient with her policies knowing fully well that this population was disadvantaged. This time we have people who honestly don't care about how we feel outside the comfort of their palaces. And yes I considered covid19 too, but I doubt if covid is affecting onion price and all those element the local man needs to survive(Not live) zimams: The last recession in 2016, these same folks were also in charge... so was it different economics then? Why didnt we feel it then as you think we will feel it now? |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Zagee: 5:10pm On Nov 21, 2020 |
We are not as advanced as this AMERICA so they will feel it more but, unlike the last recession we barely noticed(local man was still cruising somehow) this one we will all feel, because of very terrible economics by this current folks in power zimams: Lol.. You and Buhari..
The economic fallout of Covid-19 na em Cement the recession following falling Oil prices. Even if na you be President with this combo, we for still enter recession. Even almighty American economy has felt the impact of Covid 19...
Anything 2021 comes with .... we will play.. My people say, 'you dont back out of living your life because there is a chance you could be hit by a stray bullet'.. |

It was just a matter of time with the wave of increase in tarrif debeey87: Administration of Stamp Duty on Securities Transactions We refer to the Public Notice in the Business Day Newspaper of Monday, 20 July 2020, captioned ?Clarification of Administration of Stamp Duties in Nigeria? issued by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) (A copy is attached as Appendix A for ease of reference). The Public Notice provided, amongst other things, information on dutiable instruments and the applicable flat or ad valorem rates, with Contract Notes1 itemized at an ad valorem rate of 0.08%. As you know, this is at variance with the current rate of 0.075% being administered in the Nigerian Capital Market. To that extent, Dealing Members of The Nigerian Stock Exchange are to note the following: 1. Effective 7 December 2020, the Central Securities Clearing System Plc. (CSCS) will adjust its system to implement the automated deduction of the Stamp Duty rate of 0.08%; 2. Dealing Members are required to immediately engage their software vendors for the required adjustments to their technology applications, to reflect the 0.08% rate ahead of the effective date of 7 December 2020; and 3. Dealing Members are required to communicate the changes above to their clients immediately, ahead of the effective date. Please be guided accordingly. |

From my layman POV, I'll answer the question with, "when will Tbs become favourable again?" Mcy56: Chai! Kwesion for the gods. Doc,make we just dey follow am as e dey go nah, we should see Signs when the time comes if we're not carried away The thing is, everyone should not forget his/her objectives. For instance, any mid termer with 100% to 150% gain for instance should not allow greed do them, make them allow another person chop too while the bull is still on. |

Just yesterday A stock did 200% plus
I missed the bus And I am so angry with myself
NYSE You get it right You get it right BIG
You miss it You pay dearly for it
People have been able to roll over $1k into $10k quicker in the NYSE than NSE
