Has IKEDI OHAKIM release our innocent sons/brothers he want to sentence to death for protesting against his bad governance!!! |
This entity called N-I-G-E-R-I-A is becoming interesting, Them go hia nwiiii |
That is the outcome of a horrible governance, YOUTHS of IMO state came out to protest BAD leadership of IKEDI OHAKIM The Governor resorted to taking them to court and charged them for attempting murder Wonders shall never end By the grace of God the Good people of Imo will surely vote him and his cronies out of the Government house. |
I thank God the people's votes are beginning to count. If Imo state's governorship election is not rigged Ohakim will definitely not win. Andrewnwa, Arinzeeze, Tochukwu----please advice your dog-father(Ohakim) to stop wasting his time dragging innocent youths of the state to court because they are kicking against bad leadership. |
I'm yet to see any city that can beat Benin in Phokiology |
Mrs Chima must either be toooo ugly or tooo old that her husband dont care who n who she communicates with on regular basis. If thatz not the case then she and her husband have a common understanding(ie DO-ME- I-DO -YOU) man nogo vex. |
@ezecharles. I didnt mean to upset you, I simply forwarded the source of the information because you taught it was all framed up. You don't need to go too far in trying to defend a governor who has ruled Imo State for almost 4 years. If he has performed averagely well the facts will speak for itself. No human being can publicly boo a man like Fashola in lagos state (and some other state governors) because of the outstanding performance. Someone accused you of being a paid internet agent for Ikedi Ohakim on another topic, could that be true? |
If you doubt the source of this info, log-on to, http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/mar/11/national-11-03-2011-015.htm Thanx. |
Imo guber debat:: Ohakim booed From VAL OKARA, Owerri Friday, March 11, 2011 • Photo: Sun News Publishing More Stories on This Section A one-day public forum for governorship candidates in Imo State held in Owerri yesterday was nearly marred by intermittent interruption by the audience when the state Governor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim took the centre stage to address the gathering. The forum, organized by the Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) of the Catholic Bishops of the Owerri Ecclesiastical Province with the theme, ‘Preparing for rigging-free, violence-free and upright voting in Imo State,’ witnessed 12 governorship candidates in attendance. The governorship candidates include Chief Ike Ibeh of the Social Mega party (SMP), Chief Ikedi Ohakim of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Emeka Nwajiuba, Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Chief Rochas Okorocha of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Senator Ifeanyi Araraume of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and Benneth Lemchi. Others are Jerry Iheanacho of the CDC, Chief Emeka Duru of the Peoples Progressive Alliance,(PPA), Bernard Nkem Opara of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Robert Opara of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and Francis Onunagi of DFPF. Ohakim , who was the sixth candidate to address the audience was constantly interrupted by the gathering , which did not go down well with him. Angered by the development (action of the crowd), Chief Ohakim threatened to quit the exercise midway if the organizers were unable to control the crowd . He accused the organizers to have hired thugs to boo him, saying the programme was skewed to favour some candidates. It took the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri, most Revd. Dr. Anthony Obinna and other priests , to prevail on the crowd to hear out the governor. Ohakim, while speaking, urged his opponents to shun peer rivalry and jealousy, even as he advised them to forward plans and programmes that could move the state forward. He added that he was laying a foundation for local government, legislative and political reforms, while he had handed over mission schools to the original owners. The governor, denied ever borrowing money from banks except the N18.5 billion bond and had sent 41 executive bills to the state House of Assembly for good governance . |
Lead Image March 11, 2011 03:24PM In a desperate bid to save himself from arrest and prosecution, former Delta State governor, James Ibori, offered to surrender a huge chunk of his stolen billions to a trust fund that could finance development projects, according to a leaked U.S. diplomatic cable made available to NEXT. The September 24, 2009 dispatch reported that Mr. Ibori, shortly before escaping to the United Arab Emirates after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission closed in on him, approached the United States embassy in Abuja for a deal that would have him give up between 20 and 50 percent of his loot in return for promises by foreign governments not to prosecute him. The former governor, the cable said, approached the embassy through a U.S. businessman and reputed lobbyist in the Washington, DC area, who estimated Mr. Ibori's stolen wealth to be about $3billion (N45 billion). "Ibori almost certainly recognizes that foreign prosecutors are closing in on him," Robin Sanders, the former US ambassador to Nigeria, said in her dispatch. "Ibori likely knows that travel to Europe to spend his ill-gotten wealth would be risky, as authorities could detain and transfer him to the UK. He may also be concerned that the same fate could await him should he travel to the U.S." Related convictions As governor of his South-South state for eight years, Mr. Ibori allegedly stole N45 billion belonging to Delta State. The United Kingdom is pressing money laundering charges against him. He is now in prison in Dubai, and on the verge of being extradited to the UK for trial. Last year, British authorities convicted close associates of Mr. Ibori, including his sister Christine Ibori-Ibie; and mistress, Udoamaka Okoronkwo-Onuigbo, who were sentenced to five years each for helping him move an estimated £70 million worth of looted funds through several London banks. Last November, his wife, Theresa Ibori, and his attorney, Bhadresh Gohil, were also convicted of money laundering charges in the UK. In his proposal to the US embassy, Mr. Ibori offered to set up a nine-member international board of directors to manage the trust fund he had suggested. Five of the directors would be Americans and Britons, with the rest being Nigerians. "The Ibori-proposed trust fund would support development projects for electricity generation, potable water supply, and police reform," the cable explained. "Ibori would also undertake to convince other former governors currently under investigation to follow suit, and return billions of dollars in stolen money in exchange for agreements not to prosecute them." A stillborn proposal Although he agreed to take Mr. Ibori's message to US authorities, even the lobbyist, who told the former governor that the US considered him (Ibori) a thug and a criminal, had misgivings about the offer. The lobbyist did not believe that any government would have anything to do with such a proposal. The emissary said that although he doubted that the former governor's deal would sail through, he was confident that Mr. Ibori "will never willingly agree to serve a jail term". The cable added, "The intermediary conceded that any proposed amnesty arrangement that enabled Ibori or any other governor to retain most of their ill-gotten funds without serving any jail time would not deter future Nigerian officeholders from doing the same". Ms. Sanders described Mr. Ibori's offer, through the intermediary, as a "maneuver" which showed that foreign investigations and arrest warrants were restricting his ability to travel and use his ill-gotten wealth. Mr. Ibori, who is still wanted by the EFCC, lost his appeal to stop Dubai (where he fled to to avoid arrest by the EFCC) authorities from extraditing him to the UK last December. |
@evilspirit. What is an evilspirit doing in the land of intelligent, responsible/reasonable living beings. Please get lost and go back to hell fire u truly belong. Are you saying that Banks have been employing dull heads and keep them in their pay roll over the years(that means the institution itself is a dummy) . Please always reserve your comment only on spare parts issues. |
I was reliably informed that BANK PHB dismissed 1500 staff yesterday(friday 04/03/2011). more to go soon. I thought the "banking TSUNAMI" is over. what is still happening ![]() |
@ Eko Ile. You've said it all. Demand and supply factor should naturally dictate the prize. If i am not satisfied with my job/the pay or the condition of service, i should simply resign and take a better one. |
A friend of mine is planning to open an internet cafe in Lagos. If Edwin Clarke ever made such silly and stupid statements, he should publicly withdraw then and apologize to all GREAT BIAFRANS or he should take a permanent back seat in all the affairs of the nation till he and his likes RIP(rest in pieces). |

Breaking news: Police rescue kidnapped journalists Headlines Jul 18, 2010 Share | The police have rescued the 4 abducted journalists. Uncomfirmed reports say the journalists are on their way to Umuahia, the Abia state capital . The journalists are Chairman, Lagos State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mr. Wahab Oba; Assistant Secretary, Lagos State Council of the NUJ, Mr. Sylva Okereke; Secretary, NUJ Zone G, Mr. Adolphus Okonkwo; Member NUJ, Mr. Shola Oyeyipo with the driver of their vehicle, Azeez Yekini. Wahab Oba,left with his colleagues It was reported yesterday, that the police have stepped up efforts to free the kidnapped journalists, police and union officials told the AFP. “We have deployed men from the anti-terrorist and robbery units to comb everywhere in Abia State with a view to securing the release of the journalists,” a police spokesman said. He said police were hopeful the four men who were seized on Sunday while returning from a conference in nearby Akwa Ibom State would be freed soon. Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretary Usman Leman told AFP that journalists were taking part in the search. “We have volunteers from our colleagues who are taking part in the search by the police. Every forest and bush is being combed,” he said. Leman said the kidnappers were insisting on a ransom of 30 million naira (200,000 dollars, 155,000 euros) before the journalists could be freed. The gunmen had earlier demanded 250 million naira. More updates later. |
That art work was in former MD's office in 2003, its not a real picture though Lagos was like that in the 90s. |
For lintel and beams you will need between 40 - 50 lengths of 12'' rod. Ply-wood and another 20 - 25 bags of cement. N/B: I'm not an architect, just from experience on the one i did at Lekki axis recently. |
If the blocks are strong 2500 - 3000 will comfortably finish the house. 30 - 35 bags of cement will finish the block work. Budget N2,000 - N2,500 day pay for each mason(ie for every 100 blocks). N1,200 day pay for each labour(they mix cement and carry blocks) |
@erico. It depends on the wife and the extended family. If the guys parents are still alive and healthy there is nothing bad in sharing the assets between the wife and the guy's parents. What if you leave all the assets with the wife and she remarries a year after your demise(God forbid) and the new husband takes over your assets and refuse to take proper care of your kid. |
To before warned is to before armed, I said earlier in this forum, a friend of mine married one URHOBO girl(Onome). The young man was innocently busy in the office when his so called wife packed all his properties and moved to another mans house(a guy she has probably been dating secretly for a long time)----people should not take this personal pleaseeeee, i'm just saying the fact. Imagine what would have happened if his wife was the custodian of all his wealth and assets. she would have poisoned him and claim his assets before leaving. Remember what happened to Nelson Mandela when he was in prison. Your wife can be your next of kin or custodian of funds if you trust her inside-out(not blind trust this time). If the poster truly trust his wife so much he would not have been in dilemma therefore this post wouldn't have been necessary. @poster, please use your discretion. |
Very interesting post from THE CLOWN |
