Career / Re: Average Salary For A Lawyer In A Law Firm In Nigeria by ZE: 1:29am On May 29, 2010
What annoys me most is the kind of 'HYPE'and ''FORMING beigh displayed by the law students who refer themselves as 'LEARNED GENTLEMEN AND LADIES'when we were in the university, expecially the ladies, 'who are you to chyke a female law student if you are not from the law faculty?

Most of us at the Engineering faculty disliked them with a passion because of the arrogance, rudness and their dont touch me áttitude. I never new that profession is nothing to write home about until after graduation.'

'Lawyers in the house please do not prosecute me, i take God beg una!!!!

My advice, immediately after graduation, begin to think outside the box as quickly as possible.

Phones / Re: How Much Did You Buy Your First Sim Card. by ZE: 2:35pm On Mar 28, 2010
I bought my MTN line N18,500 in 2002.

Then MTN used to tell nigerians that it is impossible for any network to configure per seconds billing. Per minute or a second call used to cost N50.

GLO came and proved them wrong. Nigerians protested. They were forced to adjust.(MTN-ole, parawo, onye ohi)
Romance / Re: Would You Marry A Workaholic? by ZE: 10:38am On Mar 26, 2010
Some people engage themselves in constant activities without achieving any meaningful results.

Something is wrong with a man/woman who works from 8.00am to 9.00pm seven days in a week and earn 30,000 naira at the end of the month. I call it 'working like an elephant and eat like an ant' (except situation warrants that the person has to go through that process temporarily not as if he/she derives joy in 'picking the grass')

Having said that, a workaholic that earns something to show for it will go for me any time. If you profile the habit of 95% of all the highly successful men you will realize that they were workaholics at one time or the other.

So will go for the person that works hard but works smart.

Politics / Re: Civil war not against Ndigbo — Gowon by ZE: 4:36pm On Feb 16, 2010
As i said before, thousands of innocent Biafran men, women and childern who were massively slaughtered during the so called Nigerian/Biafra war will not and can never be in vain.

My uncle miraculosly survived the BOMBIONG of a market called AFOR-UMUOHIAGU(some where in Ngor-Okpala) Imo state. In broad day light, a market filled to the brim was BOMBED, every living creature within the visinity of the market died on the spot. I once visited the scene at the market square when i travelled home. The mighty cavity that looks like the scene of an earthquake created by the BOMB blast still exist in the market square till today.

When the time comes, those who will be lucky to see, will tell the story.

Good night all.

I will not comment on this topic again.

As far as i am concerned BLUETOOTH OR ANIMALTOOTH or what ever you call your self, your time is over.
I see you as a confused fo*l.

Point of correction Afam, Biafra is not a project that has ended since 1970. It is not yet over.

If you doubt me, save this post and call it up sometime in the future.

Mark my words, those innocent men, women and children did not die and can never die for nothing.

Romance / Re: I Want 2 Breakup Politely, But How Do I Start by ZE: 7:50pm On Feb 05, 2010
Miss poster, Justice demands hearing from both parties involved before drawing a useful conclusion. The guys side of the story might be totally different.

There are lots of likely possibilities;
1. the guys new job might be very demanding for now as he is still under probation(not yet confirmed).
2. It possible you are rude and he was tolerating you while hoping/praying for better days to come.
3. etc.

He who wears the shoe knows where it pinches, analyse the situation and advice yourself.

Heeeeeeeeeeh, there is real trouble in the land.

Food for thought,

1. what goes around comes around
2. do unto others as you would want others do unto you
3. The Bible says, Honour your father and your mother so that things will be well with you.

Those why despise ther mother-inlaws, i am sorry for you all, and any man who sits down there and allow his wife to maltreat his mother in anyway, SHAME ON YOU.

Politics / Brother Jonathan 'goodluck' To You(from Daily Independent) by ZE: 2:59pm On Dec 22, 2009
Brother Jonathan, Goodluck To You

Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria’s Vice President, surely knows something about the awesome pull of power. He knows that power tastes like honey. Power also chokes. Power comes with greed. And greed kills. Every politician is anxious at grabbing, keeping and expanding power.

Jonathan remains a lucky man. From the classrooms, he has climbed steadily to the top of his political career. The story of Buddha fits his rise. Buddha was born in an open field, away from luxury. Philippe Gigantes says at his birth, the night sky was bathed in great light, the deaf heard, the dumb spoke, the lame walked, the gods bent down and kings welcomed him. It was an extraordinary birth. Jonathan’s life has been extraordinary.

As deputy governor and now the Vice President, Jonathan has fully adopted Robert Green’s theory of power. At every point, he makes his superiors feel comfortable. He refuses to display his talents. Instead, he makes his bosses appear brilliant and himself dumb. In a bid not to arouse envy, he keeps his lips sealed and covers his intentions with a bowler hat. He knows that powerful people have always impressed and intimidated others by saying less. He parades unspoken expressions and keeps a straight face. His looks and utterances hide any trace of ambition.

That is how deputies, in every democracy, are expected to behave. As powerful as Dick Cheney was under Bush, he became more visible and damningly vocal after leaving office. He was guided by history. He knew he had a job called silence. Imagine our hitherto loquacious Senator Joe Biden! When last did you hear him speak?

Similarly, when Diepreye Alamieyeseigha was to be impeached, Jonathan remained disturbingly quiet. He showed neither loyalty nor enmity towards Alamieyeseigha or his enemies. When the moment came, he invoked the Constitution and seized the throne.

Presently at the Villa, Jonathan is surrounded by people who claim to love ailing President Umaru Yar’Adua more than Nigeria. They watch his every move. They watch his lips. They read his mind and offer subjective interpretations. They initiate issues, gauge his words and body language. Then they get frustrated.

Those paid to watch his lips know that the office of the VP is next to that of the President. Any ambitious man in that office is dangerous. So far, they have not found such a person in Jonathan. The man has learnt how to keep his thoughts to himself. Just like Macbeth, if you harass him too much, he replies, “if chance will have me king, why, chance may crown me, without my stir.” But what about the saying that, “kings are made by politicians and newspapers, and the man who sits down waiting to be crowned, whether by chance or just right will go bareheaded all his life.”

No Vice President in history ever cherished that office. Even Cheney calls it “a cruddy job.” America’s first VP, John Adams, told his wife in 1789: “my country has in its wisdom contrived for me the most insignificant office that ever the invention of man contrived or his imagination conceived” When George Washington‘s tenure ended, Adams stepped into the real thing.

Stephen Hayes, a newspaper columnist says Thomas Marshall, who served Woodrow Wilson as VP, described the job as “utter useless and frivolity (because) a great man maybe VP, but he can’t be a great VP because the office itself is unimportant.” Senator Daniel Webster turned down the job because, “I do not propose to be buried until I’m dead.” John Garner, a former House Speaker who served FDR as VP said the office was not worth “a warm bucket of spit” and that accepting the job was “the worst damn fool mistake I ever made.”

Maybe Jonathan does not want to imitate John Tyler, America’s first VP to succeed a dead President. William Harrison was the first American President to die in office. Tyler, who succeeded him, had strings of terrible firsts attached to his name. John Baker says Tyler was the first president born after adoption of the Constitution; the first President widowed while in office; the first president to marry while in office; the first president to father 15 children; the first president to be expelled from his own party, the first president to face a failed impeachment attempt, the first president to change his cabinet with a drop of the coin, and the first president to have Congress override his veto.

These are the things Jonathan hates. I believe that even if Yar’Adua receives a call to heaven today, Jonathan would seek divine intervention before accepting the office. He would be thinking of what happened to Andrew Johnson, the man who succeeded Abraham Lincoln at his death. Johnson was the first American President to be practically impeached. Only one vote in the Senate saved him.

How come succeeding dead Presidents has most often been a sad adventure? The successor seems to always be on the wrong side of history! This is why Jonathan does not want to overstretch his luck. Like Cheney said in 2004, even if the VP is the evil genius in a corner that nobody ever sees him come out of his hole, “it’s a nice way to operate actually.” Agreed, but that was because George Bush never had a terminal disease and never went to a Saudi Specialist Hospital. Goodluck to Jonathan! He is the one who actually needs our prayers.
Politics / Re: Ibori Is Discharged And Acquitted by ZE: 1:31pm On Dec 18, 2009
Everyday for the thief one day will be for the owner of the house.

Everyday a monkey goes to the market and come back he feels like a hero, one day the monkey will not return.

He who thiefs(bori) and run away leaves to thief another day.

a word is enough for the wise!!!
