Second Picture shows Muhammadu Buhari of the APC declared at the same Eagles square and there was no space for people to even stand. No one was given a kobo to attend.

Sky B. This 9ja guy made name for his self in 2007 with his debut album "Pray For Me" which sold nearly 1 miliion CD copies minus pirated copies, what really made that album tick was the hit track "I"m Calling" which made 9ja especially the Eastern part of Nigeria sit up! And go "gaga". The other tracks where hits also, some done with slow emotion laden beats and some done with what was considered party beats back then, although compared to now, those party beats are outdated can't match the current one produced now.Based in Portharcourt Nigeria's Sky B was famous for how he mixes great vocals with local flavour producing a genre of Hip hop which we havn't seen of recent. Not even the likes of Baby oku crowner Flavour and 9ice can match him on that, the guy was so talented that people started grading him on par with the likes of P.square and 2face(both of them seniors).Year 2008 Sky B was tipped to become a long time member of Nigeria's music industry, as bright and young as he is many expected him to become one of the pillars of 9ja music, as he was in the same form with Alingo crowners the group known as P.square, Ihe na eme artist 2face and the 9ja beef master Ruggedman not forgetting Idris. For a promising talent who burst into limelight to vanish like that is beyond comprehension, how many current Naija artist made it into limelight on their first try? Only two I know of Timaya and Sky B, Timaya with his first Album, that hit 1 million copies sold since then he havn't looked back.

Sky B six years counting

Is now six years since Sky B vanished from Nigeria's music scence, like a whirl wind, he vanished into thin air. While Sky B went into self-exile,P.square, 2face, D'banj and others has risen, they are growing from strength to strength, in six years P.square has produced over 2 dozens of solos, a handful of collabos, many awards, has signed record contracts with foreign record label, became ambassadors to many organizations particulary Globacom.2face on the other hand is not left out, 2face is an example of a succesfull music artist, has won many awards, has collaborated with top International music artist, has won many Children (if you consider that an achievement) has finally settled down.The koko master himself D'banj is not left out, in six years he has his own record label, collabos with many local and International artist, many awards.In six years many new artist have entered 9ja music industry, during that period we have seen muscians like Flavour N'bania, KC, Wandy cole, African rapper no.1 M.I, Iceprince, Olamide, Nato C, Omawumi, Stomrex to name a few. Producers has risen to the challenge and has produced excellent beats, in many cases it is the beats that makes a song sell, if you doubt me listen to Iyanya's "Kukere". In six years party beats has evolved to a new level no longer what is used to be, the senior artist has also adapted like P.square first 100 percent party beat produced "Alingo".
Everything has changed, the beats, the artist So Sky B has vanished, is he sleeping? Is the competition too much for him? Is he dead? Sky B where are you?. I'll try and find out even if it entails going to PH.

The agent advised him that it won't a good moves to declare that he used the agent because that may affect his application. And unfortunately it caused a damage to him.

Good day everyone in the house. Please i heard of a sad story and i want to share it with people in the house so that the Virus of the scam wont spreed in Nigeria.

A friend of mine was scammed $15,000 by Canadian Immigration application agency ( Swift travels Solutions) with the website address http://swifttravelsolution.com. for a work permit visa TRV to Canada.

he paid the $ 7, 800 to their office address in the United State (590 Great Circle Rd. Nashville, TN 37228) and they sent him LMO and Job offer Letter from the company the agent arranged from him, Not knowing it was a fake document until the embassy confirmed it.

Prior to the submission of his application, this same agent asked him to pay $6000 for accommodation in Canada which is one of the clearance from the CIC that he was ready to relocate for the job in Canada. He went ahead again to pay $6000 for the accommodation and the receipt was scanned and sent to him through his email address. ( I know so many people will be surprise and tag him as being stupid but this people are just too real to ever be fake ).

He made his application to the Canadian Embassy with the documents from swift travels solution and after three months of the application processing time, The Embassy invited him for a chat on the fake documents ( LMO ) and he was asked if he used an agent but he declined and he was denied on the ground of using fake documents.

He contacted the agent and they promise to refund his money but up till today, efforts to get through to them proof abortive and to no avail. they no longer take his calls and even respond to emails.

Please if anyone have an idea of how to track this people, Let us try and help out. I have the email address of the agent and their website is still active.

People should be vigilant of this agent. I am sure all the pictures on their website are fake pictures. if you get any email or pop up advert from swift travels for any immigration assistance, Please try as much as possible to discard them so that you wont fall to be a victim.

ojoolajire: Oga , you don't need a rocket science to understand that TRV applies for people who wants to stay temporarily in Canada as the name implies. Also you can work while been a student , you just have to wait for six months or u can work immediately on Campus only.

You are gettin it all wrong man. TRV means temporary residence visa that is meant for people that applied for work permit in canada. I said it earlier in one of my post that student visa doesn't go with TRV. If you have a student visa, at the point of entry in canada, you will get study permit that allow you 2 stay in canada for studies, remba you are not allowed to work as a student. And work permit means you are allowed to work.

Please, get all dis clear and don't mix things up.

Before you applied; did you check whether your skill is on the occupational list, IELTS score, age. Remember is a point based system. Also, did you do credential assessment with your skill body in canada. All these are steps you need to take before you apply. I guess your application is invalid, because you should have receive acknowledgement letter by now

U guyz should understand that there are differences btw student visa and TRV visas to canada. If you have a student visa, at the point of entry in canada, you will be issued with study permit.

blackmann: That front gate is usually a deadly place for the students. During my days as a student in Lautech we had numerous loss of lives there and several riots. Vehicles speeding from Ilorin don't even bother slowing down when the approach that area. It got to a point the skool closed that gate permanently and all students used the Under-G road (the back entrance).

Nollywood script or not, reality is often times stranger than fiction. Take a break from everything; posting on nairaland, talking with your friend, thinking about this issue etc. Go to disneyland or something.

You have learnt some lessons which everybody that has read this thread will add to their own lives. Points of note for you, me and everyone.

1. Never register all your assets in the name of another in the name of love. Lawyers always advice against it because of issues like the one you have mentioned. Always seek fair representation, especially in societies overly sympathetic to a gender over the other, e.g. western societies are too feminine while african societies are too masculine. Again, always seek fair representation.

2. When this is over, forgive her threats. It could be a result of hormonal changes due to the pregnancy.

3. Cut down on your calls to your friend. However, there is nothing wrong in talking to a friend for over 2 hours daily. In fact the same scenario plays out in the small company I am working with now. I and my boss were former bankers who left banking last year. It was his friend in the UK who gave him 25% of his registered company so that he can manage it. The company is a success story so far. People should go and read the story of Goldman Sachs on how a family business can become a global giant. It often starts from relationships such as yours.

Also, try to get your wife into intellectual discussions which could stimulate better communication between both of you. I have discovered that people with analytical/philosophical minds always have something to discuss every hour of the day. I always imagine myself living in the same room with Gani, Wole Soyinka and Chinua Achebe. Just imagine the quality and quantity of discussions.

4. As for your MIL. Seek counselling from your pastor.

5. Lastly, wetin all of una dey do for UK? If you are well to do, get an equivalent job in Nigeria and come make an impact here. I hear you talking about Solar for Ondo State. That is fantastic. However, it is your insistence to become a UK citizen that has given your wife an edge over you. Come back to Nigeria and build your wealth.

The company that I work, which I spoke about above, been managed by my boss has made more money than the one in the UK. Infact, the other owners are now seriously considering relocating so that their children can understand what it means to be blessed and not take things for granted.

If you have the connections that landed you a contract with the Ondo state govt. You should grow this connection and make an impact in the society while growing your wealth. This will be to the overall benefit of your family.

I need to open up this new page without having to quote anyone cos so many people have done just perfect to have followed up my thrend and drop a good comment. However, I commend those with negative contributions too cos they are also part of progress am about experiencing at the moment to better my marriage.

Frankly speaking, your comments have been making waves in sorting us out a little bit cos despite the commencement of the whole problem, the calls goes on. But right now, I had to get home from work, check ppls comments on NL & May be discuss with him for just half an hour & st8t to bed.

The marriage btw Morenike & I clocked 3yrs feb 2013.

She finished her secondary school in Fakunle comprehensive high school in osogbo, osun state nigeria and university education in the united kingdom. we met in a friends child dedication three months after I relocated to uk.


Useful facts!

We stays in our own apartment which we bought 2011 with my share being 70% from the total cost of the properties. Although its by mortgage but all the documents were prepared under her name cos of all the rights she has over me as a UK citizen.

I know so many ppl will attack me for taken the above action but I see her as my wife and never thought of any instance that might root the case out of us in a negative way. I have accepted her after our marriage and building our home should be our topmost idea which I prioritized.

I got converted to a xtain abt 14yrs ago in the university. Dayo is a gud Muslim but one thing that surprised me is that, that didn't stop our friendship. In fact, I tried getting him converted too but he is so principled and focus that he holds on2 his religion and never discourage my decision.

People should know that there are people out there ready to do anything just to see a smile on their fellow humans face.

Dayo has 3 kids and his wife is from rivers state Bonny lady precisely! Most atyms I wonder y tribe can't really play a good impacts on our side having married a yoruba lady whom I think should understand better and keep devil off our path on the so called scenario.


Conclusion.
My MIL according to the Pastor called him on phone and the has taken a full charge of the heat. But it wasn't funny that they didn't mention the threats and warnings given to the pastor.

Well,we were both there yesterday & the pastor advised us together and called me to a separate room and insist I reduced the calls from dayo or take time to hang out weekends to discuss fatal issues if need be.

He also warned me of my MIL and said he will keep praying along side with me for a breakthrough.

Right now, things are little bit down but I noticed she is always looking sick due to her condition. We didn't go to church today cos she complained of not feeling so good and vomited that I had to clean up and made her breakfast. As am updating here on NL she is on the bed sleeping after I got her hot custard & chips.

The Pastor didn't allow us to give details on the cause of the problem. He only advise us and asked us to stand as husband and wife, seeing it has one of the challenges of marriages so many atimes ppl face in life.


BUT as for me, the Q is, how do I gradually help mysf from it.... Then from what happened, I have gained a lot of things and its making me not to be too free to Mprenike again! Do I just let go & start another life with HER after her nasty threats?

She wants you to sacrifice your friendship for your marriage. My question is why will you be on HSMP and still be fearful of RP threat? Provided you have no wrong doing be it assault, then I don't see why your ground should be shaking and the need for associated trembling. For you to be this worried means you either not on HSMP or you are worried about your marriage and not RP. If you are worried because of the RP it implies that your HSMP claim is invalid and your story is far from the truth. If you are worried because of your marriage then I can understand that, and your concerns about salvaging your marriage. From my own point of view....If it is about your marriage then, unfortunately you have to weigh your options because if you pretend and play along till you get your RP will you still be willing to be with her? what kind of threat will she be issuing, probably the assault and neglect or rape? A woman or man issuing any kind of threat be it divorce or RP threat just because he or she has an advantage over your status not your life has no wife or husband credentials and hence not a wife or husband material. If your HSMP story is valid then I don't see what you have to loose from her threat. Marriage is not about threat or taking advantage of one another.Provided you two can have a dialogue and reach a consensus not you obeying a threat order. If you go on to pretend till you get your RP then divorce her then its obvious its all sham. She is taking advantage of the fact that you need her RP.To me thats slavery 21st century. Yah, I am not afraid of her threat on the issue of the RP cos I came in with HSMP years ago. Its subjected to a renewer with some back up documents. One the other hand, she has a RED passport which means, if I change to be under her, things would be much more easier for me.

I have not even given the whole details, People have been wagging and saying a lot of nasty statements against my thrend. Well, I had to hold my peace cos I came to seek for a collective advice but not to be in the position to fight or attack the lovely people who have taken their time to follow up on my post with a good contribution in terms of comments made with a distinct act of mind.

I believe so many people have been looking at these as a story! But be candid, its something that beats my imagination too cos everything looks and appear like this nollywood story in nigeria.
