The events that has unfolded in Nigeria over the years has made me overly skeptical of the present govt, I make sure I read and analyse every information in bw the lines that comes out of the orifice of aso rock

It was under the GEJ led govt that bokoharam grew from A bunch of miscreants to bomb wielding terrorists that has sent about 13,000 Nigerians to their early grave, rampaged and created for themselves caliphates as large as the state of Virginia and crumbled economic activities in its wake

Despite a state of emergency declared for 18months of 6 months consecutively, the bokoharam insurgency festered like wild fire, recently the president in his usual naivety told us he undermined the bokoharam insurgency, perhaps that's why it took the govt 3wks to believe 219 girls were kidnapped in an operation spanning 5hrs (that statement alone is enough to have initiated impeachment proceedings against him) that has claimed over 13,000 lives, now its only fair to deduce that the state of emergency was just a faux pas that has only enriched the cats in the military why the rats were allowed to die for nothing as no significant gain was achieved during the so called emergency rule.

I cannot comprehend how a military that stood by, feigning helplessness, not long ago, can be praised for doing their job four years late. I am yet to be convinced that an institution like the Nigerian military, revered abroad for its prowess, will woefully fail in its primary responsibility of defending the territorial integrity of the nation could be praised. I fail to see how I am supposed to be grateful to those who
intimidated, harassed and even question my humanity. I am at a loss
on why I am expected to canonize an army that more often than not been a military wing of the PDP. I am but a poor Nigerian whose humanity was diminished by those holding guns on
our highways, acted as agents of intimidation in elections while terrorist were having field days in the towns.

We were told sambisa forest is just a large expanse of vast land and can't be penetrated, they said its a guerilla warfare and the fighters don't have a face. they sometimes claimed collateral damage and civilian deaths was the reason why they didn't act. They instead chose to play politics with lives and properties while the insurgents Gained more grounds.

Now in 6wks they have made considerable gains, thanks to those gallant young soldiers who fight tooth and nail while their ogas stay in abuja and share the money, they have stopped waiting for bokoharam to attack before they repel, now they have been the ones on the offensive and book haram is fleeing.

This shows the level of complacency in the GEJ led govt. If it takes the fear of loosing an election to buckle up, what guarantee do we have that in his 2nd term when he has nothing to loose he won't be found in his usual slumber.

Now in 6wks they have "RE-COMMISSIONED" two power plant and says we have now gone to the record breaking 5,500 mega watts, (even tho GEJ met it at 4,500 and under his watch it plummeted to 3,500) tho am yet to see the improved power. In 6wks they have made more significant gain on the insurgents than they did in 6years. The only consolation I find in this longest 6weeks of Nigeria's political history is the good news from the president that Shekau will be caught, I am not even bothered about shekau, I am confident once shekau is caught, our missing girls will go home to their mothers, chei poor girls. I hope GEJ doesn't disappoint on this and gives us the real shekau this time.

Pertinent questions needs to be asked, what has happened now that couldn't happen in 6yrs?? But we know better, unlike 2011 we are wiser now and that's on the PDP. We not naive anymore and cant be fooled. The presidency is only been smarter by half. We won't fall for this last minute scam and theatrics for whipping up votes.
