this is the step to take so you can be able to get a new visa
1. report to the police and get a detailed reporT

2. email the embassy about the lost passport and visa

Be sure to include your full name, date of birth, place of birth, address in the United States, and an e-mail address (if available). Specifically state whether the visa was lost or stolen. If you have a copy of the passport or visa, scan and email this to the embassy or consulate. Otherwise, if known, report the category of visa, and the passport number from the lost/stolen visa.

3.Applying for a Replacement U.S. Visa
Lost or stolen U.S. visas cannot be replaced in the United States. For replacement of a visa, you must apply in person at a U.S. Embassy. When applying for the replacement of a visa, you will need to provide a written account documenting the loss of your passport and visa. Include a copy of the police repORT

We married Dec 2012 but we were not able to file our I-130 application until May 2013 due to attorney fees. Then we got caught in the government white house shut down once that passed things moved along as normal time frame but we again we delayed slightly due to the aos requirements. We got all approvals with no RFE's and smooth, so to speak. Then we had our interview 11\05\14 & we were put in AP with no stated reason for it. He was given contact sheet, completed it and gave it to the officer b4 he left the embassy. Tomorrow is 3 months in AP still with no reason why. Hope that helps? But, I can provide u more details if needed. I'm just so worried b about his safety and plus I really miss my husband. Due to my mother medical I have been unable to revisit bit I would enjoy another visit to see him again and to see more of Nigeria. Any thoughts on whether I should contact them again or still want it out a little longer?

I mean full details but I doubt the insurance , your wife came on B2, how was she able to sign up for an insurance with the short time. If it's not Medicaid/ Medicare, then you need to take a breath but if it is, then pay off that bill ASAP

If the insurance was private , I don't see any problem with that. The only problem is if this so called insurance is "medicaid/Medicare".

Right now, he has lied at the embassy about paying the bills but he will scale through if the wife truly used a real insurance or if they pay the bills in cash.

Your wife did not somehow "manage" to use U.S tax payer insurance for delivery without somebody lying on the relevant forms.
The U.S. government does not offer socialized medical care for foreigners.
The so called "free" healthcare that your wife has enjoyed was arranged for her by an unscrupulous person who knowingly falsified records.
This bill will eventually be paid by U.S tax payers. You have further complicated the whole case by lying to a consular officer under oath during your visa interview to derive immigration benefit which is a material misrepresentation.
The only way to HOPEFULLY remedy this case ( you may still be banned from entering the United States) is to pay off all your bills and keep the receipts .

My wife in New York somehow manage to have delivery using some insurance company in New York USA. My wife was on B2 visa.

After delivery I applied for USA visa and told the reason of seeing my baby. I claimed that I sponsored the delivery of baby by giving 10000 $.
The visa officer gave me only 6 months single entry visa.

He told next time if you are applying for visa you have to prove that you really sponsored.

by having baby through insurance will jeopardize my future visa or is it legal to have baby through insurance.

It is 100% legal to have your baby through insurance because even in USA, everyone has one insurance or the other to foot their emergency bills

A lady here has used insurance to pay off her bills and she didn't have any problem so far.
Insurance is like a monthly contribution, anytime you need it, they pay off your bills. Although insurance varies depending on which one you signed for.

If insurance truly paid the whole bill, then you will have a 0 account with the hospital. Take the zero account receipt with you. That's all the evidence you need for future visa issuance. If the insurance company didn't pay all, you have to pay the remaining yourself
