stevecrun: Graviton and Zeezahbee,i understand your points.
Am not against transfering to another cheaper schools.Nobody, has it easy..we no be dangote cousins but we still have to ger that visa and make a future for ourselves.
These reasons is why some reputable schools in the united states rarely give admissions to international students..coz they use their name and i20 and get the visa abd then transfer to another school.
na them sabi. Sebi na to just enroll for one school. Shikena

honeyad: You can transfer sir without even stepping in the city of your school you got visa with... You just have to alert both schools a week before resumption so they can transfer sevis fee... It's on the i20 page2.. Can you read and understand that aspect before you give a false info? I'm actually not insulting anyway..

Stay blessed
Honeyad, you get sense. I for snap my i20 but I no dey house but I read that stuff well. Its even on the uscis website. Its not a crime to transfer, everyone should understand. Make una leave your naija mentality, no school can force you to enroll but they can only probe you if you don't transfer because they will report you.

Joenice, I hear you. Thanks anyways.

stevecrun: and why did that student not look before jumping? Before, you apply to a school, you look at the school's website, call the Director of international students and be satisfied with what you see and hear before proceeding.
Like my school,i dont think i can switch to another school for any reason. The fee is what my sponsor can readily afford by the grace of God.
anything can happen. As long as he will transfer to another school, I think its fine. Assuming he wants to use the visa to waka about and look for job in US without enrolling in school then there will be a problem even schools advice people that have financial issh to apply to college for UG or change school for Masters.

Shikena. Lemme know what else you want to know

olumide098: I will advice You guyz to always stick to the school that brought fortune to you..Imagine school that spent their resources in giving you i20 and other documents...for you to enter yankee and you think ignoring them, jumping to other school will encourage them from issuing i20 to people....pls do not let us spoil today for other applicant..abegi!!!
Saint OLU, whick kind fortunehuh Sey the school follow you go embassy. You talking about resources, didn't they collect application fee from you, application fee is also part of printing i20 and letter. So because they gave me i20 and then maybe my sponsor got broke or something happen along the line, will the school fund you ? Nah, they will advice you to go back home or apply to a cheaper school because you will run out of status if you don't pay. Lemme tell you something as you are transferring out of that school, someone else is transferring in. So the school don't care.

na lie don't mind him. It fully written in my i20 how to transfer and the school will just send your sevis info to your new school, you don't even need to resume at the school on your i20. There's a form A and B1 I think, I will read it well after I break my fast.

calmdown: Hello house, thanks for the continuing contribution to this thread. I will be glad if someone who bought his air-ticket recently can give a guide as to how to get a cheap and comfortable flight. Considering Qatar though... Kindly help breakdown the various options available and their advantages. In addition, I noticed that the prices change each time I make a search. Is that true or is just an optical illusion? Waiting...
Qatar is cheap, I book 2weeks ago for $738 (121k) to JFK. Checking qatar for those traveling in august is now expensive, you should budget from $900-1000. Lemme know if you need more info.

I disagree with you.

Inconsistency in information is frowned at by the US and shouldn't be encouraged here.

Being aware that the information given and the one processed doesn't align and still carrying on with your travel plans can be considered as withholding information and this is a violation and can easily get you a cozy return trip back to the Land of the Super Eagles.

I sent you an email.
let the dude follow his heart jawe. Replied your email already

juntod: Well, we Nigerians have to be extra careful most times. A Canadian or British won't worry about this. Like I earlier said, no harm in contacting the consulate. Its the best bet but to me, its not necessary in this scenario.
Like seriously, seems they don't understand . Several people on this thread have entered the US with a visa bearing a school name and resume in another school, no POE will send you back or consulate will revoke your visa for that. Transfer is legal and as long as you resume in a school, you are still on status. He's even lucky both school are located in oklahoma. Well let's wait for the reply from the consulate, dafweshdude aint the first that will have this issh. I will appreciate if he inform us of the consulate reply and it will be the same thing I have said ( he should go with the cameron visa and i20 and transfer to north eastern).

Zee, I have made my point clear. What do you do when you pay in NGN30,000 into your account and the bank registers it as NGN29,000. If you can answer this then you will have no problem understanding my point.

I am not in a particularly good mood owing to Nigeria's loss so I will not dwell further on this issue. Advice has been given, it is Dahfweshdude's decision to make now. I will be praying for him.
Gravvy, it won't hurt if he tells the consulate or not. All na same, consulate won't give another visa, they will only tell him to transfer. Am not saying he shouldn't inform the embassy. Anyways dafweshdude follow your heart

Lana75: Thanks pharm for ds opportunity, I have itching in d mouth, d upper part that is very close to d throat. D itching only comes during rainy season, when d rainy season is over it goes. When it so severe I take piriton but d itching stops and comes back in a few days. Any help pharm? Another problem is malaria that refuses to go what best drug can one use? If I take malaria drug d symptoms will stop only to come back in a few days. Thanks as I expect ur answer
Itching in the mouth may be as a result of your mast cells not stabilizing well, looking @ d season against what can cause,it is either you have been taking something more often that is close with the season,eg dry corn, full or whole grains or u are take some medications that has the side effect of oral thrush,my candid opinion for u is to feed regularly on fruits and vegetables and be on the look out what causes. As to the malaria, did u run a test, what is the result like +,++ or +++.this will give a clue, also run typhoid test and a full blood count, your white blood cells might be too slow to soldier foreign bodies .Cheers

Graviton v.2.0.:
Zeezahbee, when did I say his visa would be revoked? Please do not misquote me and put me in a bad light. I have said this before to Juntod and I will say it again, I am aware the DS-160 loses some of it's notability and relevance once the subject "enters" the States. I was referring to the I-20 he used for his visa interview. Do well to read and understand my post.

The bolded, A permitted and acknowledged transfer must be made before a student of F1 status can be allowed to resume in another school other than the one he got entry with. If you indeed know anyone who has done like you stated without transfer, then by all means let that person know that if he/she is found out, she/he will be sent back to Nigeria pronto.

Dahfweshdude, I will advise you to table your issue at the embassy since you are sure the I-20 you used for your positive visa interview wasn't Cameron's and some information (like the name of the school you gave) differs from the information the embassy processd . If you insist on "carrying-go", you are O.Y.O. Simple!

I don talk finish.
What am trying to say is there's no big deal in what happened, even the consulate will tell him same ( he should rectify the school issh wit sevis and travel with both schools i20). Informing the consulate or not, he's good to go

doctore89: Hello house, please can i take both printout of my toefl and gre to the embassy, and also i dont have my school certificate only a " to whom it may concern" which i have been using since graduation.
yes you can take your toefl and gre print out. didnt your school issue you the certificate or you are far from where the certificate is? anyways it will be fine if you go with it but if it wasnt issued then you go with your transcript and the to whom it may concern . goodluck

Graviton v.2.0.:
I just hope he did not present the Cameron university I-20 at the embassy instead of the one he filled at the embassy, since he said he had all of them with him.

I wonder how the fault came about. I think it was a mistake on the part of the embassy, so he should contact them to get it rectified and seen to. It would not serve well if he went ahead with the visa, his records conflict (His DS-160 reads North eastern universty and He is going to Cameron university) even if he passes the POE, the record might come back to haunt him when he wants to renew his visa: plus the US database has no record of him transferring.

I doubt his visa will be revoked, except he is found to have consciously with-held the truth. If he presents his case convincingly then his issue should be rectified within scheme and he will proceed with his travel plans.

After this has been rectified, I would advise he paid another SEVIS fee, this time with the name of his present school to avoid wahala at the POE.
dont confuse the guy. haba, its not that hard na, he should travel with his cameron visa and i20. this is not the first time people are getting visa with a school and resume in a different school. the embassy wont revoke his visa lailai. the truth about ds-160 is that its only meant for the interview thats all, after you enter the USA your ds-160 is NIL. all you record and evrytime they need to know is on your i20, visa and sevis(uscis) shikena.

Dafweshdude abeg carry go, no fear

deols: The year us 2058 I see a man in a security peesonnel garb with a tag, Consultant gateman. He works in a teaching hospital and the Union of teaching hospital gatemen just won a lawsuit. They are afteral doctors, like the nurses and pharmacists. Cleaners are now directors and orderlies run the board meetings.

On a serious note,I believe pharmacists, nurses, etc should be taught 2 have a sense or of pride in their professions. The run after titles should b discouraged and good attitude to work emphasized.
Chaiii, you need E-slap seriously. where are you coming from? Try read this thread from the beginning and understand no one is asking for a title. I wont say so much to you but read other post and assimilate before you reply ok.
