I laff in Swahili. I am amazed when people talk about listening to a song in a better sound system. Whether china phone or staple center sound system, a sweet song will always be a sweet song. It is so glaring that what people just listen to, is the beats of those songs.. what about the lyrics and chorus? Truth be told, most of the lyrics and chorus of the songs are just not too good. A D'Banj singing that "Take Banana" song would have killed it! Well, all in all, it was a rushed job.. Btw, who is Don Jazzy competing against by releasing an album so fast? D'Banj? Lol. I am sure D'Banj wouldn't be looking to compete or beef with these guys cos it is waste of time.. since he knows they are a group and he is just one person. |
In the first place, y'all have even forgotten D'banj is older than Don Jazzy before people start spewing junks about the whole issue. D'banj had always respected Don Jazzy all along and also giving him the leads in every music/videos) even when he does the most difficult job of singing the hitz and entertaining his fans. |
We are NGA-Radio (Nex Generation Atlanta Radio). Just celebrating our first full year of operation. We mainly promote local, national, and world wide artists. We have a full autoDJ system that normally plays our promoted artists 24/7. We have a client that you can use to connect to the autoDJ and control what the bot plays using our artists database, no real technical skills required. You can even make the bot use text to speech to talk on air. You can go a bit more advanced and stream your own music from WinAMP, which requires a bit more work, but relatively easy. But if you are more advanced user, we can get our server to connect to your SAM MySQL database and list your available tracks on our web request and mIRC request bot. Live. People can request songs from you as you play live. We are in full operation. We built, and maintained our entire server from ground up on Linux. Not using 3rd party hosts with limitations -- Dedicated Server. As far as our artist go, most are Hip-Hop, R&B, Rap, Soul. We have had a few additions like some Rock, Dubstep, and other international artist. There is no set music we play or accept. As a promo, we accept new artists all the time to help with promotion via twitter, fb, youtube, web, etc.. free. Our artist give us full rights to their songs, so we have full permission to stream, (and in some cases if the artist allows it), to download, for us and our DJs. As far as what you play when you connect, we do not control that, so you have full control over that, although we do ask to promote/shoutout/etc to our artists and the artists list webpage on our site. We do not believe in censorship or discrimination, so first off. You must be 18+ to apply. **Contact Us In The Chatroom on http://www.nga-radio.com |
It is not easy flying to St. Kitts.. Sometimes, especially if you don't go throught the U.K or U.S, the transit is in two countries and the journey lasts for 3days. |
U.S embassy in Nigeria are simply looking into ways to increase their revenue from visa applications (and inevitable denial). |
Poor salaries. |
The mobile site version is cool, but the web version is crap...IMHO. Continue to tweak the web version until you make it desirable. |
So sad... So sad... |
fresh_dude:@fresh_dude, Thank you jare! @Killz, there is a lot you still need to learn about love, money & relationships. I have a feeling with your mentality, you should be in your late teens or early twenties. I'll advice you face your career and save your money, rather than spending on a gal (just to continue to win her heart). |
@killz: I'm not actually this tall. I'm sitting on my wallet. . . Above, is your signature on nairaland. Continue with this 'spending' mentality and the probability of you marrying a LovePeddler is pretty high. |
~Killz~:Calm down, dude. Your post was titled "Love, Money & RELATIONSHIPS" and not "Love, Money & MARRIAGE". They are two different ball games. In the 'future', you will be working, married with kid(s). But at present, you are most likely depending on your parents for your needs, so don't think the lady is not aware of your circumstances (except you are into cyber crimes or illegal activities that fetch you money). Even if you are gainfully employed with loads of money to splash and just starting out your career, a lady that truly loves you and wants to settle down with you, won't like the idea of you spending on her (e.g buying latest blackberry on her birthday, buying a first class ticket for holidays rather than settle for an economy class, etc) . She will advice more on savings and spending money on productive things. I can tell you that if she is in a relationship with you for temporary pleasures your money can give her, she is definitely in love and in serious relationship with another guy she doesn't demand from and she can plan her future with. |
I completely disagree, because it is not compulsory to spend before you are loved or fall in love. Most ladies are even after the future prospects rather than the present pleasures. |
I want arsenal to win, but any of the two can win tonight. A draw is non-negotiable. |
Simple truth is, most career women don't do house chores. They have maid(s). |
With respect to this board's popularity and size, i think there should be an "Archive" forum. |
That is how a traditional board software is programmed. Quite different from social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook etc. On forums, most times only one e-mail address is required per username. So, you can't have more than one user account with one e-mail address. |

100,000 applications in a year is small. If you also consider the fact that some people would have made between 2-3 applications within that same year. |
chika98:You should know that more Americans and Canadians study medicine in the caribbean than they do in their home countries respectively - United States and Canada. Apart from the fact that it is expensive, US and Canadian medical school admission is very VERY competitive. Some applicants are even put on waiting list for years. Along the line, most applicants throw away their MD dream and take the DO career path, which is relatively easier to get into. You think there are many Nigerians studying on the caribbean islands? Yeah, you're right. And FYI, many Nigerians are being denied student visas by these caribbean countries in recent months. So, invariably these countries know and they are cutting down the numbers. Caribbean countries where we were once visa-free travel to, now require visas, and to make matters worse, they deny visas a lot now (regardless of if you've paid your tuition or not). God help Nigeria! |

And doctors too should go on strike. Damn country! |
goshen360:Right on point! I mentioned this, in the last thread that was deleted/moved, but someone replied and called me a liar. As i type this, the person should have gotten his visa, arrived in U.S already and preparing to start school in spring 2012. Irony. |
webstradamus:Guy, this is sad news. I don't know nor have your contact, but I can understand the pain you will be going through now especially after having booked your ticket and already dreaming about the American life. IMO, i think you 'over-announced' the fact that you got a U.S visa to your friends, families and foes-alike. Life is a mystery - a total mystery, most especially in Nigeria. You can't seperate those who love you from people who are backstabbers. I hope other applicants will learn from this, and always keep their mouth shut until they have travelled, even before they apply for a U.S visa interview. In your search for your passport, don't look outwards, look inwards. One of your friend or relative would have 'taken' your passport, and if the person will not use it, surely the person will sell it. Yoruba's say: Eni to mo eni, lo n seni. Many people are in the U.S with another person's passport (it is one of the most popular ways Nigerians travel to yankee since the early 90's). Having a change of name in the U.S years after, is easy. I pray you find your passport o! If not, it is a hard and painful lesson to learn. Experience is a good school, but the fees are high - Others should learn from this. |
So sad...
