Grandmeister: The snake in the op has a bluish hue..it’s NOT a green mamba for goodness sake! That’s a very common snake in this environment...I’ve actually held one before..any black snake na either cobra or black mamba for una and every green one a green mamba Ah finally someone who can spot the difference between the coloration of this snake and the green Mambas I don't know how people checking Wikipedia somehow miss the description of both snakes... |
Nairaland General › Re: See The Snake I Killed In My Trousers Pocket!! by Zeroenochone(m): 10:22pm On Nov 20, 2020 |
osazsky: a tree or vine snake normally has pointed head...and has little venom that cant kill an adult.what the op posted is a eatern green mamba.spot the difference from both pics Maybe you're right But eastern green Mambas are only found in Eastern Africa It's kind of a long shot to think they'd crawl all the way to the west..... |

Obas101: It's the same, there is western green mamba as well. they are not different Eastern has a different coloration to western bro Eastern green mambas have a yellow-green underpart Western has a yellowish upper part instead and has dark markings on the tips of some of its scales We're both reading from Wikipedia btw |
Nairaland General › Re: See The Snake I Killed In My Trousers Pocket!! by Zeroenochone(m): 8:54pm On Nov 20, 2020 |
Obas101: bro it's a green mamba mostly resides in trees and found commonly in Africa. do your research well and stop showing ignorance, and it isn't harmless. Well it could be a tree snake as well Eastern green mambas haven't been recorded in western Africa And this image definitely looks nothing like a Western green mamba...... |
Nairaland General › Re: See The Snake I Killed In My Trousers Pocket!! by Zeroenochone(m): 8:49pm On Nov 20, 2020 |
Obas101: y yea very sure... highly venomous Images of green mambas I'm seeing don't match this snake he killed though And it seems the green mamba is really called can be subdivided into the eastern green mamba they can be found in Eastern Africa Nigeria isn't an eastern African country so I don't think this kind of snake can be found here Then there's the western green mamba which can be found in Western Africa Nigeria inclusive |

I was scared at first, Cos I have never killed a snake, I summon the courage, And hit the on the head and that was it!!
I feel like a super hero right now! LOL Lol Nice looks like these tree snakes or something probably isn't venomous |

southsouthking: You are right bro.
You don't demarket a product because you want to market your own product.
There are many ways to market a product without mentioning name of another product. Really bro ? Have you seen Google pixel or Samsung adverts?? You need to watch some This doesn't even qualify as demarketing (in my opinion) because a lot of brands throw subtle shades at iPhone It's just strategy to make buyers see/think they can get more from your product than some other product Although in reality infinix note 8, in fact infinix zero 8 is miles away from IPhone 12 It's pretty obvious that these guys were either just cruising or they were marketing infinix products but infinix Fanboys have started mssturbating over it already The likes of don Jazzy will not choose any android device over an IOS device not unless he plans to use it as small phone it's just common sense really |

Phones › Re: Snapdragon 665 Vs Helio G70 by Zeroenochone(m): 8:04pm On Nov 14, 2020 |
atheistandproud: There are lots companies competing in the midrange tier and we are going to look two rather popular SoCs in this segment. The Snapdragon 665 (SD665) found on Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 and the Mediatek’s Helio G70 on the Infinix Note 7.
So lets go…
Microarchitecture:
The SD665 is an octacore SoC with a 4+4 big.LITTLE arrangement. There are 4 Kryo 260 gold (Cortex A73) core clocked at 2.2GHz and 4 Kryo 260 silver (Cortex A53) cores clocked at 1.8GHz. In comparison, the G70 has a big.LITTLE arrangement of 2+6 with 2 Cortex A75 IP cores running at 2.0GHz and 6 Cortex A55 cores running at 1.7GHz.
The G70 obviously has better CPU cores at this point regardless of the clock speed.
Instruction Set Architecture
They are both built on the now dated ARMv8-A instruction set, so that is a tie.
Size
The SD665 is built on a size of 11nm while the G70 is built on a 12nm. The SD665 is going to be cooler, conserve battery better and should be slightly more efficient.
GPU
The SD665 ships with the Adreno 610 which runs at a speed of 850MHz while the G70 comes with the slightly better Mali G52 MC2 which runs at 820MHz. This is a hard one to call because while the G70 has the better GPU, developers of games design games better for the Adreno GPUs.
RAM
The SD665 comes with an LPDDR4x RAM module with a maximum space of 8GB. This RAM runs at 1866MHz. The G70 also uses the same LPDDR4x but it runs at a lesser speed of 1800MHz. SD660 takes this one. Multitasking and app switching would be better on the SD665.
Storage
The SD665 supports both eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1. The G70 only supports eMMC 5.1. Point goes to the SD665 because it has more storage options.
ISP
The SD665 has the Spectra 165 for image processing and the Hexagon DSP 686 for machine learning on board. It can handle camera resolutions of up to 48 megapixels and 4k video at 30 frames per second. On the other hand, Mediatek are unclear about the type of ISP that is used in the G70. What we do know is that it has some sort of Neural engine on board, handles camera resolutions of 48mp and can only handle 2k video at 30fps. Both the SD665 and G70 have a maximum display resolution of 1080p (Full High Definition).
SD665 is definitely head and shoulders above the G70 here, especially in terms of handling video.
Connectivity
The SD665 comes with the Snapdragon X12 modem rated at cat.12. This modem has uplink speeds of 150Mbps and downlink speeds of 600Mbps. The G70 has a generic modem which Mediatek also failed to name and it is only rated at cat.7. It has uplink speeds of 100Mbps and downlink speeds of 300Mbps. Both of these support Bluetooth 5.0 and Wifi 5.0. They also both support GPS and other peripherals like Gyroscopes and Accelerometers. For this one, the SD665 wins.
Benchmarks
Benchmarks only rate CPU and GPU core performance. With Geekbench, it is a bit of a mixed bag as G70 has a better single core performance while the SD665 has a better multicore performance. With Antutu though, there was no such thing as the G70 was way ahead of the SD665. The G70 takes this one.
Final Say
If all you care about is processor performance, you should most likely go for the G70. But if you care about how photos would look like on your device, how high resolution videos would play, faster multitasking, storage options and network performance etc. The SD665 is without any doubt, the SoC to go for.
https://inquisitiveuniverse.com/2020/11/14/snapdragon-665-vs-helio-g70/ This more provides a clearer answer to the discussion I was having with a brother on another thread about Helio g70 and g80 Vs sd665 Thanks for this I really gained something Great work |

Meister: A number of your takes are very flawed. I use a note 9s and I'm not even allowed to set my fps to the highest settings when my graphics is in the highest settings.
I don't understand how you supposedly get 60fps in some game modes when I hardly ever get up to that and even if I do it's not stable.
I also don't know how you're able to play games in HDR when SD 665 is not HDR enabled.
I've watched numerous gaming reviews of these processors you're mentioning and a number of your takes are a mismatch As for the club house stuff here's what I think The smaller the world the higher your FPS, club house isn't bigger the building with the record player in downtown, infact it's smaller, much smaller for that matter so there's no way you'll play club and won't be able to achieve 60fps If your screen could support 120 FPS you'd clock it in club house I think soldiers paradise is what it's really called However this hypothesis of mine doesn't explain why Alcatraz is such a stress for my phone on very high because Alcatraz is pretty small yet my FPS there is usually low |

Meister: Bro my brother uses redmi note 8 and COD automatically gets set to medium on the game, you can set it to very high on low fps but it wouldn't be as smooth as it should.
The g70 and 80 can play very smoothly on high graphics at medium fps at least, that I'm very sure of.
COD is actually not that heavy, camon 12 can even play it smoothly at low settings. The best games to check how well a phone can carry heavy games is PUBG, fortnite and the rest No actually it depends on the game mode you're playing if you set COD to Very high the option for high FPS is still available for all game modes but it'll only be truly high in multiplayer matches If you play multiplayer matches at very high you'd still get 40 to 50 FPS Last season (season 11) call of duty introduced another location, a sort of club house or something and my FPS there on very high is always stable at 60 FPS, And as for battle royal it depends on the location, if you're in some places you'd still get up to 40 FPS(when you're not in any city or when you're running towards the edge of the map) and mostly you'd be playing at 23(in areas like downtown and sanitarium) to 30 FPS(in areas like sakura, kill house etc) mostly 30 FPS, however the frame rate could drop so rapidly for like a second that the game would seem to freeze for a second (most times I'm already dead before it comes back) And I'm sure you know that the minimum FPS for smooth gaming is around 25 FPS (but I've played Borderlands 3 at 21 FPS before on my laptop though and it was relatively smooth but the rate dropped anytime there was an explosion or something) Playing 'Alcatraz' on very high' is suicide because the FPS would be too low for most of the game (probably around 17 to 21 FPS or something I've not bothered to check since inly was so tasking) so it's better to run that one on medium You can ask that your brother to confirm And that's why I concluded that sd665 GPU is better because the it can at least force itself to run the game at that level. Moreso I think the fact that COD itself allows very high graphics settings for sd665 and not for Helio g70 or g80 means that it acknowledges the CPU And Helio G80 and g70 that I've seen have not passed medium graphics settings Even Helio p60 in the umidigi power 3 can reach high graphics settings and it'll play smoothly, sd636 also reaches high graphics settings I have a brother who's phone is running on sd636 but he has never actually tried playing it on high Although it's all just based on my experience though I acknowledge that Helio g80 and g70 are quite better than sd665 but the gaming part of them didn't really impress me but perhaps they intentionally capped it down for both processors and maybe they can infact handle it on very high I have a habit of pushing my devices to their limit, that's why transsion isn't suited for me at all, and so far this phone has been doing pretty well with everything I've been throwing at it I believe Fortnite is really heavy though, I couldn't run it even if I tried, PUBG however I don't think is that heavy because with the right game enhancing tools even an Umidigi a5pro would run it at a higher graphics settings though it would not be exactly smooth, I've seen several game plays on Redmi note 8 running it at HDR without any noticeable lags,I even think COD on very high has better textures than PUBG on HDR but I can't really say for sure I don't really know how to compare textures that much it's really a matter of preference to me So I think PUBG intentionally capped their graphics levels for most processors despite some of them being capable of running it |
