Meister: Bro how can you say SD 665 is better gaming wise than the g70 and 80 ? They both have higher GPU and CPU performance than the 665. Do your research again sir I have I wouldn't say it if I haven't What I realised about the comparison is that they are just numbers because I've seen gaming on a phone with Helio g70 (infinix note 7) and Helio g80(redmi 9) And frankly put none of them can run games at the graphics level that I can, for call of duty at least and I'm sure you'll know that call of duty is quite heavy You'd have to actually compare gaming on all processors to understand, though I think some games are more optimised for some specific processors than others But neither the Helio g70 or Helio g80 can run Call of duty on "high" they can only reach "medium" while the sd665 can go as far as "very high" I'm thought I said that the Helio g80 and 70 are quite better than sd665 (because I've seen the rankings) but not in terms of gaming as far as I've seen at least But if you can provide games that Helio g80 and g70 can handle better than sd665 I'll be more than eager to listen |
Romance › Re: As A Guy, Have You Ever Been Misinterpreted By a Lady Your Trying To Help? by Zeroenochone(m): 10:31pm On Nov 13, 2020 |
smartxyz: Hello guys,
Please have you ever been asked "what do you want from me?" by a lady that you just wanted to help with no strings attached?
I was driving home yesterday after work and a lady (average looking) flagged me to stop and i decided to stop and gave her a lift. I asked her where she was going and she mentioned a bustop before mine and i said lucky you... We had a lil chat as i drove her and she seemed really fun, We got to her bustop and i offered to be taking her to work in the morning since she stays close to my place. Then suddenly her face changed and she asked the annoying question "Oga what do you want from me?".. at that point i was dumbfounded and sad at same time. But i had to quickly smile and said "nothing" then i drove off.
For me i find it sad, a lot of people are not used to good people doing good things without wanting anything in return.
How do you feel and react when asked that question?
Please share yours No I don't actually blame the woman, infact I think she's smart to ask that sort of question As for me if I was after something I would still hide it for a while and if I was just being nice I'd just tell her, surely the question would come as a shock to me though |

I just thank God say a factory reset restored my phone. I'm very scared of developer options I've not activated the option on my phone |

How dare he buy a phone of ₦120k without securing his future, right? How do you know his future isn't secured already? As in its just tiring. Someone that can afford a phone of 120k obviously has his future secured, probably more than the person that asked him that question sef What's the point of accumulating money if you can't spend it on things you want and can afford? |

Tolexandre: Hello nairalander, It has been a while i posted but i hope this counts. I'm having less than 90,000naira with me and i'm confused exactly which high-end phone to buy with stunning camera, screen size, battery life and at least 4G. I dont wanna buy junk that i might regret buying in less than a year. Your contributions is appreciated and will guide me.
Cc: seun, lalasticlala Get a Samsung bro Probably a20s or something You could also get a Nokia, I'm thinking Nokia 6.2 would be a pretty nice device for that amount I'd advise you to get a Xiaomi but if you let a Xiaomi get damaged you might regret buying it because getting parts can be problematic But if you're confident in your phone keeping skills then get a Xiaomi You'll get a Redmi note 9 or Redmi note 9s for that amount |

Mark23: Yeah, I've been using it all day and it's been good so far. I even messed around with the Security App in the morning to confirm whether it was really the problem and surprisingly nothing happened.
I'll avoid the app going forward sha. If I experience the bug again I'll have to find the time to return the phone now that it's still fresh in my hands.
Did you report the bug? Ah thank God Hopefully it doesn't bother you anymore It's good that you tóok the initiative to report the bug Hopefully they'll release an update to fix it soon |

Mark23: I got the Redmi Note 9S yesterday and I'm currently experiencing a very frustrating bug. A message saying "find device has unexpectedly closed" will flash across my the bottom of screen and then the phone will reboot itself. When I unlock it again, the message will appear again and the phone will reboot itself making the phone unusable.
When it happened the first time I didn't know what triggered it but I did a factory reset on the phone and updated the os to miui 12. I was able to use the phone for hours without any problems but this morning when I opened the Security App it happened again. And I had to do another hard reset losing all my data in the process once again.
I've reported the issue but I don't know whether they'll address it. I looked online and I saw that some other xiaomi phone users have been experiencing this as well.
Has anyone here experienced this too? Yes it seems the issue is pretty common to random units I recommend returning the phone, nothing can really be done to fix that issue asides the bootloader stuff that the other guy talked about Take it to them and tell them about how it switches off on its own and ask for another unit Sorry for the inconvenience bro Totally didn't know such a problem existed |

Mark23: It's basically what I said in my post. The message flashes at the bottom of my screen then it reboots immediately, and it continues like that until I do a factory reset on the phone. The second time it happened was when I opened the Security app. I have no idea what triggered it the first time.
It seems the Find Device and Security apps are connected somehow and as they're both system apps I can't just disable them to fix the problem.
I've reported the issue but I have no idea if they'll actually help me. Right now I'm using the phone without setting it up completely because it could happen again and I don't want to waste my time and data with another factory reset. Go to the Xiaomi thread try to get a screenshot of that issue when it happens again or use another phone to snap it along with your 'about device' section I'll help you check online if it's a general problem that can be fixed, there's no way you'll buy a phone of 98k and I'll tell you to manage it If it's too disturbing you might have to return it I'll get back to you later |

RubiesBanking: When did you buy the phone? I think you should get a replacement if it's not less than a week you ordered it, I use the note9 pro which is a similar device with 9s and don't experience these problems. More so other note 9s users haven't been reporting this on the Mi community and you should know how people report bugs and complain about the delay in releasing miui 12 updates on it |

Jacobx007: Please guys, why am I having "Xiaomi SIM activation error" when ever I switched on my phone? Any solution to it? Brother make no mistake It's doesn't mean you can't use your phone in peace, it's just a sort of security procedure to enable Xiaomi to track your phone incase it's stolen I think It can be disabled You could also activate it by having enough airtime on your phone to send an international message It'll display the stuff like that but it's not affecting your phone or your user experience in anyway |

The Redmi 9 even has a better GPU, better buildup with CCG3, better FHD display oppose the a21 HD TFT display, 18w fast charging oppose the a21 15w charging. Even more affordable. 10thElement: Hi bro
For that game controller he is actually right xiaomi is not compatible with game controller with pubg and some other games only ROOT access can grant you permission .
And also remember MIUI still has bugs as well which I think I might be facing at that time .
Every user has his or her own experience....
I'm not taking sides but speaking from the plan angel
If a user should complain about Infinix phone in that manner Xiaomi fan boys will say all sorts about Infinix buy I checked all his threads and in return Infinix fans didn't take up the matter like xiaomi will do . Where did you see it that it's not compatible with gamepad controller and you have to root in some cases A brand that even produce their own controllers I just searched online for this sort of thing and couldn't find anything to validate that claim , please try to produce evidence apart from what the infinix marketer said If you're sure of what you're saying then provide proof, not what that guy said ooo because more than half of what he said about his Xiaomi device was false as far as I'm concerned If you can find some genuine article online where multiple users complained of that please post it here You claim you're not taking sides but did you really investigate this before siding with infinix? Just checked YouTube and I've seen countless videos of Xiaomi devices gaming with gamepad controllers, including PUBG Secondly PUBG bans anyone who plays the game using a controller if that person is discovered so if you try it on any phone and it doesn't work it's either the controller's problem or the game itself It doesn't have to be a Xiaomi for anyone to realise that there are more forces in play than just your phone when you decide to use a controller If you have any proof or facts that clearly show that Xiaomi devices don't support controller without rooting it then please present it |

Thundeh: Thanks for your honest truth. Again I want to know about its maintenance, such as: Do they have a replica of Carlcare anywhere in Nigeria? How expensive are its parts such as screen, battery, panel, etc? How quickly/soon does its screen got broken when fall? No no no no no Although there's an unofficial repair centre called rayya care or something Parts aren't expensive, they are just normal of you try to order it online, the real issue you may face with repairing a Xiaomi is trying to find parts for it locally, they are not officially present here in Nigeria and Xiaomi parts are scarce because of that. And as for the screen, their screens usually come with gorilla glass 5 protection I personally watched a video of someone testing the screen of a Redmi note 8 by dropping it from 6 feet repeatedly onto a paved road It survived all the drops but some parts on the edges were crumbling off but the screen itself remained intact So their screens can take a lot of beating before it breaks There's even a thread here o. Nairaland or a Redmi note 8 that dropped from the eight floor of a building and only the touch screen was shatted the display itself remained intact but the entire face of the phone was pretty cracked |

YangaBabe: whatever you say, it still doesnt change the fact that they brought the advent of android smartphones to Africa, what stopped the other brands from doing such? didnt they know Africa existed? I'm not trying to dispute the fact that they were among the very first brands to start selling to Africa and that's why they are pretty strong here now, that's a well known fact Like I said They didn't do you a favour they only spotted a free market and targeted it, it's business really, Nokia would have given them a serious run for their money but they chose to start with the wrong operating system (windows) which didn't support Google play services and all. And that's why Nokia's presence in Africa has weakened so much. And I believe what I said already countered your belief that " we'd still be using java phones if not for transsion" that statement you made just isn't true. Just as Transsion filled the void that Nokia left, another brand would have filled that void if transsion didn't seize that opportunity |

YangaBabe: fair point, if not for the likes of TECNO we might have been stuck to Java and symbian phones, we wouldn't even know a double sim phone could exist Really sis ? If Albert Einstein didn't discover the theory of relativity someone else would If transsion never existed we would still have access to smartphones now, it's just how the universe works. I'm pretty sure everyone back then would have thought that if Nokia doesn't produce Android phones we'd never use smartphones and Transsion beat them to it So if transsion wasn't there some other brand would have risen Don't be so emotional and forget about reality They didn't do us a favour they only targeted a free market and sold their products |

Thundeh: Bro I love your detailed analysis on this device. Want to ask you a question as a layman on mobile phone, does redmi note 9pro or any xaiomi phone support updates e.g android 11 or 12? Hmmm Updates well Xiaomi is trying in terms of updates the redmi note 9 pro comes with Android 10 already But it's sure to receive android 11 as well even though it may take time For example I use a Redmi note 8 and I'm awaiting an android 10 update with miui 12 and probably it will arrive before the end of the year or early next year I think it's taking so long because they are trying to push an already heavy miui 12 together with Android 10 to the users Phones like redmi note 7 and redmi 8 have received android 10 already, as well as redmi note 8 pro and countless devices I can't actually mention With Xiaomi it's not android system updates that are intriguing but the miui updates while they way they release updates for some of their phones may be slow they still do a pretty good job with updates |
