Youngpo413:Hard to say, there have been unconfirmed complaints of tecno's recent devices having lower battery mah than written on paper. But what task did you use in determining the battery comparison? Have you tested the htc10 against any other higher mah device even 4000mah? |
michealekene:Most devices have this option, the doogee y6 max has the background killing feature in developer mode. But he is talking about usage not standby by time. Or I got it wrong? |
Ogbenimax:From Google play store. |
austinereds:I have read complaints of manufacturers lying about batteries mah, [mainly tecno]. It's hard to prove right or wrong because most reviewers of the Nigeria made devices don't have proper testing equipments to measure a phone's mah. My advice is, before getting a device, if the battery is most important to you, check out a review of the battery. Oukitel is quite reliable in that respect. They Do every test including durability for their devices. |
Youngpo413:Which of the 5500mah device have you compared it to? |
Aiykay:Alright sir, nice. |
Youngpo413:There is an ounce of truth to that if you are comparing the same capacity of batteries. No matter how good the optimisation of a battery is, 3000mah cannot last on the same use compared to a 4000mah battery. I have an infinix note 3 and doogee y6 max. Doogee y6 max has 4300mAh battery powering a 6.5inch, things gets running by MTK6750 1.5ghz chip. Infinix note 3 has 4500mAh battery powering a 6inch, keeping activities going is mtk6753 1.3ghz chip. No matter how closely I have tried to notice the battery usage, doogee y6 max lasts A LITTLE longer during use compared to the infinix note 3, that might be due to the MTK6750t being optimised for less battery consumption. E.g if I play mortal kombat x mobile for 3hrs on both infinix note 3 and doogee y6 max. Infinix loses 40% doogee loses 38 or less battery percentage. But it terms of standby time, the note 3 lasts significantly longer. The infinix note 3 loses at most 2% when not in use[that can be traced to the xos optimisation to minimise the background usage of apps] Doogee loses sometimes 4-5% of battery during idle standby, when I check battery stats it's usually the cellstandby that takes all the percentage during those 11hrs of standby, I think this is due to the 3G symbol that is also on whether data is on or off. From this comparison you can say the infinix note 3 and doogee y6 max are on per on battery usage due to optimization. But that changes if you compare the infinix note 3 to tecno l6 or L8, or the doogee y6 max to doogee bl5000 or oukitel k6000plus. I hope you get what am trying to explain. |
Aiykay:If you are open to suggestions you can do the following. Run antutu[benchmark and 3D] test. Compare the screen quality to any known phone e.g infinix note 3 or 2. How long the battery takes to attain full charge from 15 or less percentage to a 100%. Screenshots of the phone ui and about details. Front and back Camera quality compared to any known device. If you can't do it here on nairaland, you can create a whatsapp or telegram group, and then add interested persons to the group to check out the reviews. |
Oscarpraise:Good for you, some like me prefer to sort for spare parts than to purchase already wacked phone from the factory. |
Nice. Should we expect any more info or its just the unboxing you are interested in doing? |
Babanhajiya:No one spoke for anyone, everyone spoke for themselves, sadly majority of whom detest the phone either for price, content or build. Maybe thousands of people are already buying this piece of disappointment. One thing I know is, I won't be among the buyers. And also it matters, because if you won't buy it, then that is one loss to infinix and a gain to another manufacturer. A good profit strategy is to attend to the needs of everyone, one way or the other. This device is neither cheap, affordable nor classic. It's targeted at the rich who are careless with spending. I wonder what section that is in the current phone market. |
Selling any infinix phone to purchase a tecno device is like leaving your personal house because of flood then moving to your ex's house that is plagued by robbers come rain or sun. Tecno l9plus is quad core 32bit chip infinix note 2 is octacore 64bit... Meanwhile, make I send this link to a friend thinking of getting tecno l9 plus... |
Babanhajiya:the 29k question to you is. WILL YOU BUY THE INFINIX SMART FOR 29k? |
For 29k this is what I expect at least. 2gig/16gig rom. Mtk 64bit quad core 4G enabled chipset. Support for sd card upto 128gig. For the specs of the infinix smart, anything above 17k na waste of funds. After all its a for entertainment not a daily driver device. Why spend 29k for an mp3 player with sim support? Tecno and itel dey make powerbank with sim slot, infinix dey make radio with sim support. Waiting for gionee. Maybe na led light with sim gionee go drop. |
Got the doogee y6 max [courtesy mr Noobody] if you wish to know more about the device chat me on WhatsApp 0703130101three or on telegram 0805145302two. I keep getting banned when I post the telegram link.

oviejnr:Nailed it |
crotonite:Cool. I wan buy am, I go give you 75k for am. Lets talk on WhatsApp 0703130101three |
Well it made sense. Infinix went for 5.7inch because they used samsung galaxy note 7 touchpad for the pen sensitivity. Any 'boom' yet? Just guessing. But made sense. |
Used to have the same problem on my device. What I did. Disabled unknown source, uninstalled the app, restricted background data of every app. Uninstalled all apps not from playstore. It still came back. What may have worked. Installed addons detector from play store. Tracked the app details with zipper and found the app vendor to be com.rlk.frameworkservice. Phone not rooted so I was sure it was being installed by another app. Did further tracing to locate its source found it in the root of my internal storage. Uninstalled and deleted it, it came back, I then renamed it to .notification.apk and uninstalled it without deleting it. No problem over 3 weeks till now. Suspected carrier. Jumia.apk app not downloaded from playstore. Inconveniences it cause. Had to delay selling the device because of it, didn't want to sell someone a phone with possible virus infection(phone sold after two weeks of observation buyer is a close friend so the phone is still being monitored} Data usage: Less than 200kb per notification. Virus detection: No antivirus flags it as virus yet. It maybe usuing an advance virus/malware/fraudware still unknown to scanners, or it's just an harmless ads app harmful to your device and data. I hope this works for anyone, "notification" app is the worst experience I have had during my years of using mobile phones, having no control of what comes into a phone can be very painful. |
Itel just dey make powerbank with screen then overprice am. No wahala sha, infinix did worse with note 4 who kee them? |
Thanks I got it, twice to be specific. Total 400mb on same sim. To be honest, the etisalat page is pretty neat and easy to navigate through, etisalat did a nice job. |
Thanks for the number sirs. |
Good evening. Please someone drop noobody's phone number.. |
Good morning everyone. Anyone using doogee y6 max on the forum? Getting it from Aliexpress. Would like to verify some stuff and possibly know the best store to get it from on Aliexpress. |
rookidmart:Thank you sir. |
Good morning everyone, please I want to get the xiaomi mi max prime. How do I go about it? |
oscillation55:So its tecno l8 plus in a new case and price. Tecno must really love dragging the past to the future. |
emmavis4u0052:I see sir, so the "master class" used was based on itel not on the phone's ability to compete with other phones. It sure is a master class seeing this is probably the only itel phone with a camera listing. Otherwise 2012chipset, 1gig ram, 5.5 hd resolution on a 2017 device that is being priced above 21k is far far from being in an acceptable class, not to mention a master class. |
Mikeshiangala:Since you no go answer question about your post, why you no post am for google then. And its ally, not allie. |
I was looking for what entitled it to be a device worthy of the name "master class". Then I remebered, its nairaland. |
