Huawei is creating an os, not life support. Yet Google has gone from nexus line etc, to the pixel lineup and its not stopping other phone companies from competing with them, but rather servers as a scapegoat to android beta modes and assurance base when testing android newer versions by Google.
If the beta isn't working fine on the Google pixel even Samsung and others won't update to the version of android to avoid fatal outcomes on their sales.

What you see as a disadvantage to harmony os is actually an advantage.
Huawei is not asking companies to test run harmony os on their products, but huawei is bearing all the risks.
If it works great on their devices and any manufacturer is interested in adopting harmony os on their devices huawei won't hold back.

Samsung has the snapdragon s10+ and their homemade chip[exynos] powered s10+. Which ever you like, you buy.

So expect to see huawei pX android and huawei pX harmony soon.

Just so you know, huawei phones are running their in house chipset hilisiri and it powers every of their devices, and huawei mobile phones salse isn't dropping but rising, no one is deviating because it's not using snapdragon chip.

So relax, if you decide not to get a device because it uses an harmony os, fine.
But know this, in three years from now, when the first harmony smart phone device drops, it will be the talking point of the web not android.
Whether it will succeed android or not, time will tell.
If you ask me, I would rather it doesn't, the smartphone world is big enough for up to 8 oses with better things to offer.

So harmony is welcomed.

no, on the contrary, you will find it very hard to pick a product that is not made in China over the Chinese product.

here is why... They are affordable, advanced, maintained and sustained by their origin.
If Chinese were being forced to use only made in China goods, or goods owned by Chinese citizens, then the Apple products being sold in China would have no stand nor grants to extract almost 5% share if not more from the Chinese market.
Mind you, apple sells more products in China than Nigeria. Who asked or forced Nigerians not to patronize apple products?

Taking the Harmony os into consideration, my first device wasn't android. When android came, it offered better things and freedom compared to it, at an affordable price so I switched.

I for one has always been worried at having android as the only driving power in the smartphone industry [excluding ios because it's not open source] because a lot could happen and if Google or any integra part of android gets flawed it will be a slump to the smartphone world as we know it.

if the harmony os does create a competitive environment to any os including android, great for smartphone and other electronic devices users. I remember before the coming of the Chinese into the android system, smartphones were only for the rich and data services was for the selected few.

The China led empire has grossly benefited the world technologically in the past few years than that of the America administration, this is true without compromise.
When it was America on top, we weren't worried about trade wars, it was actual wars were lives, cities and properties were being lost with traces leading back to America and her quest to be involved in places where she was not wanted.


Today huawei is driving the 5G market with force while the America lead administration by Trump would rather have countries don't patronize huawei who is selling at a 2% increase in price with the option to pay gradually.
No one is forcing anyone to do anything, but even the lowest of countries have huawei, the Chinese, to thank for their development, not America, not Trump, not ios, not Google.

Without huawei's strides in the telecommunications industry many countries including Nigeria would still be operating on edge or 2g network communications, leaving ios and any product useless no matter their potential.

Let the harmony os come, if it fails, then let another come. Nigeria by work and improvements and technological advancement will someday soon, creat a world impact like the Chinese are doing.

If I create my os, it will face competition, competition is good not bad. Asking huawei to forego their pursuit of an alternative to android because it may fail, is like asking the world not to advance in Ai technology because of the fear of the rise of machines.

Fear of failure is a limiting factor not smartness.

The blackberry, windows phone (big hit), Symbian, chrome os and so much more have all failed to android and os and their only selling point is it's faster like any one bases speed on os and not processor like android doesn't open apps fast enough like putting the os in a phone with a bad processor will make it fast, like android isn't even winning over ios that they'll lose to a Chinese os like the only reason Chinese products aren't so heavily used is because of the population of China like Huawei has a fucking chance lol with the mate 30 camera looking like washing machine they won't focus on making future tech phones like red hydrogen or nubia z20 they're thinking of making os.

I stated the obvious when I said infinix can't afford the super amoled display panels.
the vivo v11 for example and other manufacturers including Google on their previous devices before switching to LG oled panels, used the super amoled display panels except you are saying these companies are Samsung subsidiaries or have an investment share with the oled department of Samsung.
The fact still remains, infinix can't afford the aforementioned hence the opting for the more inferior amoled display, which is of little or no difference when compared to an over saturated ips display panel.

This debate is between the Vivo z1 pro, A70 and 7 pro.
these are all 2019 midrange devices.
They are all good phones. But there is an edge that the A70 and 7 pro has over the z1 pro, and that is the usb type c port, this tiny addition makes both the A70 and 7 pro stand out.

I already mentioned few advantages the usb type c has over the type b. If you want more you can do an online search, because everything I mentioned before is personal experience using the usb type c, if you want more information searching online will be what I would do, so instead of acting like I know it all, I would encourage you to go online.

That said, every phone you mentioned above is neither considered a midrange in 2019 nor do they have the sd675 or higher chipset in them.

It's not a case of discrediting the vivo z1 pro, it's a case of stating the obvious.
If you are saying nfc is more important than the usb type c, it's not part of the discussion, if we are stating the relevant or necessary features of a smart phone and thus far. That will only broaden the debate scope and we won't arrive at any reasonable conclusion.
Even at that, neither of the three devices houses nfc, correct me if am wrong.

Subsequently, the inclusion of the tecno phantom 9 in your listing of devices the z1 pro is more appealing against is quite irrelevant, because earlier, I stated vividly that the vivo z1 pro can be regarded as a class above the phantom 9 and the infinix note 6.

So instead of being angry at me for picking the one error that cannot be ignored in the vivo z1 pro, be angry at vivo for being too casual towards something so little yet so noticeable as the usb type c.

To answer your question. What big chin are you talking about? It has a screen to body ratio of 81%. How is that a deal breaker of any kind?.. So except you are saying the screen to body ratio can be better at 6.3inch, then I don't see any point in your claims.

This is 2019, it's criminal to bring a device with a usb type B hardware.
