When you have used tecno or infinix phones for a while. And you lay hands on a xiaomi or huawei phone. You realise tecno and infinix devices are java enhanced devices with android footprint, a washed out display with poor internal and external materials, made for low expectancy. Tecno and infinix phones are for the rich, because you will always find reasons to buy their next device, if no be ram, e go be battery or screen just after a week use. Xiaomi phones are just in another level, sometimes I feel xiaomi have a backdoor to purchasing phone parts so as to sell it for such affordable prices. A xiaomi phone of 60k is worth more than a tecno or infinix phone sold for 150k. Every xiaomi phone has a 120% value worth. Every tecno or infinix phone has -35% value worth. Anyone who thinks anything I wrote is false or unverified should quote me. My doogee y6 max of 2017 is performing at such an incredibly level after a year plus, still no tecno or infinix phone can compare to it in terms of price or specs. Let alone comparing any of these cheap mediocre devices from infinix and tecno to xiaomi who from China conquered India technological market in 2years. Posters who are saying xiaomi will struggle should visit the xiaomi thread on nairaland. They aren't here officially they have dethroned every phone brand... If xiaomi price is affordable now, just wait till they come here officially. |
I don't know the reason behind tecno's decision to stop making the tecno t635. But I need something at same affordable rate with similar specs or better. Any suggestion is appreciated. |

Its infinix. And its specs arent worthy of abandoning the mi max 3 pursuit for. |
If its not mi max 3, its not worth waiting for. |
I have an over scratched card of glo that I have called glo's customer care over a dozen times to help resolved (bear in mind it takes their "I dont care" customer agents 30minutes and more to pick a call, e be like na only 5 people dey attend to nigerians as glo agents) over two months till date, the response is "call back in two hours time, we are upgrading our systems".. Even google no dey take 3months to update their server wey dey carter for over a billion users. Glo isnt only bad in data service these days again they have become worse than a dead goat. Now I know swear dey work. |
The one thing I know about bontel is they are good at increasing the mah figures of their devices while ignoring the actual capacity of the battery. Imagine a 20000mah so called device failing to charge a 4000mah device not even once before shutting down. They may have gotten better now no doubt. But being lied to leaves a bad taste and a constant reminder why nor to take another risk, let alone a 25000 risk. |
Am sure the figure is that high because Nigerians get unfair charges and have their airtime deducted for services neither activated by them nor rendered by the service provider. Hence the need to keep recharging, and the simple reason why the Nigeria economy is a joke in reality. |
This was how glo failed. Seeing all these uneccessary moves and gestures from tecno, itel and infinix shows how one sided these companies think. Nigerians might be in need, this isnt the means to quench the thirst. Make affordable devices not these cheap toys which the only way to sell it is to bribe your way through the hearts of few who are constantly getting fewer. Lets face it, I would rather pay 30k for a device I would enjoy than pay 35k for a device because the company took me to cheap trip and after a month use of the device, I regret my decision. |
uhans for me. Just like you, a friend wanted my advice, but he choose the option of infinix note 4 pro. Less than 2months after, note 4 pro sold and he bought the xiaomi redmi 5 plus. The simple truth is, carl care is a sham employed by the loyalist of itel, tecno and infinix to deceive closed minded people. carl care is run by amateurs, you are better of smashing your device on the floor than going to carl care. Still go for camon cm, so when you sell it or get rid of it because of its mediocre performance for the uhans i8, you will then have a good idea of what to advice people on. wonder why no one who has gone abroad for phone purchase never buy local again? Coming from a doogee y6 max user. |
alade112:Even if that was true, this is how glo data sharing works(or used to work). Mr A is the data owner. Mr B is the data sub receiver. Mr A has 2gig data, shares with Mr B who then receives 1gig. Mr A is idle not using its data. Mr B is active using its data, Mr B exhaust its 1gig. Mr B gets a notification that its shared subscription with Mr A is expired. There is no way Mr B can exhaust its allocated data then move over to Mr A. But Mr A can exhaust its shared data and move to the data it initially shared with Mr B and exhaust it, because Mr A is the owner of the data and at such, has an unlimited access to its data subscription. Op do you have any data reader on your device to check if your data was used by an app unknowingly to you? |
encryptjay:Explains a lot. So sorry to hear sir, you back now right? |
encryptjay:Good evening sir. Been too long. |
Meanwhile people are dying in the hands of some individuals and government cant even identify the treat level let alone copple the murder rate. A country with a government handicapped to secure the lives and property of her citizens, any sane person is expecting the same government to booster or implement facilities to create enabling evironment for mobile phones production? Who no fit keep you safe na buying you beans and bread dey important to you? |
This is going to sound awkward. But tecno is for the rich and careless spenders. Anyone who actually works for their every kobo, knows a value for money product to spend on. And tecno doesnt appear even if the list was tabled down to the top 10. |
The thing be say, the problem Nigeria get big pass the country. Glo with bad internet provision since it was established, are still here even with NCC fines, nothing changes. Yet glo is supposed to be Nigeria made. If a homemade service is not even up to the standard of the weakest foreign service, but you go see people coming to tell you to be patriotic when their toothpick is imported... Well... |
Report them to ncc |
I dont know why. But the name 'INNJOO' frightens me. Maybe its the double 'O' or the 'I' coming before the 'N'... But something scares me. For 1000naira, I wont buy an innjoo device. |
jesse8048:Just search ncc on google, the query that has the nigeria communication link, open and click subscribers or consumers option. Its written in bold, follow the directives afterwards. |
This may seem like a light matter. But am losing valued money to a service provider whom is not only a foreign company but the service is not being rendered. On the 21st of October this year, i recharged 200naira and only used 50naira, 25naira X 2 for night browsing. I don't make or receive calls with the line, I usually turned it off after browsing with it. Planning to subscribed with the line this morning, I noticed my 150naira has been deducted. I called airtel customer care 3 times, and twice my call was dropped when i asked to know why 150naira had developed wings and flew. On noticing the calls being dropped, the third time, I got angry at the receiving call agent, and the call was no longer dropped. It was then i was told the entire 150naira was deducted for a caller tune. 100naira for the tune and 50naira to download it. I was shocked, because just 2 months ago I was charged the last 100naira on another airtel line for caller tune. Seems the tune services are not only being activated automatically by Airtel customer care agents or anyone benefiting from looting subscribers recharges, but the cost of the tune seem to vary according to the total of balance left on the line. A relative was charged 50naira for caller tune and 25naira for strange service then 20naira for another alien subscription, and she had 95naira on her line. The ridiculous part was, she barely used the line. I have reported this unfair charges to NCC, and am urging every Nigerian to do the same whenever they are charged for services not rendered or they didn't by any means request for it, intentional or otherwise. I know it seem like a waste of time, but know this. When you scream for long, you either lose your voice or gain attention. Let's not stay in silence, we cannot continue to enrich people who devalue our economy and treat our rights without respect. Report every undue charges to NCC, and someday soon, these network providers will either treat Nigerians as humans or become 11mobile or whatever figure is left on the chart. Blessed morning to you. |
The only item I buy from jumia na item wey Aliexpress no get. Na only jumia you go see 50kmah power bank wey be 4000mah battery in reality. You complain, tomorrow the same product still dey jumia. Jumia no serious for business. When them ready, we go know. By the way, sorry sir poster. This incident can happen even if you order from AliExpress. But like you said, na communication na im matter. If Ali seller no answer you, customer support go remove them from store. |
Tecno and infinix the only device everybody on nairaland dey buy but nobody dey use.... Hehehehe.. See as buyers of spark full this thread yet tecno never sell 10pcs since the launch of the spark plug abi na engine pump... Make una continue.. Spectators are here. |
lexrichy:To be honest, I have no reason to want to root it. My only anticipation is whether or not it will get updated to 7.0. You can search for doogee forum online for rooting process. But you need to unlock the bootloader from developer mode to be able to root. Make sure you have the necessary should it get soft bricked. Good luck. |
pricerhub:So far, so good. Way, way, affordable when compared to locally bought phones here. |
I bought doogee y6 max. Will keep going for phones overseas because the local ones we have are too expensive for me.
|
It is only important if you can search for contacts on WhatsApp, but you can't. So this badge move is as useless as buying infinix note 4 pro because of xpen. |
vellie:Okay. So what you are saying is, if your phone is flash charging and heating up. Its bad, which means buying phones from tecno, infinix or any brand that can't give fast charge without heating is bad? Dont get me wrong. What am trying to find out from you is what is bad. Is fast charge bad because it charges battery fast? Or is fast charge bad only if it makes your battery hot? Or fast charge is bad because it does both? |
vellie:Fast charge dey spoil battery with time? When you say "with time" you mean a phones battery lasts longer if it charges slower? |
Since you got blocked on their Facebook page. Then it's a deliberate act from the Airtel top officials to the local manager in the shop. Please post this on Facebook with picture evidence. Drop your Facebook ID so we here can also share and spread the post of this inhumane and scammer-behaviour from Airtel, even if you don't get your money or data back, these network providers will know Nigerians are not foolish blacks. |
taiwo4love:No cheap sh*t |
Who use infinix note 3 for London? |
They should stop their data services. They can't eat their cake and have it. |
