PoliticsRe: Why Not Ojukwu's Face On The N5000 Proposed Note? by ZeusI: 12:50am On Aug 28, 2012
girl king: Ojukwu on NAIRA notes! I laugh in chapters, my aunt lost her 12 sons to d stupid war he started, If anything should be on naira notes I think it it should be crude oil, d heart of the nations finance
Nincompoop like you, who started the war? those who massacred the Igbos in the north and were still chasing them into their very enclave(eastern region) for more blood, or those who defended themselves against the multilateral military attacks from sea, air and land? Barbarian lunatic! Go and grab a history book. Oloshi!!

God forbids that Ojukwu's face should be placed on Nigerian inflation-infested currency. angry

Paul John: If I may ask, what's the special thing these women have done for Nigeria?
Cause I think it's only Heroes and Heroine faces that are put on any currency

Heroine
Definition
1. A woman admired or idealized for her courage or noble qualities
2. A woman noted for special achievement in a particular field.
3. The principal female character in a novel, poem, or dramatic presentation.

From the definition of Heroine, does any of these women have any of the characteristics? shocked
Those faces were put there to delude Nigerian women(especially naive ones) into thinking that govt empowers them and therefore set the brainless masses(both genders, strategically) into a muddled state, making them(the masses) less scrupulous in scrutinizing their swindling techniques, and we are falling for it already. Setting yorubas against Igbos, Hausas against their minorities(like in jos and kaduna states) et cetera. Is that not what is happening to us down-here in NL? While the old gods(the politicians) go on laughing at our folly and feasting at our expense.

Temistatics 007: My God,just because of money.
Na wa o,later they'll say we are all Nigerians, how can one tribe be putting the integrity of the nation in jeopardy.how can they be attended to when the FGN can't even solve their internal problems yet,i hope they don't rot in those jails o
Do you know that Nigeria is blessed so much with human resources? Good. Now, the most terrible enemy one can have is a man skillfully trained to perpetrate evil for the owner, chase him out - sack him - deny him what you made him depend on, and he will be your greatest nightmares. So was Osama to American Govt. Today, the energy burning in the heart of Nigerians to perform and achieve great things for their country is being trampled upon on daily basis - transformed inadvertently to yield nagative results, and what do they do? They, out of frustration and neglect turns to terrorism, banditery, prostitution, fraud, drug-trafficking, thuggery and armed robbery for solace - means of survival. Who is to be blame? The king who seized all for himself with legal right and immunity to back him up? Or the subjects who rummages and ransacks every other available avenue to save dear life? God help us.

aishatua1: [b]More than 6, 000 Nigerian Citizens jailed Abroad for drug trafficking Offenses' - NDLEA

Not more than 6,000 Nigerians are serving various jail terms for drug-related offences abroad, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has said. According to the NDLEA, Nigeria is the only African country with such a frightening figure.

The agency said that the figure may be higher as the available data could not be said to be totally exhaustive. NDLEA Director General, Mr. Femi Ajayi, told the House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora Matters that Iran has 4,000 inmates, Brazil 500, Thailand 500 and Malaysia 300.

He said: "The bulk of those caught for drug-related offences outside the country were from the South-East with majority coming from Anambra State. "I do not know what we can do to the upsurge of our brothers from the South East-who indulges in this kind of business.

Can you believe that of the 500 Nigerians in Thailand prisons, 480 of them are from the South-East and 450 from the figure are from Anambra State".

Ajayi, however, decried lack of adequate funding of the agency's activities, adding that the development has had negative impact on its ability to fight drug trafficking

That shows how bad un-employment, and self-centeredness of Nigerian Govt and their officials has affected its citizens. Every reasonable/rational human wants to earn a living and you(govt) made a beast out of them and it will continue to haunt you(by their tarnishing your image).
RomanceRe: Success Or Love, Which Is More Important?. by ZeusI: 10:00pm On Aug 27, 2012
richarts: NB: Success here is financial & career accomplishments.

In the light of my quest and thirsts... Of my groanings and yearnings for success and then for the knowledge of what makes success when all my effort at attaining it couldnt bring the desired results. In the light of my struggle to achieve that which had been laid in my heart... In my hands. This known only through my inner man. In the light of my hardwork, sleepless nights, deep-rooted thoughts and information seeking about success, success still felt like a fairy tale.

They say ''if you pee on one spot it would smell'' but the fear of peeing on one spot, faithfully hoping, yet doubtedly threatened by the momentarily ''lack-situation'' talk more of my human error of being scared of the future made me to discard the saying. Chris Angel said: ''There is no key to success except that you dream, you have a passion and you believe in yourself'' but it still looked to me like the former, I wasnt convinced.

My thirst for fulfillment continues. It sickens me, it dehydrates me, exhausts me and sometimes makes me feel helpless.

I resorted to trying all sorts. Ofcourse I am trying all sorts... From music, to writing, to amateur consulting to this and that. I am trying all sorts. Sometimes the world feels incredibly silent when im alone, revelling the moment when success would come my way or rather when I would come the way of success. This thoughts exhausts me and it only seem the more to me like succes is deaf to certain people.

I am scared of the future yet I am unaware of tomorrow but they say the future is now and so I would say I am taunted by my present. I envy the succesful positively attimes or did nature just brought it their way I asked... I wondered.

I have lots to say. I want to talk about my personality, about my uniqueness, about my perspective but I dont want to bore you. Not that I care but because I feel like sharing my thoughts to just one ''entity''... An ''entity''?... One ''person'' in the world who means much more to me than anything. That one ''personality'' is love.

I realized that it conquers all this feeling. It lives, it breathes, it does not die and is free from hate, threats, intimidation, failure and others. I realized that what I crave mostly for is love. It is the only true existence that completes my being... That completes a man not success.

Love, I want you. This is the very same thought that occupy the last scene in my head whenever im so enveloped with the movie or fantasies or plans of getting succesful.

One thing I concluded; ''Love is the greatest thing that can happen to any man''.

Richarts.
Hmmgh-hmgh! I have something to say. Firstly, i once heard that: 'if you want people to naively sign your document without much fuss, you should make it lengthy'. Secondly, some people tends to still believe that deception can easily be imposed on the masses[Nigerian masses actually]. Thirdly, when Jesus Christ preached love, he examlified love by not engaging himself with anything money(success), to make that message of love to sink deeper. Now what is your occupation? As for me i choose Success over Love. Reason: there is no more Love in existence.
Foreign AffairsRe: 17 People Beheaded In Afghanistan For Attending A Party by ZeusI: 9:38pm On Aug 27, 2012
maclatunji: You must have lost something. You're very deluded, there's no such ruling. Corrupt officials cannot be killed for corruption and certainly no one is to be killed for attending a party. A Muslim is not allowed to take justice into his own hands, the state does all prosecution and sentencing. Even then, the rules have to be CORRECTLY applied.
The rule here, young man, is Quranic. And who makes up the states, Is it not men? And if the state fell short of their divinely assigned duty, the people; who constitute the state should administer justice. If quran says no partying(owambe and awere) for muslims; it stands! Islam is INDEED a peaceful religion. Stone to death, any who commits fornication or adultry; cut off the hand of anyone involved in theft; whip those who stares at women; every female must cover self entirely to avoid lecherous stare from men; and men should keep[goatie?] beard. Do muslims obey these and other allah inspired rules? I wonder. If they are caught in such act to face the law, they begin to seek aid from women right groups or human right organisations. Chameleons!
Foreign AffairsRe: 17 People Beheaded In Afghanistan For Attending A Party by ZeusI: 9:11pm On Aug 27, 2012
Sweet Islam for real! That should be done in Nigeria too; backed legally by our constitution, for all muslims. I didn't think mohammed(pbuh) went to party, which is why muslims shouldn't. allahu ak'bar!

Wow, the yorubas has proven how respectful they are to their tradition. I came across a post which read: Yorubas are the most refined tribe in Nigeria. And they just showed their observance of 'lawful due process' in dispensing justice. Kudos* applauds*

saxywale: don't you just love the Yorubas. Standing up for good governance.
So because you chased away a commoner with a title made you feel elated as a tribe, coward-soldiers should as well boast of capturing a fugitive colleague without a rifle. Chase out OBJ, and his minions residing in yoruba land; then shall we know that you did something worth applauding.

Now, please how best would you advise such a person..? Thanks.
She is in dire need of a psychologist. Ask her what her ambition in life is, and let her know that academic acheivement does not totally define success in life, in fact, in this new era, Matriculation doesn't guarantee any progress, because what they teach is illusionery compared to what is actually happening in real life. Which is why graduates are dazed by the fatal blow that Labour Market and outside campus inflicts on men.

ACM10: But when it comes to the issue of Ojukwu, you will compose a lengthy epistle telling us to discard Ojukwu's account in favour of your "balanced" historian tales. Can you see that you are a hypocrite? You speaks from both sides of your mouth. Endeavour to put this disclaimer after every sermon of yours, "believe at your own risk"
Don't mind them, they are not even ashamed of bringing-up such insignificant issue on this site. Well, i heard the site is owned and controlled by their folks.

Her son's criminal harbouring attitude did(The so called Calacuta Rep). If fela were not engaging in senseless smoking which takes over the better part of him while he insults the authority that leads his country, his mother would not have been visited by any soldier.
PoliticsRe: Who Killed Funmilayo Ransome-kuti (Fela's Mother)? by ZeusI: 1:23pm On Aug 27, 2012
blasterman: To all fela haters At least after fela death there has been worldwide recreation of his life, mention 1 Nigerian who has been accorded that kind of privilege . I Dare U 2 Mention One.
Nonsense! World-wide recreation? Any man who introduces evil must have his works recreated, don't you think? Marijuana smoking and pornographic shows, were all he introduced. Speaking against tyranny while preaching corruption, is that what he accomplished? Let him and his descendants continue receiving world-wide recreation, and you should join them too. Shameless lots. Fella was the cause of his mothers death. A man harbouring criminals in his so called Calacuta Villa has now become a hero. Mtcheeew.

Katsumoto: An old lady in her 70's was thrown out of the second floor of a building. She would die months later; you don't need a doctor to tell you she died from her wounds, both physical and mental.

Danjuma gave the orders to the soldiers but OBJ is equally culpable because he was Danjuma's military boss and the president at the time.
Is that how you imagine? A seventy years old thrown out of the first floor of a building and she still lives? A seventy years old beating-up by Nigerian soldiers and she lived? Do you even realise that there is a great difference between been thrown out and jumping out from a high place? She died because her time has come!

CultureRe: Do You Believe In These Superstitions? by ZeusI: 10:33pm On Aug 26, 2012
cuteonyii: Hey guys, i'm not trying to offend any body here. But sometimes my friends finds it annoying when I tell them that I do not believe in the following.

1. That someone can make me appear on a mirror and cast a spell on me.
2. That someone can tie my destiny with my picture taken to some where.
3. That I can get ill when i walk over something buried under the earth or in front of my door.
4. That someone can changed baby in the womb to something else e.g stone, tortoise, etc.
5. That dead people can come out and hunt me.
6. I can see ghost.
7. That someone can get shot at and the bullet will not get into the body.
8. That Ritual will make money fill in your room.

Is not because of religion but just they way I grew up. I was born and raised in Africa for over 30 year i'm yet to get any prove for those stuff. I strongly believe in magics and poison, but when it comes to voodoo I do not believe in that.
I have actually seen people break, chew and swallow bottle when i was in Aba. But I call those stuffs magics because thats the only thing they could do all the time. I think we Africans call most things voodoo simply because we do not have explanations to them.
What do you believe??
Dude, there are so many place to experiment those. Say, getting yourself a day imployment in one mortuary for a night shift or travel to agulu-eri and challenge their herbalists or better still visit Aro-ndi-izogu and demand to shoot any man who presents self, if he lives, you will give him #100,000.00. That is how discovery is made.

Christianity EtcRe: Praying For Your Enemies To Die, Is It Right Or Wrong? by ZeusI: 8:03pm On Aug 26, 2012
Ayomivic: Many todays christians are going to church becaous they want to receive back their lost glory. Some believed that enemies are behind their problems and they are ready to do any thing to defeat and claim back their glory even if it will cause the life of their enemy or enemies. So, my quesion is as a christian is it good to ask for one enemy's life for you to enjoy your life? To me is very bad, the reason is that, you can not find this attitudes in the life of Jesus or the lives of early christians.
My prayer(and so should a true christian's be) is for my foes to live long, yet, powerless to undermine my acheivement, to live in perpetual self-affliction. Why should he die? Any who pray for their(enemies) physical demise(instead of their spiritual death; toothless) of his enemy is a church goer not a christian.
