The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Tuesday said that 54 per cent of Nigerian youths were unemployed in 2012. This was contained in the “2012 National Baseline Youth Survey Report’’ issued in Abuja by the NBS in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Youths Development. “More than half, about 54 per cent of youth population were unemployed. “Of this, females stood at 51.9 per cent compared to their male counterpart with 48.1 per cent were unemployed,’’ the report said. It said out of 46,836 youths recorded against different types of crimes, 42,071, representing 75.5 per cent were males, while the remaining 24.5 per cent were females. “Among the 32 different crimes committed, Marijuana (Indian hemp) smoking has the highest figure, representing 15.7 per cent. “This was followed by theft and murder with 8.1 and 7.4 per cent, respectively. The least committed crime was Immigration/Emigration representing 0.04 per cent.’’ The report said more than five million youths indicated they were involved in conflict resolution at one level of governance or the other. “But the response of the youths shows that most of them are involved in conflict prevention at the community level representing 64.9 per cent, while 30.9 per cent are involved at the ward level. “Only 1.6 per cent are involved at the state level, while 83.9 per cent males are involved in football than females with 16.1 per cent. “This is also obtainable in boxing, swimming, wrestling and tennis, however, a higher proportion of females, representing 81.1 per cent, are involved in volley ball than males with 18.9 per cent. “In Hockey, 59.3 per cent females and 40.7 per cent males are involved, while 74 per cent females and 26 per cent males are involved in Track and Field events.’’ According to the survey, the population of youths aged between 15 and 35 years in Nigeria is estimated to be 64 million, while females are more than males in all age groups. The report said Lagos State had the highest percentage of youths in Nigeria with 6.1 per cent, followed by Kano state representing 5.7 per cent, while Bayelsa State had the lowest with1.3 per cent. “Out of the group of married youths, 68 per cent were females, while 32 per cent were males, the rate of divorce and widowhood was high among the female youths with 70.9 and 71.8 per cent, respectively while 38.5 per cent females were never married.’’ The report said the objective of the study was to provide useful data for the design and development of youth-focused programmes by the Federal Ministry of Youths Development and other partners in the country. The study was aimed at generating empirical data to inform policy decisions and guide their implementation. It was also aimed at providing government and other stakeholders with useful data that would assist in the development of young people’s employability to ensure their successful transition to the labour market. Kano, Dec. 5, 2013 (NAN) The Kano State Government says it has sponsored 450 students to study various degree programmes in three private universities in the country. Gov. Rabi’u Kwankwaso said this when he addressed the beneficiaries at the Government House, Kano, on Thursday. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 250 students would study in Igbinedion University, Edo, while 100 students each would go to Bells University, Otta, and Crescent University in Abeokuta, respectively. ‘’This is an opportunity for you, most of whom are the children of the less-privileged’’, the governor told the students. He urged them to be good ambassadors of the state in particular and the country in general. ‘’We will monitor your conduct and academic performance at all times because your success is our success. ‘’I will also like to assure our people that our administration will continue to live up to its expectation by investing heavenly towards the expansion, rehabilitation and provision of infrastructure in our educational institutions. ‘’This is necessary in order to create an enabling environment needed by the youth and good people of Kano State to pursue and realise their potentials.’’ Kwankaso said the state government would spend about N1 million on each of the 450 students, annually. He said the state government would establish a special college for the study of Chinese language in Panshekara, Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state. |

1) Call her at least once a day, just to talk, say hi, or get to know each other better. No one ever wants to be forgotten throughout the day. If for some reason, you can't call her, at least send a text message or email telling her that you care. 2) Listen to her attentively when she talks. There is an art to deep listening. It's more than just hearing her voice. You have to know what she is saying and understand that she is trusting you with what she says. 3) Take note of her likes and dislikes. You want to make her happy, and giving her her favorite flowers is a lot better than her least favorite candy. Keep in mind what she enjoys. 4) Compliment her honestly as often as possible. If it's not sincere, it's not worth anything. Women appreciate it if you comment positively on their appearance from time to time. 5) Buy her flowers sometimes. It doesn't have to be all the time, and it doesn't always have to be two dozen roses. While red roses are popular, they are also very cliche. Try to be original. Remember, it is the thought that counts. A casual bouquet of flowers picked from a park or lawn on the way to her house lets her know that you are thinking about her. Try some bright colors, such as yellow, orange, and pink. 6) Take her to dinner. You don't always have to take her to a 5 star restaurant. Just go out to a place where you are both comfortable. Also, remember to cover the bill, but if she insists upon paying, let her pay the tip. 7) Be affectionate but not aggressive. You don't want to come off the wrong way. Make sure she is comfortable. Her needs should always come before your own. Do some things you like to do (baseball game, biking, etc.), and do some things she likes to do (see a movie, go shopping on occasion). You want to attain a happy medium between the two. 9) Buy her things that are meaningful and that she will enjoy. The gift does not have to be very expensive, as it is the thought that counts. 10) Be sure to spend quality time together. Schedule outings together like going to a movie, out to dinner, or just going to each others' houses to spend time together My 11th commandment: Don't have sex, kiss and romance her till you take her down the aisle.Drop ur comment |

NYSC is a place where majority of the brethren look forward to getting life partners. They see it as a last resort and they prepare their mind before going to the camp to get a partner at all cost, they pray seriously about it and hit the camp with great expectations.I am not saying you can’t meet your partner thereo. You can if GOD has ordained it. Some unbelievers pretend to be born-again at the camp so as to pick a fire-branded brother or sister uhmn-uhmn.Even engaged and married people pretend as if they were unattached in the camp. Some ladies whose lives are already messed up disguise to be saints when they get there.God will catch those ones and deliver us from them.Get to know the person you want to marry very well. Know if you are really meant for each other bearing in mind your past.If you discover you can’t leave with each other’s past you had better think twice. A BROKEN RELATIONSHIP IS STILL A LESSER EVIL THAN DIVOURCE O. |

If all guys don't have handsome faces, then don't expect all girls to have pretty faces. If all guys don't have muscles, then don't expect all girls to have thin bodies. If all guys can't have big dicks, then don't expect all girls to have big boobs or big asses. If all guys can't be respectful gentlemen, then don't expect all girls to be classy ladies. If all guys can't take a girl out to a nice dinner, then don't expect all girls to know how to cook you a nice meal. If all guys can't be nice, then don't expect all girls to be kind. If all guys can't stick with one girl, then don't expect all girls to not get bored with one guy. If all guys aren't able to get girls anything they want, then don't expect all girls to spoil guys with everything they want. If all guys can't be perfect, then don't expect all girls to be flawless. If all guys aren't able to stay in love, then don't expect all girls to be able to love, period. Your comments? |
I am not going to write as if I have never had challenges in relationship or as if I have the blanket Formula for all relationships. No, I am writing out of deep understanding and inspiration through the help of God. Have you ever wondered, that everything that your ex(s) said about you; that you are or that you are not, are direct opposite of what God had called you personally. Your ex(s) said you aint, attractive, enterprising, intelligence, caring, charismatic, knowledgeable, valuable. When your maker has called you wonderfully made, blessed, beloved, knowledgeable than your teachers, chosen people and so on. You allowed the words of mortal; that doesn't see beyond his or her nose to actually condemned you. You now see everything wrong in yourself and you continue looking at your future and relationship through the lenses that your ex(s) borrowed you. See, let me be honest with you. You are a skyscraper project. But the challenge is, you are still at the ground floor, first or second floor level in reality because you did not give room for growth in your life. The heavenly contractor are ever ready with all the needed materials to build you into the proposed enviable skyscraper, but you are never available. Instead, you give your time, energy, love And heart, to someone who has nothing meaningful and valuable to add to you other than clay. The only thing his or her eyes is meant for; is to see faults in you. Lamentably enough, that is the kind of person you spent time with. On the other hand, let reason it together. Is your ex(s) totally wrong in what he concluded about you? Honestly, No; because he or she is even wrong to be in your life when he was. When you allow the wrong person into your life, he or she will say wrong things about you. Consequently, He or she will be right, while you will be wrong because you have started with a wrong step by choosing him or her in the first place. See, you are meant to be a skyscraper. A bungalow can't accommodate the kind of people that is meant to enter a skyscraper. Skyscrapers are usually executive structure but no one will attach any importance to it when it is at the foundation or 1st floor level; that is your problem. In fact, the right set of people can't come into your life until you are completed. So, you are the only one that can allow God to be true and let your ex(s) or any other person be a liar by submitting yourself for building. I know you are better than whatever those that left you, tagged you, because God is still working on you. |
I have come across some guys, they are so spiritual that they have nothing or little knowledge about ladies. They will always bother me with questions about wooing a lady. Some will pray and fast when what they want is near them. Many ladies get angry because these brothers have been so serious that they couldn't decode just a little sign from them. Read this piece with passion as i show the things to notice in that sister, whenever you are around... Here are seven signs she is interested in you; (1) You catch her staring at you often. Does she steal glances at you now and then? And every time you look at her, does she blush and look away? If a girl can’t stop staring at you, especially when you’re busy or occupied with something else, it’s a good sign to show that she has something romantic in mind when it comes to your thoughts. (2) She seems to take extra special care of her looks when you’re around. If a girl takes out time to look extra pretty because of you, then it’s very likely that she has feelings for you. If you notice her constantly adjusting her hair or fidgeting with her clothes, then she might be thinking of having you for more than just a friend. (3) Her friends seem excited. She seems nervous. One of the easiest ways to find out if a girl likes you is by watching her behaviour when she’s with her friends. Do you see her friends smiling mischievously at her and at each other while she looks shy and uncomfortable? Then it’s very likely she’s into you. (4) She wants to know your relationship status. If a girl wants to be your girlfriend, she’ll find a way to ask if you’re single or taken. She might do this under the guise of asking about past relationships and try to make it a general conversation but most of the time, a girl who wants to know if you’re available or not is most likely doing it for her own personal reasons. (5) She makes sure you know that she’s single and available. She might not scream it from the rooftop but she’ll find a way to let you know that she doesn’t have a man in her life. (6) She always wants to be with you. If a girl likes you, she’ll find a way to always have you around. She might arrange to be somewhere because she knew you’d be there or she’ll find one excuse or the other to hang out with you. She’ll also want to talk to you often either via chatting or phone calls or texts. (7) She gets jealous when you ignore her. Does this girl get annoyed when you talk a lot to some other girl? Does she pass a funny remark or pull your leg saying you’re attracted to the other girl just because you had a friendly conversation with that girl? She may be jealous on the inside and this may point to the fact that she likes you. Of course, individually, some of these factors might not mean a girl likes you but if she’s exhibiting many or even all of these signs, then it’s very likely that she wants you to be her man so go for it! |
A boy is attracted to girls. A man is attracted to women. Now, this has nothing to do with the actual age of a person. I’m referring to maturity, life vision and stage of life. In fact, some people regardless of their age, will never really grow up. Also, this isn’t to say that a woman won’t ever have “girlish” or immature tendencies or vice versa. This post refers to one’s maturity and most points would also apply if you switch the genders as well. If you are a boy, then expect that you will attract only girls. However, if you are a man (independent, knows your worth and value, has a strong moral compass, is considerate and an able communicator and doesn’t let insecurity dominate your psyche), then you should be dating a woman. And if you can’t spot the difference just yet, here are some pointers: 1. A girl throws tantrums. When displeased, upset or angry, she reacts just as she did as a child when she didn’t get her way with her parents. This often consists of screaming, pouting, giving the silent treatment, being passive, aggressive and/or punishing. A woman still feels the emotions of being upset/displeased, but has cultivated the skill of responding versus reacting. She comes to the table as an adult, and communicates clearly what is bothering her. 2. A girl perceives herself as a princess and believes people should treat her like so. She is entitled and feels that she is owed and therefore expects more than she appreciates. A woman, has standards (what she holds herself to) not expectations (what she projects on to others). 3. A girl uses her physical beauty as her currency and basis of value. A girl may be so used to feeling validated through her looks and se*uality, that she uses this as her primary tool to get what she wants in life. A woman, knows her worth is beyond her physicality. A woman bases her value on her intelligence, her strength, her integrity, her values, her contributions, her humanity. 4. A girl banks on a man to be her financial strategy. A woman plans to be financially independent — she banks on… herself. And if she so happens to enter a relationship dynamic where it makes sense for her partner to be the primary breadwinner, it’s considered a bonus, not the expected life line. 5. A girl sees the world from a place of lack and scarcity. She competes and will even tear down another in order to secure resources or a mate. A woman helps other women. She knows that there’s plenty enough to go around and takes the high road of integrity to get what she wants. 6. A girl cannot be bothered with anything domestic and is proud of the fact that she cannot cook or clean. A woman understands that being domestic is not a duty, but understands that it is one way of taking care of herself and others. She also understands that in the event she wants to create a family, having a person in the household who can contribute domestically is important. 7. “A girl wants attention, a woman wants respect. A girl wants to be adored by many. A woman wants to be adored by one.” -anonymous 8. A girl does not respect her body. She has not yet understood that her body and heart are sacred, and that it’s important to be mindful of how she treats it and who she shares it with. 9. A woman takes the time to reflect on the type of human she wants to be, the example she wants to leave and the vision for her life. She has put thought into her values and what she stands for. A girl has not established her moral compass or values and consequently, is often inconsistent. 10. A girl has a checklist that prioritizes superficial qualities above anything else. Here is an example of how this checklist may look: Hot, popular, wears skinny jeans, over six feet tall, rich.. This is the checklist of what a woman may look for: High integrity, intelligent, kind, good communicator, emotionally available… Now, a lot of these differences require taking the time to know someone to figure out if the apple of your eye is indeed a mature woman, or someone with an immature mindset. However, one of the quickest filters that you can notice from the beginning is this: 11. A girl plays games. A woman doesn’t |
