The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), today, announced the suspension of its over 5months strike.
ASUU President, Dr. Nasir Fagge made the disclosure in Minna while briefing newsmen.
The Union suspended the strike after a marathon National Executive Committee meeting held in the Niger State capital, yesterday.
The different chapters of ASUU are expected to hold congress meetings on Wednesday, following which academic activities will resume in the universities.
The marathon NEC meeting was held to deliberate over the agreement signed Wednesday, last week, by the union executives and the federal government.

The meeting, Vanguard gathered was attended by ASUU branch chairmen and secretaries, the national executive members of the Union, coordinators and past leaders, including members from 52 universities.

Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State and former National Security Adviser Andrew Owoye Azazi apparently died in a helicopter that crashed todayin Bayelsa State, a reliable source has told SaharaReporters.
Governor Yakowa and Mr. Azazi, a retired military general who served as chief security adviser to PresidentGoodluck Jonathan, were among passengers in the ill-fated helicopter.
Nigeria's National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA)had earlier indicated that the agency had activated a search for a crashed helicopter.
Our sources had earlier disclosed that the crashed chopper was carrying “some major political figures.” As at the time of going to press, Saharareporters was unable to confirm the identity of any other passengers in the ill-fated chopper.
Governor Yakowa and Mr. Azazi were among many political figures who reportedly attended the burial of the father of senior presidential aide Oronto Douglas. The funeral event took place in the Nembe areaof Bayelsa State earlier today. SaharaReporters learnt that the crashed helicopter was one of several helicopters that some well-connected people to the funeral.
The crash comes on the heels of a plane crash on October 25, 2012 that has left Governor Danbaba Suntaiof Taraba State brain-damaged. Mr. Suntai was moved to a hospital in Germany where he remains inpoor shape, unable to recognize his visitors or to speak. Culled from sahara reporters

koseepaaro: You advised the OP to go for computer science, did you take your time to ask OP one or two questions in order to know which one will be best for (base on his/her answer(s) to your question(s))him/her. OP, my advice for you is that you should try to ask people that studied the two courses around you there. Then, make your choice base on the indept info that the two of them would give you. As in, exactly what and what that you are going to be taught if you go for either of the two courses. That's my little cent to you.
