Kog45: Yes you are right but i can tell you between 2010 to 2014,Ejide has lost it even Aiyenugba that was not getting the call again still active even till today.
My man it reached a point Ejide and Aiyenugba doesn't have anything to offer again, hope you know that Spain later find themselves in the same scenario with Iker casillas,Pepe Reina and Victor Valdes but De Gea came into the rescue cos they already positioned him to take over. I disagree, between 2010 to 2014, Ejide was still one of our very best, the most suitable deputy for enyeama, the other younger goal keepers refuse to step up their game. Vanzekin was suppose to break into the SE, but it never happened. These three goal keepers, Enyeama, Ejide and Aiyenugba did not drop from the moon, they were home grown they were all at one time in goal at caf champions league final for their clubs. |

Kog45: Yes you don't just pick a talented one and forget about emerging ones but sir have you asked yourself why Cameroon always have pool of good keepers to pick from,it's simple they always pay more attention to special ones among their emerging keepers not that they pick one and forget about others,no is not done that way.
In the 80s we have Emma Okala, Best Ogedegbe understudied by Peter Rufai and Patrick Okala, later ,Okoye,Remi Oguns,Lateef Yusuf,Raymond Besr and later we saw the rise of Wilfred Agbonavbare,Alloy Agu,Christian Obi,Willy Okpara,Angus Ikeji,Emeka Amadj,Lemmy Isah,Andrew Aikhomogbe and Aliyu Muzambilu
In the 90s despite not going to 1991 U17 and U20 WC,we have emerging keepers like Murphy Akanji,Dosu Joseph,Victor Gbenebechie,Leye Akinde,Emma Babayaro,Abiodun Baruwa and Sam Okoye.
In 2000s we have Uche Akubuike,Greg Etafia,Sunday Rotimi,Vincent Enyeama, Austin Ejide, Dele Aiyenugba,Ambrose Vanzekin,Apam Bassey,Chiejoke Arugo monkey.
But availability of Enyeama and too much concentration on Ejide(2002-2015)and Aiyenugba(2002-2012) for so long deputising for Enyeama affected the upcoming ones like Akpeyi,Ezenwa, Ajiboye.
Who could have been heir apparatus to Enyeama is Agbim but too mediocre,Keshi did not do well in this regard. This gave us a serious gap in our goalkeeping department.
Truly Ikeme came into the rescue but health did not let us enjoyed him but just we made a mistake by keep on inviting Ejide and Aiyenugba when we have emerging Keepers in Akpeyi, Ezenwa and Ajiboye cos Enyeama,Ejide and Aiyenugba came out together at the same time.
Honestly you have a point and thegoodjoe also have a point but whom do we blamed if not Nigeria factor, good Amaju led NFF seems to be working. I don't think having enyeama, Ejide and Aiyenugba at the same time was a mistake, they were the best keepers we had at that time, Enyeama needed the competition to be at his best and don't forget they were very young. you can't drop an ejide who some prefer to enyeama at that time for an unknown goal keeper. if we had done such, we would have found ourselves in this present situation in eventuality of enyeama getting injured. |

Icon4s: Well, that coach that prefers to go look for an "experienced" goalie outside knows Uzoho and the team better than you and I. The coach that wanted to give uzoho a chance in the first team also know the team better than you and I. if a coach knows his players better than any one, they will be no need sacking a coach. |

Mickael2: Has Enyeama ever failed to perform in the GWG?
About his long term injury, did he not play a professional match last month? You know some GKs who are second or third choice do not even get to play for 2-3months straight, just ask Ospina but he is still the first choice for Colombia. Gks pick up form easily, just some training sessions and a few practice matches so long as they train weekly enyeama say he has retired from international football, even if he starts playing now, the nff will to constitute a committee that will head to France to beg him to reside his decision which I don't think anyone is ready to do that except maybe you want to volunteer. ospina you talked about did not retire from playing for Columbia, he was still part of the team. |

Did you think I called you a babbler for nothing without having facts to prove it?
With all the substantial evidence against you, you think you can be exonerated from having a thought of being superior to that particular tribe?
I repeat if you think Kayode is my brother because he is YORUBA and you think you are superior to that particular tribe, you are an ignoramus.
I said this and I am saying it that your superiority mentality is concomitant to ignorance.
To save the reputation of 'your people' means what?
Who are 'your people' in this context?
Oh! You have given the answer below.
Which tribe is for eating gbegiri?
Your superiority mentality knows no bound.
