This is what I'm saying. As a striker, I expect him to bring more than goals to the table. Several aspect of his game really needs to be fine tuned. His first touch is still underdeveloped, playing with his back to goal is a big minus, arielly he doesn't win anything and his right foot is quite bad to out it mildly.
The positives to his game are shooting and positioning which are excellent, his passing is decent enough and he's very good from set pieces (corner kicks, Pks). If he can work on his weaknesses he could become a hit, he is young so he can still hit that celine.

playing with his back to goal is a Big minus, that same player positioning is a positive. Pls I don't understand this statement.

Btw Iheanacho does play with his back to goal

I couldn't agree more. Well let's hope that doesn't actually happen but if it does, trust them to say that it's because he is black. For one he isn't going to bench Vardy, English quota system with an English manager. Okazaki is the likeliest of choices, not to forget that Slimani is still around the corner. I think the fact that he didn't fully participate in their preseason tour is going to keep him on the bench for 6-7 weeks of this new season, hopefully he gets going ASAP, thank you Man City

Holding a grudge against a player and trying to pay him back is elementary. If it was a father-son scenario, I will pet my son in the back and accept him. You don't lose anything. It shows maturity. And the bond will be stronger than ever. How about in future he goes on to say Nigeria gave him a chance despite rejecting their overtures initially. And that's one thing he would love Nigeria for. Nigeria as a country that has failed so many sportsmen. For once we can do what is right instead of holding on to our ego.

Why do you feel inviting a 30yrs old man playing championship football who reject an invitation to play for Nigeria in the world cup is the rig decision. We are not trying to pay him back bt the true is that we don't need him except he's a goalkeeper that can help us out.

I'm not trashing anybody but, I mean virtually everyone on this forum have been trashing Akpeyi for throwing the SA match, but none can really prove that his specific error(s) lead to the goals.
We have heard Rohr and Shorunmu come out and absolved him of blame for that 2nd goal but it appears our minds have been made up.

Sometimes I wonder if the guy is less Nigerian than everybody in that team.

watch the game again, Moses was shielding the ball from 2 SA defenders I think, then tapped the ball to Nacho who tapped it to Etebo.

Passing to a target man is easier than trying to play defence splitting passes obviously, it wouldn't have been difficult for them to do
