Go ahead and send it daalade1: The children are 12, 5, and 3 years old. In the SOP I read, she specifically mentioned that since she graduated (2:2) in 2015, she could not further her education because of her kids and since they are grown up now, her husband feels she should go for the program in Canada. I can send you the LOE if you can help with the review |

How old are the children? Did she submit any sop - what does it say? daalade1: No, she applied alone...used her kids and husband as social ties |

Nwannediutor: Good evening guys,
I do not mean to discourage anyone here, but If your eligibility review has been ongoing for weeks and you are yet to receive any update from IRCC, chances are that you have been denied. So far IRCC has not been able to communicate a refusal to all those with pending biometrics ( as at the time of eligibility review).
I applied for study permit on the 17th of June. My eligibility review started on the 17th of July exactly on month later and has been like that up till this moment. However, I applied for my GCMS notes earlier this month and when the notes came in, I discovered that a decision (eligibility review FAILED) was MADE on my application on the 18th of July (a day after eligibility review started.)
BOTTOMLINE: IRCC have only been able to communicate those that scaled through the first stage of review (AIP). Unfortunatlely, those that failed are yet to be communicated. Someone in the sowp thread got passport request in August after applying since January 27. While waiting for your GCMS notes keep the hope alive |

Pee2Jay9: But EE immigrants have been travelling to Canada, is it only students that can have corona? Abi covid is not the problem? The price of their tuition fee is only justified with the travel history and international exposure to be achieved.. They should think straight o cos we'll be spending more studying online, abi they'll share data.. Lol I think permanent residents and citizens are exempt from the travel restrictions and I agree with the belief that they need our tuition fees to keep their economy moving even if it's to allow students study online which is unfair on us and challenging as well |

Urrch: Why will you collect so much money and still want people to study online. They will change their policy again. This people are very clever and smart.
The inconsistencies in their policy is a clear evidence that they are up to something sinister. Their policy hasn't changed. If anything they have made it easier for people whose studies online have already taken up 50% of their study period especially those that started in May. What they are basically saying is that people in such situations can carry on studying online to complete their studies and still be eligible for pgwp. Before now, there was uproar from Indian students who started their studies in May. Its almost September and travel restrictions are still in place. This takes care of those people. For people that will start their online studies this September, they can as well continue to study online till April 2021 and still be eligible for pgwp. With this news, am believing that travel restrictions might not be eased soon |

You can certainly apply for a pgwp after completing a 1 year program but be mindful that it will only be valid for 1 year. However, if you choose to apply for a 1 year program at the start and later go for another 1 year program so that you can be eligible for a 3 year pgwp you will have to apply for another study permit with proof of funds and home tie just like you did before. My opinion - if you can, it is better you apply for a 2 year program and save yourself the stress and uncertainty of applying for another study permit even though the chances of you getting an approval is higher once you are in Canada. Vslayer: Thank you for responding. Firstly, I plan to apply for 1yr PGWP after d studies. Then after d work I can apply for pr.
Secondly, please if I do 1 yr program after that and apply for another one yr program, do I still have to apply for student permit and showing prove of funds like in the first process. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by zill001: 10:32pm On Aug 23, 2020 |
They don't. With one year program there is a slim chance of getting PR. With a 2 year program you have a better chance Vslayer: Please oo.. Does Algonquin College require ielts from Nigerians. Is there anyone doing this program Food and Nutrition Management in that school.
Since it's 1yr program what is the chance of PGWP there. Please help |

You can try putting the money in a fixed deposit or treasury bill and submit the bank advice along with your application. I believe IRCC will accept it as long as the invested funds are in your name and you have access to it. Olashore09: I want to share my position and possibly get advice and opinion. I currently have admission into a college and the classes have started and I opted to start classes online, which I have on 3rs of August. I have not applied to ircc, I am just planning to do that. I have paid 50% of my tuition. I'm stuck with proof of funds. I have a lump sum and I don't want to dump it into my account once. In fact my online head ache is how to go about my pof |

Foski01: If one's first application is unsuccessful, how long before they are eligible to reapply? You can apply immediately. It depends on whether you can put in a stronger application. So, it is best to take your time and ensure you address the issues raised by the VO that led to him denying your previous application. Some people wait to get their GCMS notes in order to understand what they have to do differently. |

I got admission to Centennial College and did not go through any credential evaluation process. However, upon registration, a student is required to provide original copies of all credentials and transcripts from previous schools. I am not sure if different courses have their requirements as mine is a pgc. You can send an email to the admissions office for Africa and ask is such evaluation is required or can be waive. Good luck. Aderin0la: Please house, I’m looking at applying to Centennial College, for Winter 2021. I saw this (screenshot below) while looking at the admission requirement for my program.
Did everyone who applied to centennial college here have their transcript evaluated by WES? Even tho it’s a bachelors degree transcript (2’1)? Is there a way this can be waived? |

Osemigho: Lol @ washing plate. If you know what people are doing to survive in Canada, you Will know that “washing plate” is not a big deal and it is well respected. The most important thing is how and why you are washing plate.
I have not spent up to three years in Canada, but I have been a security officer, warehouse employee, cleaner, kid lunch supervisor, Teaching assistant, food delivery driver, etc. I have done many job you will call odd jobs except wash plate. but, you know what, it does not matter anymore because I have a very good professional job now that acknowledges my education in Nigeria and Canada.
No education can give you automatic ticket to a job(s). To add water to your garri small, after your education, you will hear the phrase “you don’t have Canadian experience” a lot. Many graduates end up doing hustle job because of this. they never planned to do it but they are at least independent and okay.
If you think “hot cake“ program is the solution, ask those that studied oil and gas related course before 2015 but graduated after the industry collapsed. At the end, your knowledge, perseverance and network will prepare you for great opportunities after school not your program.
Will you believe if I tell you several professional jobs will never ask for your certificate after you resume your job, but will fire you immediately if you can’t do the job your claim you can do. This is why experience, knowledge and skills are more important than your program of study. No one cares about your education if you can’t solve a problem. Plate washers are solving one through their service.
All the best. Well said Bro. Plate washing is no big deal. It's just a means to an end for those that know what they want |

Hello people,
I just received a new admission letter from my school deferring my admission to January. Having submitted my application since March, do I need to send the new letter to IRCC or I should just wait to get a final decision before informing them?
Many thanks in advance. |

Frankrobbn1: UBC and Centennial College waives application fees.
It will end in praise Note that if your study permit is denied Centennial will deduct application/administrative fee from the tuition deposit and the remainder is refunded to you |

You are right when you say no two applications are the same. Submitted mine since March. No word up till now.
It will end with a testimony.
@MyRace
Sincerely, you have expressed my thoughts. I wish to share my testimony likewise that I submitted my application June 4th, received request for biometrics on a Saturday about two days after submission and later got a request for medicals on July 1st while still awaiting the VFS in Nigeria to give my biometrics.
Let us know that no two applications are the same just as our faces differ. The commonest thing I observed here is many people often kill themselves in fear of nothing that exist. I belong to the Winners family and certainly, I believed my application will be different and I will return again to share my final testimony.
Personally, I thank God for the journey so far and appreciate every contributors on this forum. I have learned so much and am indeed grateful. I will return soon before the end of the month to inform the house of my successful Visa application.
IT IS MY YEAR OF BREAKING LIMITS[/quote] |
