emeka94: Most stupid resolution the confab has made second only to the incredulous idea of rotation of presidency. Are these people blind or just plain selfish and greedy. Resources is scarce and corruption is thriving more than oil yet you still want to create more states. USA that's as large as what I don't know has only 50 states. By the way Nigerian govt claim to be copying America's style of federal governance. Creation of addition states will only make the center stronger, the states lazier, fragmentation of Nigeria and break up of ethnic groups and families. Of what is the reason behind dis creation of states?!! I can only see selfish reasons and selfish reason and selfish reasons. If 36 isn't working how will 54 work? Give LGAs autonomy, reduce the powers of federal and state govt and create city councils not states. please!!!. City councils will ensure the participation of ordinary men in governance, men that I can see and touch not governors that drive up and down in latest SUVs causing accidents and traffic jam. Tufiakwa. God save Nigeria from this old men and women.
Motion for City councils seconded.

The Federal Government on Thursday said over 71 per cent of federal roads in Nigeria are currently in good condition and are motorable.

It said a total of N1.469tr had been spent on federal roads across the six geopolitical zones in the country since 2011.

The Minister of Works, Mr. Mike Onolememen, stated that from about 5,000km of fair roads in 2011, Nigeria currently has about 25,000km of the 35,000km of federal roads in good and motorable condition.

Onolememen, in a statement from the Federal Ministry of Works, said the present administration inherited federal roads which were generally described as “death traps,” as many road projects were either abandoned or moving at snail speed due to paucity of funds.

According to him, some roads alignments in Nigeria presently, can compete favorably with roads in the developed parts of the world.

He added that throughout the six geo-political zones, travel times had reduced between origins and destinations, cost of vehicle maintenance had drastically reduced, while accidents and carnage on Nigerian roads had dropped due to better pavement design and construction.

Onolememen said economic goods were better distributed through the nation’s arterial roads with better turn-around times that lead to more profits for entrepreneurs.

The minister said the ministry was currently executing 184 contracts across the country, majority of which were inherited by the present administration.

He stated that progress had been made with the rehabilitation, construction and expansion of key arterial projects.

Onolememen outlined some of the challenges faced by his ministry since assumption of duty to include the insurgency in the North-East, excess axle load of trucks beyond acceptable tonnage on highways and indiscriminate cutting across the highways.

Others include burning of tyres on the roads, erection of bumps on roads, destruction of road furniture as well as encroachment on right of ways.

The statement noted that 30 road projects with total length of 1255.1km, worth N275.6bn, had been executed in the North-Central zone.

It said 27 projects with a length of 1287.7km and total cost of N319.1bn were executed in the North-East, while the North-West had 20 projects, 1040.2km long, and worth N157.1m.

The South-East, South-South and South-West, according to the statement, had 45, 32 and 30 road projects executed in the zones respectively.

It noted that with the advent of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme, the government recorded remarkable progress in 2013 on the dualisation of four key arterial roads across the country.

D ff measure might be useful to anyone reading dis and a doctor can attest to it. I av decided to 4get d medical shiii!t and go for some oda help cos all you do is keep spending and bcom a drug addict. But if ur pocket gara gan No p.
D use of alarms hav bn used too ova d years in place drugs so as to help the patient. It is attached to the sleepn wear to detect moist. But if d person too like sleep E myt need some1 to help when d alarm blows. Some drugs have bn prescribed too but dey are of no use cos they'll work for a short period of tym or not work @ all. Patients can increase ADH (anti-diuretic hormone) using desnopresin in pill form or mist form wch is applied into the nostrills. But when dis medication is stopped it relapses at a high rate(75-90%). Inipramine Tab can be used too but result is achieved in < 13% patients. Dere is dis drug for bladder muscle function reduction cant rememba d name very well but it belongs to the butynin family.
Self discipline is d best, dry bed training, urinating intermitently and no caffiene items (even dough i like 3-in1 nescafe ). With dis few measures of mine i hope the Op can realy d message and also make this an health topic because a lot of pple are lvn with the disorder but are keeping it to themselves. Thank U.

I am a victim of the above urinary malfunction. The problem here is called enuresis. This could be as a result of the bladder bn unable to hold water for a long period of tym dereby causing a sensation in urinary tract and the pee is out. Pple stigmatise against it so bad, which is actually wrong. I am 20+ now and i av bn able to tackle dis problem. Its not a disease but a malfunction and can be reduced by less intake of water at the late hours of the day. The person must learn to empty is bladder b4 going to bed to d last drop (just be patient). There is no lasting solution to it as far as am concerned cos it also maybe as a result of surgery done below the belly button. This is few i can say.....but also visit a medical adviser on it so as to help the pple involved (if not the bachelor hiding in shadows). As for me i dont visit doctors anymore, i am my own doctor and i dont administer drugs to myself because any drug claimed to be manufactured for the use is just to scoop your funds(Cant say if u gt a potent charm sha). Well i thank my parents for d monies dey've spent in d past, may i be able to repay them. NB: there are millions of pple living with it across the world, stop d stigma and jux help a friend #shikena. God Bless Seun, Op's, Mod's n Nairalanders. Amin.

Dats ur self opinion..
CelebritiesAn Open Letter To Olamide YBNL by ziziponsche(op): 9:03am On Nov 27, 2013
I came across this open
letter from a fan to baddo Olamide, I had to
share it because I belive this fan speaks the
truth. Read the open letter below:

I am a fan of yours and I have followed your
growth from the days with Id Cabasa and the
Coded Tunes crew, to your days under Toni
Payne’s management. Parting ways with her
was quite risky but I felt it was a move
worth making as you needed a fully
dedicated management to grow your career.
That move paid off and you’re now better off
for it. Pitching your tent with 1805
Entertainment, your immense talent and the
void left by Dagrin’s demise meant only one
thing – A top spot for you! I am glad you fit
in perfectly. A bolder move to start YBNL
Nation and you going ahead to drop your
second album on the YBNL Nation/1805
Entertainment imprint was another risky
move that still paid off. At that point, I knew
the “god of music” was behind you. Though
it wasn’t so surprising to see the street
embrace the album cos of it quality street
wise content, the rate at which the “butties”
accepted you too was alarming. People
preached the YBNL gospel and gladly talked
about how good the album was. Even my
cool friend Barr. Fola Alade became an
advocate of “Razz being the new Cool”, no
thanks to you. But while we where enjoying
Jale, Street Love, Jesu O kola, Stupid Love,
First of All, Ilefo Illuminati amongst other
beautiful songs, dear Olamide, you
unconsciously killed the album! Yes, you
unfortunately killed it by releasing too many
materials not so long after the album
dropped and you shifted our attention off the
album. To make matters worse, some of
these songs were not half as good as the
songs on the album and they also were not
well promoted, Confession, Tonto Dike,
Baddest Nigga That ever liveth, e.t.c.
Needless to say that some were also really
good, cos some of us still have Turn Up and
Durosoke topping our playlists. Baddo, have
you heard of the point of equilibrium? That’s
the point when the law of diminishing return
sets in. It happens to everything and
everyone. In simple terms, it’s the point
where you get to the peak, have nothing to
extra to offer and the drop starts. To some,
the drop might not be deep while to some,
they would never rise to that point again.
Unfortunately, this happens a lot in the
music industry. While we agree that you are
HOT at this moment and the inspiration is
much, brother, please do not wear yourself
out. Ma le ara e ni ere. Truth is when you
saturate the market with too many materials,
we get tired easily, we don’t pay full
attention to them and the songs end up not
getting as much love as they should. Keep
recording, keep saving them in the cloud and
don’t push too many songs within a short
period. Let the fans yearn for more, let us
savour the goodness of some of what you
already have. On a final note, I love the way
your personality is gradually evolving ‘cos
building a brand of yourself should be
beyond your music. I foresee a near future
where corporate brands that want to connect
with the streets would come to you, simply
because you are the link between the streets
and the corporate world. A celebrated grass
to grace story. The true voice of the streets.

PhonesRe: TECNO P3S Discussion Thread by ziziponsche(m): 12:43am On Sep 29, 2013
D truth about all phones in the world is that they have a touch of china in their production, why castigate TECNO. They are just letting us know that other phone companies are only exploiting us with the names e.g: Samsung, Nokia e.t.c. Opening up to the world that fones are not meant to be that expensive especiaLly in developing places like ours. Have you made a review on TECNO products? Juz try doing so and you'll discover that we've juz been scammed all dis while. D only Bleep up with tecno was the way they took off but that spoils nothing (they were only trying to see if such fones will be accepted in Africa too whereas its used in china).
As regards the above subject, I think dis is a step forward for TECNO for they've chosen to soft pedal and also do something small under the android umbrella. I know if it were to be nokia or samsung all you'll do is hail dem, get into stores and purchase the fone even @ high rate. Let us do away with the chinko mindset and embrace this company to stop exploitation. Thank you

Dear Nairalander,
How are you all doing? I hope all is well with you. I just chose to table this matter to the forum and I'll like us to treat it from critical aspect.
So far since we put Mr President on seat(so to say cos we call it 'Democracy'), ruling us in this country I don't think we've gotten anything from the GEJ regime. I see no change in this country and we keep praying, which I know that God will not leave us alone to suffer but intervene someday.
2015 election is knocking @ the Door and I have raised hope for a change in the country. I feel GEJ has not done anything but i can't see any opposition coming out and standing tall against him. Even if there is anybody from any party, the person is still hiding and that will not get us a desired result.
As things are presently, Do you think you can vote for GEJ in 2015 because by now I should have seen a powerful opposition.
Share your opinion.....or is GEJ going to be going in for his 3rd term so easy.
