The CDS appears to be unwilling to admit or is ignorant of the fact that the Nigerian military has been shown to lack sufficient capacity to carry out its Constitutional mandate especially due to corruption and the limited funds available to build capacity. In such circumstances one of the things a nation does is to have defence pacts with other nations who have proven military capacity. Such pacts may or may not include the siting of a military base in either country to the pact. It puts all the capacity available to the bigger entity at the disposal of the lesser party.

So it is never a new thing that we have been learning and relearning how our judiciary have been going against the written laws.

From the submission made in that link by Afe Babalola, for a defamation to criminal in nature it must have caused distortion of public peace and he also said a defendant can hide on the premise that he wrote what he wrote for the benefit of public interest.

Oyetola supporters would appear to be deluded! An Oyetola candidacy's sure to guarantee the heaviest defeat ever suffered by a political party in a Guber in SW. Oyetola's tenure cannot stand that of Adeleke so far. Adeleke has fixed and is fixing the roads using local artisans under the close supervision of professional civil engineers to assure quality. He is paying the workers within available resources. He relates well with the electorate who see him in good light. Oyetola abandoned the Ring Road project started by Chief Bisi Akande and continued by Aregbesola leaving just about the last mile sort of but Oyetola wouldn't touch it for the four fruitless years he spent as Osun State Governor! APC Osun will do well to tell itself the truth!

Wrong! I read and understood every bit of the article. It actually stokes up learned discourse on the matter not insults and hasty conclusion you ended up with in your response. Well, the matter is now in court and its determination will help our criminal law justice system going forward. That is my focus. By the way, legal minds know that it will take an arm and a leg to prove the criminal allegations Dele makes in his book!

Someone said up there that the 2023 elections awakens the Yoruba. This same Tinubu you keep mentioning has never been tribalistic. Tinubu was among or the first governor in Nigeria to appoint different tribes into his cabinet; he appointed Ben Akabueze as a commissioner then; ibos were working in different government parastals in Lagos state.

Ask people living in Amuwo Odofin some years back; ibos do contest for chairmanship election because they are close to being the majority there. Even in Ojo local government. Even when some of us see these posters of ibos contesting for elections in those days we just overlook the scenario and move on with our daily lives.

But things took a turn, when the ibos supported Gbadebo for Lagos state governorship; trying to distort Lagos state political plans. The truth of the matter is; you can participate in the politics of the locales wherever you are; but the moment you start supporting or dictating or coercing your people to vote for the opponent of the preferred locales you are already passing your boundary. Even if you have a preferred candidate in mind don't make it too open to your hosts.

You can see that Obi won Lagos; is it only the ibos working in Lagos that voted for him? Even the Yorubas are tired of APC all because of Buhari. The governorship election took a turn when your people started boasting of unseating Sanwo-olu you sef think am naaaa it doesn't make sense.

Yoruba community in Abia state cannot be declaring openly that they will unseat Otti.
