givedemwotowoto:The house he is building on sand will collapse and it’s rubble will be seen in 2027. His doctors will have a Herculean task ahead to stabilise him after his third place outing on January 16 2027 presidential elections. |
seunowa:There are folks who know how it’s going with our economy but they prefer to look at it through the prism of partisan politics. Quite saddening to see journalists toeing such a line! |
Botragelad:Closure assured. I guess the ICC and South-Africa will issue an arrest warrant for this! Very inhumane behaviour by the folks who abducted and murdered and paraded Louk’s body! |
Nigerians who understand finance know that a vote for Tinubu will deepen and assure the recovery and growth of the Nigerian economy and ultimately make life easier for the typical Nigerian. A vote for Atiku Abubakar or Peter Gregory Obi who say they will deviate from the economic policies of Tinubu that has attracted JP Morgan into the Nigerian economy will take Nigeria back into economic ruin and further worsen the poverty presently ravaging Nigeria. Financial analysts and market experts widely view JPMorgan’s application and N50 billion deposit as a major vote of confidence in the Nigerian economy. While a $38 million capital injection is modest for a global giant of JPMorgan’s scale, the broader economic signaling is highly significant. 1. Validation of Macroeconomic Reforms Financial experts point out that JPMorgan’s decision indicates that international institutional investors are acknowledging the government's aggressive efforts to stabilize the Naira and bolster the country's external reserves. Depositing significant capital directly with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) indicates that Wall Street anticipates long-term macroeconomic stability. 2. A Buck against the "Exit Trend" Over the last few years, several multinationals and international retail lenders have selectively scaled back operations or exited Sub-Saharan Africa due to foreign exchange volatility. JPMorgan doing the exact opposite—deepening its footprint from a passive representative office to an active, licensed onshore merchant bank—sends a strong signal that Nigeria remains an irreplaceable hub for high-value corporate finance. 3. De-Risking Effect for Other Investors JPMorgan is a primary gatekeeper for global capital allocation. A fully operational, Wall Street-backed merchant bank onshore acts as a massive "de-risking" signal for foreign direct investment (FDI). • Global Capital Pipelines: It gives foreign institutional investors greater comfort routing capital into Nigerian infrastructure, energy, and sovereign debt markets. • Easier Offshore Access: Local blue-chip companies will find it easier to plug into global capital markets with a Tier-1 international bank validating the local operational landscape. The Caveat: Real-World Transmission While analysts celebrate this as a psychological and structural win for foreign direct investment, they also emphasize that sustaining this confidence requires deeper changes. For ordinary Nigerians and local industries to feel the impact, these high-level foreign investment inflows must eventually translate into tangible domestic business growth, improved liquidity, and real-economy job creation. One is in the hope that Nigerian journalists will present things in a balanced manner that will help Nigerians make informed decisions about who to vote for in the upcoming presidential elections on 16th January 2026. |

Kalashnikov49:🧐🧐🧐🧐 |
sirray001:Like the young man Gbadebo Chinedu Rhodes-Vivour said the other day "o fi ete sile o npa labalaba"!🤣🤣🤣. Address the real issue as being that General Olusegun Obasanjo and Atiku Abubakar are hugely corrupt. Have you seen where in an Executive Presidency system of government a President passes the buck to his Vice-President! If he says Atiku Abubakar is a thief in his administration then as Executive President he is Chief Thief! |
bennybuhari:General Olusegun Obasanjo thought the because he stopped the teaching of history in Nigerian schools folks won't know about his infamous and corrupt conduct with Atiku Abubakar. Nigerians know. Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala can only say so much in her book on her times as Minister in Nigeria. General Olusegun Obasanjo contributed to making Nigeria the world's poverty capital. Has he accounted for the Obasanjo Presidential Library vast properties in Abeokuta as coming from his legitimate earnings! |
ogugwa1992:Who get money don buy bus buy conductor! Accord must comply accordingly! |
Arobaga:Can folks with a sealed mouth match the results of Wike. On January 16 2027 Wike will shock you and the sealed mouth gang as he dey pain them and them no go fit cry as them go dey beg them "bomboy noh cry"and the pain they cannot cry out about will make them explode!🤣🤣🤣😷 |
I am taking time to watch this thread. What the level of response (66 views and 1 comment) so far indicates to me is that Nigerians appear to not be interested in ensuring good governance in the country. So long as things remain that way Nigeria will remain the way it and have a very long road to travel to achieve good governance. |
Judemarco31:My focus is on exposing corrupt politicians whoever they are and denying them another chance at wielding power. Corrupt are now so bold and daring about their evil deeds that have the tenacity and audacity to seek elective and appointive public office again and again! I wish Kim will come on the scene and tie them to the stakes and fire ICBMs at them blowing them into smithereens! Thanks to Ote$ who exposed Lawal Farouk! My focus is not only on Rotimi Amaechi but also on all corrupt politicians in Nigeria mutually responsible for the hunger many complain about in the land. My fervent prayer is that ALL politicians and their collaborators who have through corruption and ineptitude brought underdevelopment, hunger, shame and disgrace to Nigeria will be exposed and experience underdevelopment, hunger, shame and disgrace in Jesus Name. Strangely most Nigerian Pastors are not seriously and openly praying such prayers preferring instead to be asking for the mercy of God on Nigeria when evil doers are unrepentant! |
The listed points reflect ongoing, public political disputes between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (and former Rivers State Governor), Nyesom Wike, and his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi. According to reports from national media outlets like Vanguard and Naija News, these exact allegations have been brought up by Wike as part of a public call for Amaechi to account for his stewardship during his time as governor. The background and details surrounding each of these specific claims involve the following: 1. The $10 Million Fumigation Project • The Allegation: Wike challenged Amaechi to explain the tangible benefits of an anti-malaria and vector-control initiative. Wike stated that the Amaechi administration paid $10 million to a Cuban company to fumigate Rivers State and eliminate mosquitoes, questioning whether the project yielded any real impact. • The Response: In past public reactions to similar corruption allegations from Wike's camp, Amaechi's media office has consistently maintained that he ran a transparent administration. Amaechi has accused Wike of forging, distorting, and fabricating documents simply to defame and politically vilify him. 2. The $39 Million Hospital Project • The Allegation: Wike raised concerns regarding the proposed Justice Adolphus Karibi-Whyte Specialist Hospital. He alleged that $39 million was fully disbursed for the healthcare facility, but claimed that no corresponding physical structures exist on the ground. • The Context: This project has long been a major point of contention between both political camps in Rivers State, with Wike arguing that it serves as proof of financial mismanagement during Amaechi's tenure. 3. The $308 Million Gas Turbine Sale • The Allegation: Wike accused the Amaechi administration of selling Rivers State-owned power assets and electricity gas turbines for hundreds of millions of dollars. The core of the allegation is that the proceeds from these sales were funneled through Bureau De Change operators and remained unaccounted for. • The Context: This particular transaction was heavily scrutinized by a Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up in the state, which asserted that public funds were diverted. Amaechi, however, challenged the legality and objectivity of that inquiry, calling it a politically motivated "witch-hunt" and a "shameful charade" designed to prevent him from holding higher public office. |
HAS ANYONE NOTICED ROTIMI AMAECHI'S SILENCE SINCE WIKE POINTEDLY ALLEGED HIM OF CORRUPTION ABOUT SEVEN DAYS AGO DURING THE PRESS BRIEFING NYESOM WIKE HELD AT ABUJA FCT. IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT NYESOM WIKE WAS CHIEF OF STAFF TO ROTIMI AMAECHI AS GOVERNOR OF RIVERS STATE. HE KNOWS THE INTRICATE DETAILS OF THE ALLEGATIONS. 1. ROTIMI AMAECHI AS RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR AWARDED A $10 MILLION DOLLARS CONTRACT FULLY PAID FOR TO FUMIGATE THE ENTIRE STATE FREE OF MOSQUITOES. 2. ROTIMI AMAECHI AS RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR AWARDED A $39 MILLION DOLLARS CONTRACT FULLY PAID FOR TO BUILD AN HOSPITAL THAT DOES NOT EXIST ON GROUND. NOT A SINGLE PHYSICAL STRUCTURE ON THE SITE TILE DATE! 3. ROTIMI AMAECHI AS RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR SOLD RIVERS STATE OWNED ELECTRICITY GAS TURBINE FOR $308 MILLION DOLLARS AND THE PROCEEDS ARE UNACCOUNTED FOR AND WASTED AWAY THROUGH BUREAU DE CHANGE! WHAT A COUNTRY WE ARE IN! YET ROTIMI AMAECHI HAS THE TEMERITY TO SEEK PUBLIC OFFICE! A MAN WHO SHOULD BE FACING A FIRING SQUAD AT THE EXTREME OF PUNISHMENT FOR HIS CRIMES AGAINST THE COMMON MAN HE HAS STOLEN FROM. HE NOW SAYS THE COMMON IS HUNGRY WHEN HE IS ONE OF THE CAUSES OF THE HUNGER. I GUESS ROTIMI AMAECHI IS SNOOPING AROUND FOR DIRT TO PIN ON NYESOM WIKE. ROTIMI AMAECHI'S SILENCE IS DAMNING. THE JOURNALISTS WHO INTERVIEWED NYESOM WIKE AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE TRIVILIALISED THE ISSUE OF CORRUPTION AND PERFORMED BELOW PAR IN ASKING THE REQUIRED QUESTIONS. https://www.youtube.com/live/HdemwAv0fQ0?si=34BAo-UOD_RzkYLs |

M4A1carbine:It is now three years down the line Nnamdi Kanu is eating watery beans in Sokoto Prisons screaming “Omotoso show me the law!” I am just wondering what kind of odd-thinking creatures they are- even their Lawyers! Sam Ekpa is now sober again in a Finnish prison where conditions are far better than those in Sokoto prison where Nnamdi Kanu is fanning himself in the hot Sokoto weather! |
