The unpatriotic importers of petrol wasting our scarce foreign currency do not deserve to be supported at all because they have no proof that local refinery production has not been sufficient to meet local demand such as would necessitate the import of petrol! Their conduct undermines the ability of local refineries to operate profitably. Many have obtained the licence to operate refineries locally but prefer to keep importing as it is less risky to trade in petrol than to refine crude oil into petrol locally.

My friend do not get abusive. No one grudges Peter Obi for leaving unpaid debts after his tenure as Anambra State Governor simply because government is a continuum and especially because borrowing by government to provide public infrastructure is not a crime. The point here is that Peter Obi told lies to conceal the debts he left behind after his tenure. He lied! It showed that he lacks integrity and he is a fraud especially because he tried to cover it up and later turned around to say he left enough to repay the debts! Why did he lie in the first place! He is so desperate to be President that the typical Nigerian cannot but be suspicious of his aspiration for which he tells bare-faced lies without a modicum of regret! Public officials and party politicians across political parties are doing great harm to our society. The Osun State matter in this instance was largely caused by Public officials and party politicians across political parties stalling the water project by demanding bribes from the project consultant and Gamji Nig. Even if the state is guilty, how can you freeze accounts of a whole state? How do they pay salaries of workers who have families to take care of and had no participation in the said issues, and how does the state keep the government functioning?

Tawa Williams was an incorruptible project consultant and she wouldn’t compromise her integrity. The woman is late now. Gamji Nig Ltd has done its job excellently well and pleaded with the Osun State Government to no end to be responsible and keep its side of the contract but OSSG politicians wanted bribes at all costs and Gamji has refused to play ball! It will surprise you to know that Royalty demands bribes from companies awarded contracts to execute public infrastructure projects expected to benefit the people and frustrate the contractor who refuses to give the bribes.
