jerryfemi88:Your thread was just rubbished and this is your response. Some character |
The subsidy payoff was a scam. Looking at the breakdown report published on some websites, Nigeria was paying almost triple for fuel not imported at an exaggerated rate. So there is absolutely no need to fight to bring back subsidy however what we need to fight for is a reduction in fuel price. Even if not back to N85 (as we are fantastically corrupt) at the very least N95-100. Don't even bother championing an increase in minimum wage. As things stand, most state government can't afford the current N18,000 and the Federal government is complaining of bleeding cash (while politicians still go ahead stealing and receiving ridiculous wages and bonuses). Deep sigh for Nigeria. |
chumakk:This will take more than Twitter and phone calls. Blood will have to be shed as the money can ONLY be retrieved with force. |
teeboy03:Exactly what I'm experiencing. It feels like this plan is actually 1.5gb-ish (not 3.5gb as advertised) and one gets cut off.. I went thermonuclear on a customer service rep, sent their WhatsApp number msgs and their Twitter handle. Still seen absolutely no solution. I can not phantom how unscrupulous mtn really are. They are sadly the fastest network where I reside otherwise I would have ported. At this rate I may still port rather than remain with thieving rogues. Very unimpressed with them |
Paulpaulpaul:A particular minor sect believe that Cain walks the earth till this day and is unable to die because of that mark. His eternal punishment. |
kolnel:They may not know the exchange rate (generalizing!!) but they know that it has affected food stuff prices, electronics, clothing and so many other basic amenities thus driving their cost of living out of the window. The economy affects EVERYONE |
doyin1985:Not all Nigerians but you have a valid point. I was once coming down from the bridge before Teslim Balogun in Surulere, Lagos and suddenly a woman crossing the road ran across the road but was focused on the other side (crossing a road with incoming traffic from her left while focused at her right). I was lucky to have seen her early enough and honked so loudly while swerving sharply. To give you an idea of how lost in thought she was, she was so startled she slid on the ground as her momentum was too great to suddenly stop. Words can't express my anger that day. People are careless. Drivers are careless too. Defensive driving is the order of the day because a bus would suddenly stop before you to pick a passenger. Cut you off to climb a culvert and avoid VIO. Keke would squeeze in between traffic. Passengers in a bid to stop in front of their location, would jump down from a moving bus totally ignoring the fact that an incoming vehicle may be approaching. It's just simply frustrating. |
€/€ - €/6= €/12
€/€ = €/12 + €/6
€/€ - 3€/12
12€ =3€^2
12= 3€
€=12/3
€=4 |
I888:I made a statement of opinion not a statement of fact. Your generalization is unnecessary and plain rude. |

EggovinMma:Mr Linus? What school? I'd a Mr Linus flog me once. Gave me instant fever that lasted 2 days. |
kaeforum:I once worked in a company where the chairman decided to outsource entire IT department to Indians. My word. Their salary was triple that of Nigerians. They had a house 1 block away from the office. A car and a chef and they were the laziest bunch ever. I've skills in IT though it wasn't my major so when the Indians requests for 72hours to do a task that can be done in less than half an hour I got weak. We Nigerians also don't value ourselves. For a tiny fraction of what the Indians earned, we could have hired a team of 3 Nigerians (as against the over 10 Indians) and murdered the project in record time. As much as I agree that in some cases expatriates are better exposed, give a Nigerian a fraction of similar exposure and see (most of) them do exploits. My 2 cents. |
Please give me speed estimate for Surulere e.g btw 30-100kb? |

dazz661:This blows. I work in the other end of Lagos so I can't travel back and forth to argue. I have Affordables as a co tact in BBM, I politely asked for their Manager's number. If they don't give it to me, I will figure a way to track it. Irrespective of how this ends, i'll be steering clear of them in the future. Never again. |
henry007:Yes, it was brand new |
I recently updated my q10 to 10.3.Bleep. It was great for a few days and one day while on a call, it was terminated and I saw "no sim card inserted". I tried a different sim on a different network, same thing. I took the phone back to claim warranty as it was just over 12 days old, I was told that the phone would have to go to blackberry and may take 1 month before I get it. They "adviced" me to get it fixed for 3k. (I got the phone from Affordables in ikeja and this is officially the last time I will ever get anything from them). The "fix" seemed to solved the issue. Less than 48hours after the fix, network disappeared and I saw a "technical error" code and notification saying "sim card has been locked against network....". A restart or battery pull returns my network but some days I need to pull batter 2-3 tunes to get network back. I need a permanent fix as this is stressful for a less than 3weeks old brand new device. Is this a software bug or a hardware issue? Would unlocking the phone fix it. Quite confused which is odd as I'm usually knowledgeable about handhelds.. Any engineer in the house? |
blake777:Definitely fact.. I've experienced the "Accidentally brushed" thieves (cms/marina) and the "Sneezing man" (bode thomas/surulere). Accidentally brushed ended up with my blackberry q5 (tracked the phone days later to an Abironke Aminat who claimed her man gave it to her and she doesn't care if it was stolen). Sneezer was unlucky as I suddenly decided to get down from the bus and I checked my pocket while trying to sort my Fare. Found the phone under his ass.. I was tempted to remove his eye. |
