She is not a virgin, as this is not our first time of having sex together just of recent some days ago when we try to have intimacy we notice that her virginal was very tight as if it was her first time of doing it and not that she was not in the mood.
I try heard penetrating which i was latter successful but funny enough after the first round we try doing it again and this time it was more difficult.
She plan going to see a gynecologist but am putting this through all the females who have experience this situation before or heard about the solution to this problem.
Please doctor i hope its not an exceptional case of early menopause
Thanks alot doctor,await your response

Doc,I appreciate your selfless service to NLders.I had D n C in 2008.Since then,I'v been feeling like there's a vacuum in my lower abdomen.For instance,Sometimes when I cough or sneeze especially during my period,it echoes in my lower abdomen resulting in a sharp pain.I did vaginal swab test n pelvic scan n nothing was discovered.My v.aginal discharge has been somehow (though it's always been somehow as far back as I could remember).Sometimes,it's yellowish,white,coupious,scanty,liquid (like water).I was worried over d discharge too b4 my doc allayed my fear dt nothing is wrong wt me.Now I'm bothered again with the pain.What could possibly be wrong?

Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by kathyekiti: 9:10am On Nov 27, 2010
@ jody
I would suggest a complete evaluation of the cause of your high prolactin such as a brain cat scan or mri. This might have something to do with the headaches. While a tumor is unlikely, it must be ruled out

@ stevade
I think surgery might be the way to go for you. Even if you were to get pregnant, the size of the fibroids could seriously affect your ability to go to term
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by kathyekiti: 9:15am On Nov 27, 2010
@ judity
You might have a condition called polyovarian cyst syndrome. The pill will regulate your cycles. It is quite common

@ acl
I would talk to your gyn about increasing the dose or trying other drugs. I also agree with the watch and see approach
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by kathyekiti: 9:16am On Nov 27, 2010
@uteh
I would not suggest the hsg. Let it be

@solo2
Ovarian cysts are common and in general have no effect on fertility. All pregnant women will have an ovarian cyst in the first trimester
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by kathyekiti: 9:20am On Nov 27, 2010
@osiyemia
If you have been trying for two years, I would move on to IVF

@ oduamine

RUN!!! PID cannot be diagnosed on u/s. Free fluid just means the cyst has burst which can happen spontaneously.
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by kathyekiti: 9:22am On Nov 27, 2010
@stages
Please let the wound heal. No sex, no tub baths. be patient.

@sweetypie
Congratulations!!

@life4all
If you can find acid jelly, that will work as well

@franny
I would suggest another pregnancy test
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by kathyekiti: 9:27am On Nov 27, 2010
@bobeefc
The discharge is caused by the pills

@ coffri
i don't know those medications but ovulation occurs 2 weeks before the onset of menses
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by kathyekiti: 9:28am On Nov 27, 2010
@ jumman
Antibiotics are not routinely given to prevent utis. This is something to discuss with your generalist

@elpieda
Your menses is absolutely normal. The normal range is 3-7days
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by kathyekiti: 11:54am On Nov 27, 2010
@dshalom
There are many different drugs that have been tried but a standard has not yet been declared.  I would suggest a discussion with your fertility specialist to decide the one that might work best for you.

@ agluvs9ja
Sound like a condition called bacterial vaginosis.  It is an overgrowth of the normal bacteria in the vagina.  It is easily treated.  I would suggest a visit to the gyn
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by kathyekiti: 11:57am On Nov 27, 2010
@chiscomi

Congratulations!!

@ jdays
PID cannot be diagnosed by scans. Staph in urine is more likely a contaminant. I would suggest seeing a new physician for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by oduamine: 6:42am On Nov 28, 2010

Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Purplediamond(f): 1:06pm On Nov 29, 2010
Helle Dr Kathy.
Pls help.
I'm tryin to get pregnant. But i took a malaria drug (maladox) around my last Ovulation period cos i felt feverish. My period before then was on 3rd nov. I hav a regular cycle of 26days. I had s.ex on 11th nov. I took d drug on 13th nov and had s.ex again on 15th. Normally going by my cycle i shd get my next period on 29th but it appeared 28th after mild cramps for abt 5days now which i dont usually get before. Its obvious d bleedin i'm havin now is my period and not implantation bleeding cos it has continued since yesterday like my normal period and the cramps hav continued too which i dont usually hav before during periods.
Going by my calculations i expected to be pregnant as i cld have Ovulated on the 14th or 15th. Please could the malaria drug hav gotten in the way? Cos it really knocked me out d day i took it and i'm not really used to taking drugs.

Hi People,just joined the thread.

Am 31 going on 32 in about three months,been TTC since 2005,I did not train as a doc but based on all the books i've read,tests have done and internet research i think i can say am a doctor in my own right(Don't get me wrong o i was not even a medical student)but i've been through the valley of shadow of death in the quest to getting pregnant,had a cardiac arrest trying to do a laparoscopy.Can u beat that.Am alive and well and still fighting on,thinking of going the IVF route but need a clinic that is extremely careful and professional as i have to do some screenings abroad in conjuction with the clinic i choose here.Which IVF clinic will you consider the best.Are there known success stories?

Anyone ever heard of Ashermans Syndrome?

What is Asherman’s Syndrome?
Asherman’s syndrome is named after Dr Asherman, an Israeli gynaecologist, who first described the condition in the mid twentieth century when he noted that some women who had surgical treatments at the time of pregnancy stopped having periods after this treatment. Nowadays the term is also used to describe a reduction or absence in menstruation that may be due to scar tissue formation inside the uterus and can occur as a result of pregnancy and delivery, infection or gynaecological surgical procedure.
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by ketubah: 4:23pm On Nov 29, 2010
Thanks HasyakBut does a doc just look at a patient and say she has ashermans.I've had 2 DCs in the past and started having irregular periods .I understand the best way to diagnose ashermans is thru hysteroscopy which i hear most gynaes are not trained to do.Had an hsg done last year which does not show any sign of scarring in my uterus,i also lost an 18 weeks pregnancy in Sept last year.My docs have been saying they suspect ashermans but i just totally disagree with them.Not ready to allow anyone to open me up unduly,another doc told me the miscarriage is due to cervical incompetence
