serving and saving in some states is really difficult... like rivers state where the cost of living is really high, but thats not an excuse that one should not save. i pay a tithe of 2k and another 2k for rural rugged evangelism, and i make use of d rest. God has been faithful to me. |

Though I'm not a Corper yet (13A) to be precise.. But saving from #19,800 can be achieved cos when I was in school.. I bought things in Bulks and Wholesale cos getting stuff with a retail price can be annoying and U won't know until U spent 50, 100 or more buying maggie, salts, soaps and many among others cos wen 10 has bin removed 4rm 1000, d 1000 bcum Useless. Like some have said.. DISCIPLINE counts a lot... I can save up to 15K per Month n I will still eat good food.. Shikena |

I served in the days of 7,500. Still I saved. I still did my personal C D from it. So, it is very possible. Just be disciplined with your finances. You are just a corps member. So live like one. Not the other way round. 1 Like |

By the Grace of God, I am a prospective 13A corp. When I was in school, UNIBEN, my mother gives us N2000 alawee for two of us to feed for two weeks. I can even save the complete N19500 alawee and depend on state allawee with extra change to spend for flexing. |

My LI takes 8K while i take the rest...I don't have time for the nonsense CDS,PPA,Clearance,etc... So i believe that it is better for me to make use of my skills to find a better job before i finish my NYSC...Conquer (unemployment) before you get Conquered (by unemployment) 1 Like |

ndizzle: You must be one of those people who live above their means! Being a teacher has nothing to do with managing available resources as a corper. The earliest corpers receved only N300 a month and they survived. Most corpers get posted to the hinterlands anyway. |
