This action by NSCDC is retrogressive. Why not encourage the brain behind these refineries? This how we missed all the technological opportunities of Biafra engineers.

Refineries Can someone please confirm if this is true. Are these people actually refining the oil or are they just selling it as crude? If they are refining the oil ,is it safe for use in a motor vehicle? I will appreciate some valid answers to the above questions.

Why not legalize the 615 rather than destroying them thereby creating more unemployment, d govt can use their idea to mak better ones. Our irresponsible govt prefer sending it out, sending one litter and returning half litter .

Of course the thieves in government would destroy them otherwise they would not make a profit from imported fuel. Remember thieves do not like competition because it reduces the amount that can be stolen.

Govt should encourage owners of this refineries to legalise their business instead blocking their source of livelihood and increasing unemployment. Haba mana

We should be seeing things like 'fg encourage operators of illegal refineries to form a consortium'/
'fg empower operators of illegal refineries technically and legally' and not the other way round.

NSCDC? Is it not the one we call guguru defence those days, when did they develop the capacity to destroy illegal refineries operated by the likes of tompolo them. Destroying over 600 refineries within 3 months. ?

Abeg, this is fake news joooooo. I don't believe this crap news at all.

Even there are illegal refineries, over 600 refineries at a capacity of 1000 barrels per day, we will have over 600,000 barrels of drude refined daily which can serve our local consumption. Any sense in our government taking over these illegal refineries, upgrade them and use it positively to serve our local demand of petroleum product. Just my opinion oooo.

Unless na just some kind of special pots wey them dey use cook crude for bush.

I dey laugh this country. E go better.

heating crude oil in seemingly open flame is a no brainer. beside most of the enviromental issues in the niger delta is a direct impact of illegal refining as heavy fractions are disposed off indiscreminately into water bodies.
