Well am a living testimony I saw my menarch on 3rd dec 1998 wen iam 11yrs+ on jan 1999 1 of our family friend came 2 ma parents teln dem dt he want 2 marry me n ma parents scold him on statement which he apoligis nt knwn he has an interior motive n as a child nobody tld me wot he came 2 say in ma hous dt jan, may 9th 1999 on a sunday I came 2 his house 2 drop a message he force me rape me n threat my life if I eva say anytn of cos afta 3months ma menses sieze he nw return his previous visit in jan well in a nutshell ma dad beliv I did it willng n chased me away of d house so I had no option dn 2 allw him tak me in 3days 2 ma 13th birthday I delivered a baby boy cos I was rejectd I had 2 stay wia io find ma sef b4 ma 20th birthday am a mother of 3 bt uptil 2day though we ar nt stayn 2geda I hate men wit passion cos of d action ma dad take n wot he did 2 me n cover it up pls rape shld be taken a serious crime women shld rise n fight 4 dia daughters cos even wen iam dia ma mum is d 1 payng ma sch fees d bastard dt claim husband did nt pay ma fees nt 4 1 day.I knw any day I wil watch him dead wil be my happiest day .rape is a sin against g God n womanhood let's fight it many women has die som ar stil dying if nt 4 ma mum I wil nt be a nurse/midwife 2day.is nt all abt havng good girls as daughter pls knw whom ur family friends ar,women don't leav ur daughter wit funny dads cos many dad out dia cld be funy.pray alwys 4 ur children.dats ma own xperince as an adolesent.SAY NO 2 CHILD MARRIAGE N RAPE |

Its a normal occurance in gypsy land.go to d north,u hv such too.at age 8,u r already in a man's house waitin for ur first menses.we should only rant at d society that allows such. I've seen in enugu state,precisely enugu ezike,a twelve year old givin out in marriage.very brilliant gal and all our plea to d bro fell on deaf ears.he even said d man waited far too long cos d gal was betrothed at birth.fast forward...saw her with a child after a year and few months.I was so ashamed but she looked happy and I hear her husband treats her well. |

This is nothing new. We had a set of neighbours back in the day whose daughter gave birth at age 11 to a healthy baby boy. We moved in when the kid was 7 and quickly understood why what happened did. The children of the family were left to their own devices and quickly learned to fend for themselves. The exposure the kid gained from irregular supervision superceded that of ours, we were around 9 or 10 years old at the time but this boy could blend into a crowd very quickly in times of trouble. This was an ability we lacked due to sheltered upbringings. Apparently his father was a 20 year old at the time while his mother was 16/17. The boy's grandfather nurtured him and convinced him that mom was his elder sister while dad was his uncle. I can not imagine the mind f-uck which occured the day the child learned the truth. |
