You can say the green energy people (who helped his first campaign) benefited from stimulus money but that was because Obama like a lot of other people believe in alternative energy and were hopeful that jobs will pop up from those areas and most of those companies failed; but who do you blame for that?. toluene12: @whitecat, republicans didn't mess up the economy but their policies accelerated american economic woes. Clinton left a budget surplus and a booming economy for bush. Tax reduction for the rich, military spending on meaningless wars, poor fiscal regulation on financial institutions, outsourcing of jobs to china, and soaring national debt all happened during bush era n contributed significantly to american economic problems.
At least, dem knows that if you are to spend u increase revenue instead rep. keeps telling u to cut tax yet they've failed to curtail spending thus explaining the deficit.
