taharqa: I will just make 3 points since i have already talkd about this previously: 1st, plz read tru the comments of previous posters here or articles writing by critics and show me anywhere where they pointd out the infractions that was specifically committd by dis admin as containd in d Ribadu Report Or whether most of these infractions and practices have not been going on for decades?

2nd, d Ribadu committee was not a probe committee but an administrative one whose terms of Reference was to look at the System of payments and practices bw d Nigerian state and d oil companies. The committee found out that d Practices have generally been inefficient, wasteful and corrupt; how d hell is this a surprise? We already knew that that has generally been d case in d Upstream oil sector since d 1970s afta d end of d civil war- in a word 'darkness'. They made recommendatns to change this culture MOST of which are in d PIB bill currently in d NA. Now go tru all d comments and articles of critics and see if there is any mention of this all-embracing critical bill that wud go a long way in solving a problem that hv been with us for decades? For instance, d bill wud break up d hegemoth NNPC into parts, one of which (NOC) which unlike d current NNPC wud be commercialisd and partly listd in d Stock Exchange where it wud hv to give full accounts of its finances and hv corporate governance. One wud hv thought this wud be an opportunity for sm of us to put pressure on d NA to pass d bill afta previously 'insulting' d President into sending d bill to d NA.

3rd, I am yet d undastad how the people asking d President to start prosecuting basd on dis report want him to so. Apart from the fact that d report was not a Probe and so not SPECIFIC (and dis is important cos if prosecutn wud occur an anti-corruptn agency wud hv to do d specifics and build cases that can stand in d courts), the authors of d Report usd their hands to write that Some of d data they usd were not verified/reconciled. So shld d govt NOW arrest all former heads of state (including Obj who also doubld as his own Pet Min, lol), former Pet Mins, heads of NNPC etc, and then take them to court basd on a report whose terms were general and whose authors said that some of dier data were not verified? How many hours wud d 'cases' last in a law court? How can d govt be 'discreting' a report that Ribadu and Soare demselves wrote was incomplete, when the govt is just saying that the report was incomplete and still needs more work? Was it not Ribadu who specific askd d govt to so do? By d way, why wud Ribadu lick an incomplete report so as to give d impression that d govt was doctoring it when it was the same Ribadu that askd govt to verify sm data?..... POLITICS SHOULD NOT BE TOO DIFFICULT TO DICEPHER
Forget those statues.. They are condemned to be blind and biase in the assessment of GEJ government. The most disturbing is the fact that some of them are well informed and logical enough to copulate these facts (as stated in your text) but are consciously reneging on the acknowledgement of the truth just because of certain primordial sentiments... My advise for them all is to consider the option of diving high tension wires if they can't bear that he( GeJ ) still remains their president until God decides contrary.
