"agbalumo di suga omoba lofemu"

Muhahaha very funny.

In case you don't speak Yoruba, it means "oh fruit, turn to sugar, the prince wants to eat you."

Guess it's a way of psyching themselves hoping it'll be a sweet one. Agbalumo is very nice if it's sweet, otherwise e go slap u tire. LOL

Who is afraid of division? There is no tribe called bini but Edo. They own the Benin Kingdom of then and now. Part of the kingdom is now the present day Edo State-the name derived from the master tribe of the Kingdom. If it hurts no apologies for that is the truth no matter the urgly consequencies of politics that makes the free born to beg bread from the slave. Oba gha to kpe iseeeee. And @ topic it is called Otien in Edo language.

The bolded portion is damn too funny, and to add that it will spoil your mouth for the next meal even the taste of water.

Udara si, "onaya mmuru nwa ana apiwa onu" meaning i mine the only person dat give birth 2 a child its mouth pple torn asunder

This your translation is most hilarious! Are you for real or are you a ghost from the time of the District Commissioners of the colonial period when they had half-educated interpreters?
You must really be a guru, guruobinna!

Oh God! This reminds me of something similar we used to sing anytime we want to eat it this same fruit. It goes this way: Ekpo dia idot, ami ndia inighi; ekpo dia idot, ami ndia inighi; ekpo dia idot, ami ndia inighi... Meaning: let ghost eat the bitter part while I eat the sweeter part. Lol. We are just one and the same people but only deceived by language. I think there's something more about this fruit. May God cast out tribalism from Nigeria!!!

This is a nice fruit, but I'm not sure of the nutritional value. The fleshy part, if chewed for long can turn into chewing gum. The seed can be helpful for maths calculations. While the milky 'tears' is simply heavenly.
