Nice one Okija...you captured the good, the not so good and the bad. I think Owerri is a nice place but cosmetic surgery is still needed in some parts. Owerri alonside Enugu and Uyo are the future. Watchout for these cities cos in the future they will be forces to be reckoned with. |

Owerri alonside Enugu and Uyo are the future. Watchout for these cities cos in the future they will be forces to be reckoned with. ^^^Can't say i saw even one pic of 'the good'.....was all nasty pictures of an unkempt scruffy environment; and as i've said b/4, it's clear a clean/tidy/green environment is not one of Rochas' priorities whatever they may be. This thread is a good reason for anyone NOT to visit Owerri.....the place has gone to seed. Though i'm also mindful of the fact that the conman Ohakim did fuc/kall for Owerri in particular and Imo state in general (besides planting and trimming grasses, and sweeping major township roads), so i'm still cutting Rochas some slack; but he needs to start tidying up Owerri for fuc/ks sake!; all the street clutter and rubbish need to be cleared, and township roads spruced up and repainted......they should TALK LESS and get on with the job, as there results will speak for them. These pics are a disgrace! |

PROUD-IGBO:I know Rochas hasn't made any concerted effort at beautifying Owerri but don't tell me that some of those features did not tickle your fancy. How many cities/towns in Nigeria can you compare with Owerri? Though like you said, a massive clean up and beautification is needed. |

Imo State University seems to have the infrastucture level of a secondary school. Instead of declaring it tuition free, the government should have made sure the fees paid by the students was well utilized. Free education to secondary level is enough. University education costs money. Only oil rich countries have free university education...oh...I forgot...Nigeria is oil rich too. But seriously...one step at a time. He was hasty to declare free tertiary education in a University with little infrastructure. 3 Likes |
