General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Wednesday visited Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison in Lagos to spend Boxing Day with the prisoners and guards.

The respected cleric, who stated this 0n Twitter, said it was to show that Jesus Christ came to the world to save all mankind and “not (a) selected few.”

“H(appy) Boxing D(ay), I’m at KiriKiri Max(imum) Security Prison this morning to fellowship with the prisoners and guards. Jesus died for all. Not selected few.”

Adeboye apparently used the tweet to debunk criticisms that his church has been showing preference for highly placed Nigerians.

How will he join them when he is not a looter or robber. The tithe money members pay in church is for pastors and the payers know this. Whether this is wrong or not is another issue entirely.

I have never read any were that pastor Adeboye committed any crime while he was still in the world and now in the Lord.

We can criticize him and other pastors of not living to the standard we expect them as 'holy' men of God but not to the extent of wrongly acussing and wishing them evil.

He is coming from there, so he is speaking as an insider. Ever since society rejected him and refused to give him job because he is an ex convict, he lives online and instead of him to be active on the job section, he is looking for where to be heard.

While some unknown preachers do these things everyday, it would be commonsensical for any sane humanbeing to applaud good deeds done either by famous or 'normal' people.

Frankly only God can measure the feeling of hope and strength combined with the happiness that those prisoners would feel today.
