''We can SUCCEED with the WORST constitution IF we do things the RIGHT way but, we'll continue to FAIL even with the BEST constitution IF we continue to do things the WRONG way''.- Oliver-Fashola-Twist.

We need to change our understanding of life, values systems, habits to live a good life. The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing. We shd not skewed thing up.
Example I have introduced punishment/reward system to keep my students composed but all these won't work efficently if they don't or see why and how they will stay composed.
They need proper understanding of life, simplicity, balance, decency, cordination etc.

We need to start being an example. Less struggle when we start understanding how to live. We are all of 4 parts all yearning for expression: our body, heart, mind and spirit. Our body to live, our hear to love, mind to learn and spirit to leave a legacy.
We must learn to follow principles of life-do the wrong, you simply get negative consequences. We must learn to separate our wants from our needs so you can be happier. Some things are urgent but not really important. We can live simplier, more balanced and more organised. We need introduce Financial Education to our children so they understand assets and liability etc just also is health education, moral education, civic education, Habits, etc. I believed in balanced Education. Get understanding of life and of people so you never get influenced by this skewed and failed society.
Our great birthgift is our power/freedom to choose. Let choose wisely, simpler and happier. Have a nice day, best of xmas and a great new year.

HNosegbe: I disagree, sir.

We cannot succeed with a constitution that promotes waste and duplication of roles by insisting that ministers MUST be drawn from EVERY state in the country.

We cannot succeed with a constitution that demands appointments based on federal character/zoning and sacrifices merit and competence.

We cannot succeed with a constitution that insists on sharing ALL revenue among three tiers of government, without providing for a national pool of savings.

We cannot succeed with a constitution that gives excessive powers to Abuja and deliberately weakens the states in the name of "national unity".

We cannot succeed with a flawed bicameral legislature with over-paid senators and dishonourable reps members.

We cannot succeed with a constitution that actively promotes "feeding bottle federalism" by sharing oil money at Abuja every month.

We cannot succeed with a constitution that excludes youth from participating in the political process by setting minimum age requirements for contesting for elective office.

We cannot succeed with a constitution that deliberately weakens local governments (the most IMPORTANT tier of government) by failing to guarantee their independence.

We cannot succeed with a
constitution that begins with a lie. "We the people"... Which people? When and where did "we the people" draft a constitution?

Drafting a NEW constitution by means of a TRULY sovereign national conference is an indispensable step toward engendering a true sense of nationhood, the absence of which is responsible for Nigeria remaining a "geographical expression" (apologies to Metternich and Awolowo).

P.S: I'm not denying the importance of attitudinal change.

So you believe because ministers came from all the states now that is why we are in this sorry state? As much as it might give us a bloated govt, it is not the source of our problem, the main cancer in our system is CORRUPTION and POOR governance. Remove that and Nigeria will be ok coupled with value re-orientation. Benin Ore road, Lagos -Ibadan road, East-West road, all our airport, etc that are bad, is it the constitution that spoiled it? 1.75 trillion siphoned as fuel subsidy, is the constitution that took it?

He did not say our constitution is perfect like any other country, eg th US wants to amend the use of arms now, so it shows there can be amendments but that is not ourt main problem sir.
