Nigeria Will Turn To Somalia If Cpc Rule - Pdp by Alxmyr(m): 7:57am On Dec 27, 2012
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in a statement released on Wednesday, said, "Nigeria in the hands of a political party like the CPC is on an express road to Somalia”.

The CPC had, in a reaction to the Christmas message of President Goodluck Jonathan, said "it is doubtful if the president truly believes that Nigerians can trust him on this one, after many broken promises in the past one year and sheer unwillingness to assuage the cruelty unleashed on them by his administration’s lethargy and incompetence.”

But ruling PDP in a statement issued by its national publicity secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in Abuja, posited that the CPC’s reaction was another clear evidence that the opposition party was not ready to step down its philosophy of violence and vile communication module.

"Even in 2011 when the CPC took desperation to a criminal level, orchestrating an orgy of election violence that claimed many lives, Nigerians stood firm for the PDP in an election adjudged locally and internationally as the most credible in the nation’s recent record. But has the PDP squandered its mandate in over a decade in saddle?

"This can only be true in the diseased imagination of the CPC. The PDP has remained the only truly national party on whose shoulder revolves the unity of the nation. Need we say that a Nigeria in the hands of a political party like the CPC is on an express road to Somalia,” PDP in the statement said.

The statement continues, "the intentions of the CPC, is to stir public distrust andtrigger a flood of mutiny against the PDP-led Federal Government. This will continue to suffer stillbirth, as Nigerians are capable of sifting the truth from tissue of lies.”

The statement further said, "the CPC will definitely be blind to steady progress critical infrastructure such as power, road and rail transport, security, agriculture, education, because constructive engagement is not the ultimatemotivation of its criticism.”

The PDP insisted that President Jonathan was correct when he declared in his Christmas message that he has the political will and determination to deliver on the party’s promise of positive changes in the living conditions of the people in the shortest possible time, saying that the gains of the party’s transformation programme would bear more fruits in the coming years.

"Besides,” the statement continued, "the PDP met Nigeria a pariah state, retrieved and returned it to the centre stage of global reckoning. It isalso on record that at a time the economy of the western nations was hobbled by the global meltdown with banks collapsing, no bank in Nigeria suffered similar fate.”

The PDP highlighted some of the nation’s achievements under its drive, saying, "as part of the party’s strategy against corruption, the PDP liberalised the economy and threw the door open to generate new jobs. The party also established anti-corruption agencies, the EFCC and ICPC, as well as enacted the Freedom of Information (FOI) law to enhance transparency in governance. The party’s dispassion in winning the battle on corruption has seen even senior members of the partyconvicted for corruption.

"We must add, that our battle on corruption is total and that President Jonathan has won the most critical aspect of it, which is against electoral corruption. Nigerians now go the polls and are sure their votes will count. There is no shorter road to good governance than when mandate and withdrawal of it depend entirely on the people,” the ruling party pointed out.

Well, we thought Nigeria would be a free society if civilian rule came, we were wrong.

We(they) thougt if GEJ came in, the masses would be treated better, we(they) were wrong.

Maybe we should stop coming to conclusions before trying something out

[color=soyouquotedme]When you don't have a record to run on, you paint your opponent as someone people should run from.

Until CPC takes hold of the mantle of leadership PDP's assertions remains an hypothesis

Pls. why was the late NSA Gen. Azazi,a man who had all security information at his finger tips sacked and what did he say about Bokoharam and terrorism and PDP? did he mention CPC?,Ndume a suspected senator is a PDP member,
Why hasn't Kabiru Sokoto been arraigned in court inspite of all the media attention he received when he was arrested ? same goes for other terror suspects.
What did Orkar and his younger brother in Kuje prison said about the October 1,bombing,
The PDP is very good in divide and rule politics, they should know that it will never last forever.

What PDP is saying is that we Nigerians should be grateful for what we have today because they see
CPC as more deadly than them. Chei......chei...chei we are in for our worst nightmare. No hope for Nigeria.

With all the almajiris waiting in the wings, Somalia is an understatement.
Imagine a country where Boko Haram would be used to maintain law and order.

On a more serious note, before we start dreaming of a CPC government in Abuja, let's go to Nasarawa state where they have Governor and find out what's happening there.Absolutely nothing. Zero. At least PDP has produced AKpabio, Amaechi, Chime and the likes.ACn has produced Fashola and Oshiomole. Labour has produced Mimiko. APGA has given us Okorocha.
The only thing we know about CPC is Buhari and election losses, Buhari and election violence.Buhari and the death of corpers.

CPC is a northern Muslim party and they do not hide their outlook. They currently do not have a single serving Christian politician and in the last election ensured that 90% of their fielded candidates were Muslims.

Somalia is an understatement. Imagine Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq all in one country.

It seems the fools who voted Jona not PDP have finally got the gist, they actually voted PDP which azzazi said is behind boko haram! In any case couldn't the PDP have defended itself by explaining why Nigeria is already a Somalia? Bombings go on every day, the country is more divided than Somalia a society that is mainly Clannish in Nigeria it is religious it is ethnic it has become so bad that the threat of Secession is highest during the current regime that simply is an indication of the extent of division, Piracy is both a problem in Nigeria and somalia, . . . In short PDP has already made Nigeria a Somalia at the verge an melt down of Fukhashima proportions . . . It is only a pity that supposed educated fellows do not show any signs of understanding their current predicament indeed!
