Grassroots man and member of the Federal House Of Representatives for Surulere constituency, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila was in Lagos on the 20th of December, 2012 to unveil the first ever logo and signage for the CDC in Surulere constituency. The logo and signage is to identify Surulere CDC in a unique way, as this would distinguish her from the hundreds of other communities in Lagos State as the distinguished coat of arms of Lagos state stands out from the other states. Wow, a man of the people indeed, not just going to Abuja to make noise and no impact is felt in their constituency.

In his speech, he said: " the unveiling we have come to do today is the latest project undertaken by my office because we believe that any development that does not trickle down to the CDC/grassroots level, might be too far-placed to make any meaningful impact in the lives of our citizens. This accounts for the reason for the number of projects which were executed within the year - Erection of 300 Street Lights, Youth Employment, Youth Development, Educational Development, Water & Health etc"

His take on Religion - rather than see religion as an object of division, we decided to use it as a positive tool for integration and cohesion. To make this impact felt by individuals, my office sponsored 11 citizens for pilgrimage to perform their respective religious rights - 7 pilgrims to Jerusalem and 4 to Mecca."
