Afam4eva: Na any time wey i see food i dey eat. At times i eat once a day. At times i eat 5 times a day. There's nothing like breakfast. It's more like break slow. I don't know what to call the food you eat at 12 noon. Brunch right? God punish dinner. It's more like mid-night food. I fit wake up anything go chop. Eating has no time frame for me.
this is typical of a croc(those type i watch on NAT-GEO Wild)...

I hardly eat 3x a day even on weekends just a habit i got used to when i was in the university i used to eat 1nce a day after the day's lecture as a result of that stomach ulcer set in, even now that am done i still do that sometimes but when the pain of ulcer starts thats when i remember that i have'nt eaten so eat 2x a day when i'm less busy.

No one seems to understand what a SQUARE meal means so far. He is asking how many nigerians eat 3 SQUARE meals and not 3times daily

Sometimes none, and some, once,
other times twice. Can not remember 3 times. Good thing is, I have never had to beg for food. No matter how hungry I am. Instead, i'll convert it to a spiritual exercise

Permit at dis juncture to state dat i emphatically sense alot of lies in dis thread. Most people here claim they eat 1-1-1 or 1-0-1 or 0-1-1 or as the case may be. This is d same people who lamented wen it was told Oga Jona spends mor dan N1b for feeding alone and the same people here wept of eating only once in a day and even that one is a malnurished food. Now suddenly, evry1 has bcom rich to avoid three or two square meals a day. NL, una sabi form o.

Bloody liars. 98.5% of commenters here eat only 0-1-0

As for me, the usual arrangement is to hv three but it now depends on eg my workload, day of the week, etc. So it's either 3, 2.5 (in case of snacks), or 4 but it can never < 2 sha.

Yes. Millions of Nigerians can afford and still have 3 square meals daily. Sometimes, I am bored and tired of food. Personally I don't eat Eba, Amala or Semovita. And I don't like meat, except eggs and fish.

Aafulenu: since i can remember, in my house we eat just twice, morning and night. and its not cos there isnt food. its just a lazy habit we formed @ home d that stuck.
i remember my mum and dad would go to work in the morning and return @ night. so our lunch was in the hand of my eldest sister. once its afternoon and u tell her that ur hungry, she will ask u if u dont knw where the kitchen is. lol.
na so two times a day food start ohhh, and till nw all my siblings eat two times even as we are all grown up and can prepare our own meals.
i thought i was the only one in this kinda condition

woke up read this and for some crazy reason the song " it is time for kiddy vision 1-0-1" came to my head.

Well in a Gaston(Beauty and the Beast) voice. " When i was a boy i eat five dozen egg so i could big and strong, Now i'm a man i eat six dozen eggs, so i would be as large as a barge"

lol

many people don't. The government don't care and majority of the people are deprived of the basic needs of life - Food, shelter, and clothing.

My breakfast is kind of shabby because I don't have time (only chai and roti), but I have a nice lunch and dinner. Coming from India, I think Nigeria is a land of opportunity, and that if you can't even afford to eat 3 meals, you're not trying hard enough.
