More offen than not, you will hear people from different part of Nigeria talking of marginalization or being maginalized. The North who have produced the highest number of President in this country than any other part, talk of being maginalized.

The East who have produced the highest number of Senate presidents and Information Ministers than any other part of the country also talk of being maginalized.

The West who have produced the longest ruling president in the person of Obj, with highest number of Professors than any other region in this country also talk of maginalization.

With this, One begins to ask, how do we measure maginalization? Who is actually being maginalized? And who is responsible for the maginalization?

The middle belt is the most marginalized! A distinct region of its own but shackled to the north to be used as puppet, get nothing good from the them. The road network of this country shows glaringly how the middle belt belongs nowhere. From Lagos towards the Middle belt the road is dual carriage but the moment you approach the Middle it becomes single lane. From port Harcourt the road is dual carriage but the moment you get close to the middle it becomes single. From Katsina through Kaduna the road is dual carriage but the moment you get to Zuba it becomes single. That is just an example.

Obviously d southwest seem d most marginalised and its quite understandable.
What do u expect in a government where PDP is d majority and hence determines who gets wat,

No area in Nigeria is marginalized. Why? Because the people who control and govern each area are natives from that area. What is the ethnicity of the governors, senators, LGA chairman, Ministers, etc in the SE, they are all Igbo. What about in the SW,SS,North, etc, they are all from the local ethnic group. If your area is a failure then its your people who caused it, if your area is successful then its your people who made it. If you truly believe you are marginalized then it the same people from your ethnic group that made you marginalized not another. The thing with Nigerians is that they would rather blame someone else for their problems instead of blaming themselves.
