In the year 2011, I imported Brazilian human hair. My dear friends , before I start, I would like to let you know that online business is the easiest business you can do ones you have little computer knowledge. And also try to do researches on what people needed.

Brazilian hair 100% kanekelon , they come in sizes and makes. They have 10 inches, 12 inches, etc. the lesser the inches the lesser the price.

Some I bought for $20 ( now 3220 naira) was sold for 12, ooo- 15,000 naira.

Third thing I imported was calculator ruler. Lols, some people might ask what is that, but I tell you the truth, it added enough money to my pockets.
This is how is goes , you will be giving minimum order quantity, let say 3,000 - 5000 pieces. In my case, I ordered for 5,000 pieces.

Now this is the mathematics:
5,000 * $0.40. = $2,000 ( 322,000 naira.)

Dhl cost. $200 (32,200 naira)

Bank charges $55 (8,855 naira)

Custom duty charges (12,750)

Now total expenses :
322,000 + 32,200 + 8,855 + 12,750= 375,805 naira.( total cost of money invested)

Now sales : I supplied them to about eight different schools bookshop at the rate of 150 naira.

5000* 150 naira. = 750,000 naira.

Now profit: profit = total sales - expenses

750,000 - 375,805 naira = 374,195 naira

N/B. dollar was Calulated by 161. Current exchange.

Isn't it a good one.

Anyway, I wonder where the statistics on catfish demand come from. I have worked at a fish farm before and I knew how hard getting demand can be.

zhukafa: Am back, for those who wrote that they needed info for online importation, here it comes.

I would personally teach people here, how Import goods without using credit cards.

First : Walk into any bank of your choice, move straight to the customers service section, tell them that you want to open a dollar domicilary account . The requirements would be given to you ( normally requirement, just that some referrals would be added) . Some banks minimum is $100, while some say $200. When the account is been opened, your check book would be given to you.

Second : log on to www.alibaba.com or www.aliexpress.com or www.ebay.com. On there home page, go to there search engine and search for any goods you like, then click search, the list of the products and the name of the company and also the quantity required to purchase would come up. ( now here comes how to by cut those middlemen being the site you used). Go to the name of the company that produces the goods, copy the name, move to google.com , paste it there and click search. The real web page of the company appears, then click on there website and then source for the products you want on the web page.

Third : go to the contact section, pick there companies email address, go to yahoo mail and compose a mail on the quantity you needed, tell them the raise you a PROFORMA invoice on the particular goods, a PROFORMA invoice would be raised and sent to you, print it out and go to the bank to wire the money to them, wetin 4 days dhl would get the goods to your house.

i). The quantity and name of the goods you applied for
ii). Your name and shipping address you provided to them when sending the enquiry mail.
iii). The unit price and the total price for the goods.
iv). There bank details.

2). Mainly china companies uses that method (PROFORMA invoice).

Pls what was the weight of the 5000pcs of ruler calculator? I'm surprised u spent only $200 on air-freight.
