Confirming the incident, the Media and Information Officer of the STF, Captain Salisu Mustapha in a statement said “this is to inform the general public and good people of Plateau State that there was an attempted explosion at a mosque located along Bukuru Expressway in Jos South Local Government Area Saturday at about 8:30 pm.

Ok...a grenade was thrown into a mosque and the STF detonated it ASAP. But if it was trown into COCIN or ECWA, it would explode and kill over 15 people and minutes later, the same STF will come in and shot an additional 5 people "in their efforts to disperse the crowd at the scene". The news article didn't say '36 hand grenades'. It says '36-hand grenade' and the latter is a type of grenade among the different types of grenades that exist. Nobody said 36 separate grenades were thrown.
