It’s a sad day around the environs of the Federal University Of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
Two students were reportedly killed as a driverof a black pathfinder swerved off the newly refurbished university road and killed the students on the pathway.


The driver was competing for ‘right to the road’ with an Okada and left the road to hit the students.
Both students are said to be in 100Level.
The driver of the car is currently at large.
Students are gathering en-masse to protest the incident. The car involved, is pictured above was burnt by protesting students.
It should be reported that another death occurred on the same road yesterday.

UPDATE.
The driver has been apprehended and was almost lynched to death before policemen from Eleweran, the police headquarters in Ogun state saved him. The suspect was also said to be a staff in the University community while the victims were 100L students, one of which is the HOC, Water Resources Management (WMA). Their bodies have been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta

Meanwhile Students have gone on rampage. All the shops forced closed and the Ibadan- Abeokuta road brought to a standstill. Fully armed Policemen have been drafted to the area but the students remained adamant, calling for the suspect to be released to them in other for peace to reign. Meanwhile the police has called for more re-inforcement, with two ogun state RRS bus and an armoured tank the latest to arrive

Height of stupidity on the part of the driver, however, let the students not take laws into their hands. RIP to the dead.
