Oh.. and if this wild comment is true, you alleviate that by travelling to SA to sell drugs to other peoples' children? Do you know what drugs do to kids?

You really are an imbeci.le. I bet you are a drug dealer and fraudster yourself.

Only 1% are successful in your ANUS, not in reality.

If you are suffering from ''acute poverty'' return to your village and FARM. The Nigerian soil is fertile. Don't go committing crimes in far off lands because you want to live in a 5 star mansion in under 6 months and drive Hummer, and then when you get caught you blame Nigerian govt.

Whatever... The figures are still BOGUS, because the informal Nigerian economy which is teeming with billions of dollars worth of assets is completely unaccounted for in those calculations. So a farmer who eats smoked fish, yam, akara, and egusi soup in one day, is regarded as living on 'less than $2 a day' because he hasn't got a bank account or tax receipts etc. Same as a market woman who can spend up to 2,000 dollars on a single wedding outfit. She is also classified as living on ''less than a dollar a day'' because she works in the informal economy and hides her savings under her bed. Same as other traders, importers, roadside mechanics, hairdressers, barbers etc. Even roadside BEGGARS earn a LOT more than $2 a day in Nigeria. So those figures you are bandying are BOGUS and ABSURD.

The 2dols per day ish on that page is a 2007 statistics

sincerely speaking, i think we need a serious REVOLUTION, 10 times more serious than that of egypt, libya, tunisia and barhain! And a handful of prayer, with all the bad leaders out of the show, then we can say we have hope! Both PDP,ANC,ACP,ANPP etc etc are all from the same bunch! And truely speaking, this is not the Nigeria our founding fathers fought for!

Nigerians go to cities and adapt to businesses they see there.... So this myth of Nigerians bringing crime to ZA is a bloody lie.... That's why Nigerians don't go to Houston and start hawking and selling drugs, they open businesses that are already present.....

So South Africans should stop complaining, it's obvious Naija guys went there and started out selling their ZA pimps and now they are complaining....

If the main trade in a country is crime, expect the Nigerian to open a business in crime.

Hon. Kontigi:
Let's not forget that there are also many nigerian professionals doing well in south africa. South africa is a very violent society. Jo'boug is particularly notorious for crime. I know that even the police in SA cannot be trusted. A friend, visiting the country for the first time for a conference, was robbed in the toilet by a policeman right there at oliver Tambo airport. True, there are lots of nigerians (most of them from SE) in Jo'bourg who are plain criminals but we should also not forget that these nigerians are just a fraction of the the criminals there - south african citizens constitute the bulk of the criminals.I am not condoning crime by nigerians, pls. My advice is that if u dont have any serious biz to do in South africa dont venture there because criminal syndicates(including police)target nigerians arriving in the country (sometime ago a man arriving from nigeria was followed from the airport and robbed at the reception of his hotel in Jo'bourg). Personally, I prefer naija a million times to SA.

We are sometimes too quick to defend ourselves as Nigerians. Bet you, some Nigerians are really really painting us bad in SA and other countries. Even here at home, there is no limit to the evil imaginations of SOME Nigerians to defraud.

SA is hostile to Nigerians today because it seems that SOME Nigerians have raised crime (particularly financial crimes) to another level in that country. We need to pray to God to change us.

Is it? How come the Igbos always head international organisations which is based on merit and not ojoro?

Do these names ring a bell to you?

Emeka Anyaoku - Former commonwealth secretary-general

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala - Former world bank MD

Oby Ezekwesili - Former World bank VP

Chinyelu Onwurah - Labour party MP (UK parliament)

Chuka Umunna (nicknamed; the British Obama)- Labour party MP and shadow business secretary (UK parliament)

John Godson Chikama Onyekwere - First black MP in Poland

Is it not an irony that the same people "hated" the world over for crimes are considered fit for these lofty positions while your people never come so near to leadership positions outside d shores of Nigeria where things are based on merit alone?

Those people you name up there may have sacrifice their loved ones to get that possition. Igbos are notorious for human sarcrifice for big possitions. Besides, those Igos that are doing well around the world were schooled by Yoruba teachers. If it wasn't for those Yoruba teachers they too would've been in crimial activites. just like the rest of their brothers and sisters... hehehehe

Fact is we might have high levels of reported hiv/ aids levels but it started somewhere else in Africa not in SA since we allowed your likes in, SA has had to bear with such ills. And anyway why do you have to use hiv for any discussions about SA when Nigerian stats is unknown. Him who lough last laough best! Word.

The thing is given the small population of SA compared to Nigeria, one would expect the figures for HIV/AIDs, and violent crimes to be smaller than that of Nigeria which according to ur theory 'exports' crime, but it is not. That should tell u something. Stop being in denial and blaming ur issues on the next man. Do u have half as many Nigerians in SA than there are in US, UK, Germany and even Dubai? Why are they not blaming Nigeria for their crime rates? Why do they have lower crime rates than SA has ever recorded, pre and post apartheid?

My tibe is the pride of Nigeria. We are the reason Nigeria/Nigerians can still show face to the rest of the world 'cause if it left with your people the country Nigeria would've been history by now. We give hope to this country your people so desperately want to run down. The word Yoruba make people to smile and say great things about Nigeria unlike Assgbos, i mean your criminally breded animals called Igbos.

For umpteenth time, do not act like a fool because someone said you are a fool. Anyway, who knows you could be a redundant fool for all I care. There is no ethnicity in Nigeria known as “pride of Nigeria”. It does not take third grader to decipher you are an inconsequential dirty Oshogbo swine. Even most of the lily-hearted Yoruba peeps are not ashamed of their defecating forbearers when frightened by a drunken soldier from northern region.

Honestly, you do not deserve a response if you can not stand up for your forbearers. I shall not response to your idiotic post unless you proudly say your moronic ethnicity.

I thought RSA is a country with solid socio-political foundation. Are you allowed to navigate the Internet without adult supervision? If the only reason you and most RSA slatterns date Nigerian men is money, one wonders where the hell Nigerian men got the money. Since you have publicly admitted RSA girls date Nigerians because of money, may I ask you if Nigerian men grow the money as farmers grow crops? If you eat with a devil jackass, you are undeniably a devil.

hopefully it will show the nigerians who are living "alternate" lifestyles down there that they are making it hard for their people...

with that being said, it's not right to ban all nigerians as i am positive there
are honest nigerians in SA.

and let's face it the SA crime rate wasn't exactly low prior to the influx of Nigerians.

Very bogus, if it were a scam, it's one of the biggest scam...

The problem wrong with Nigeria is we don't have adequate reporting system, if the average okada man, bus driver, market woman, gala seller, mama pof pof (lol) all had their sales receipts and declare quarterly earnings, you'll see that an average Nigerian lives above 5x that amount.
