Job Title: Community Mobilization Assistant

Program
The Reading and Numeracy Activity (RANA) isa 3-year (2015-2018) UNICEF-funded early primary grades reading pilot project implemented in partnership with FH1360, in collaboration with the Federation of Muslim Womens Associations in Nigeria, governments of Katsina and Zamfara states respectively.
RANA aims to improve literacy and numeracy for girls and boys in primary grades 13 in the supported states. It is assisting 100 formal Schools and Integrated Qur’anic Schools (IQS) in each of the states.

Minimum Recruitment Standard
Expertise in community mobilization, stakeholder’s analysis and strategic planning.
Computer literate and proficient in the use of Word Processing, Spreadsheets; excellent in Report Writing, Oral and Interpersonal Communication Skills.
Demonstrate ability to work with Government, Partners and/or Local Government structures, and school settings.
Proven expertise in Hausa language.
Demonstrate experienced in coordination of community based meetings, setting realistic priorities, and planning for successful implementation of RANA activities.
S/he is able to make independent decisions and actions in his/her field of activity.
Must be a resident of one of the three supported Local Government Areas (i.e Batsari, Kankia or Rimi LGAs)
Hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of community development projects is an added advantage.
Should be a Degree holder or its recognized equivalent with at least one year relevant experience with International Development Programme.

Job Description
LGA Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant: The role will support the M&E officer in promoting effective and efficient monitoring and evaluation of programme activities; centred on impact and outcomes; create conditions so that learning feeds into programme decision-making in each LGA.
Strengthen the capacity of community based volunteers (CORPs and others project beneficiaries and government institutions).
The role is responsible for ensuring that monitoring and evaluation systems allow for effective, accurate reporting for decision making and project implementation in his/her assigned LGA.
Criteria

Essential Criteria:
Degree, preferably in Social Sciences or at least 4 years’ experience in community health.
At least 1 year NGO experience and knowledge of monitoring and evaluation with fair knowledge of public health management challenges in Nigeria.
Good understanding of LGA health management system including stakeholders
Understanding of national health data management/reporting flows
Hands-on experience implementing community based development programmes.
Ability to use data management and data collection tools such as NHMIS
Ability to produce quality reports.
Ability to use MS excel and word is key

Desirable Criteria:
Ability to incorporate gender analysis, inclusion and community health work.
Experience working with government institutions and agencies in Nigeria
Local language knowledge is a plus.
Remains energized and focused in the face of ambiguity, change or strenuous demands.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with LG health authority and community based volunteers.

I am happy that God is using some people here to help job seekers... I am a psychology graduate seeking for employment, i base in Anambra but am willing to relocate. I have done alot of contract work with W.H.O mostly as Independent Monitor and i have also done some work at Malaria boost programms and some other health related NGOs mostly in Anambra State. I have some basic computer skill and i am a fast learner.

Facilitate meetings at designated times
Facilitate the Focus Group Discussion and Key Informant Interviews if needed
Facilitate access to key Government ministries, administrative authorities, Civil Society Organizations (CSO), International organizations, businesses, Non-governmental organization (NGOs) traditional and local authorities.
Facilitate the REWARD team access to designated sites in the capital/Districts and regions
Provide logistical supports to the REWARD team in making arrangement for transportation and accommodation.
Serve as a guide to the team throughout its interaction with key stakeholders and local population in the capital and regional city and villages chosen by the REWARD team
Perform administrative tasks as required by the REWARD team
Provide cultural insights and feedback to REWARD team at internal meetings
Provide interpretation and translation support to the team with interlocutor speaking local dialects.
Coordinate logistics and pick-up time with drivers and the team (Including timely airport pick-ups/drop-off and regional travels)

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce a Consultancy Report
The consultancy report should be submitted within fifteen (15) days of the end of the consultancy. The report should include at least:
Overview and description of the activities performed under this consultancy
Strengths and weaknesses of approach
Key observations and recommendations for improvement
Reporting & Supervision:
The Consultant will report to the Project Team, located in Washington, DC.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's Degree - in Conflict Resolution, Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Policy, and/or a related field;
Minimum 2 years of related international development experience in community development, conflict resolution, democracy and governance, human rights activities, and/or a related field;
Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel programs required;
Capability to work individually and as a team to undertake tasks in a fast-paced environment;
Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues;
Fluency in speaking, reading and writing in English required;

Job Title: Assistant Vehicle Fleet Manager (VFM Assistant)

Location: Abuja

Main Responsibilities
Assist the Vehicle Fleet Manager with Fleet related administrative task including but not limited to creating reports, archiving, ensure accurate record keeping, updating fleet data base systems, and gathering statistics
Supervises registration/deregistration processes and obtaining necessary licenses/permits to operate, de-register and dispose of Fleet assets with the support of Import/Export Colleagues

Supervision / follow-up of local insurance contract validity and renewal
Supervision/ follow-up of local insurance claims until they are closed and settled and assists with compiling documentation for claims submitted to Geneva
Provide Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports and statistics on vehicle use and drivers activities.
Crosschecks and validates fuel invoices and delivery notes from suppliers
In co-ordination with the Delegation’s Security Focal Point, assists with on the spot accident response and dealing with authorities/local insurance providers to obtain applicable documentation
Provides training and support to sub-delegations in regards to Fleet Administrative Task

Required Qualifications
Degree/Vocational training in Administration, Transportation, Logistics or proven relevant work history
2-3 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, administration or similar position
Strong computer skills (Word/Excel mandatory, prior Fleet data-base systems an asset)
Excellent knowledge of the geographically assigned environment
Good knowledge of local insurance practices, national traffic laws/regulations and vehicle registration laws including annual vehicle inspection requirements law by governments
Good command of written and spoken English
Must have a valid driver’s licence

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Title: Poultry Farming Trainer
Location: Plateau
Type: Contract

Purpose
Plan, develop and deliver training in Poultry Production Management principles and practices to groups of Women for Women program participants. At the end of the training, the participants will have a better knowledge of poultry production, be able to raise small number of birds successfully, understand how to start small poultry business and the role of effective social network to achieve what an individual may not be able to achieve alone.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assisting the Economic Empowerment Officer:
Assist with gathering feedback on courses and assessing training material and tools.
Assist with reviewing and modifying lesson plans to improve upon training curriculum as needed.
Deliver poultry vocational skill training and support women take position economic action.
Implementation:

Deliver training to participants in assigned community and maintain skill training group schedule provided by Women for Women International.
Train women in cooperative according to the standards and requirements’ set by the organization.
Communicate your findings that need urgent attention to the Economic Empowerment Officer and report on-going progress accordingly to ensure timely response to issues that impact positively on participants’ gains from the training.
Meet with colleagues to share techniques, strategies, success stories, difficult cases, supplemental materials, etc.
Maintain daily attendance records of participants using the attendance sheets provided by Women for Women International-Nigeria and provide these to the Economic Empowerment Officer at the end of the training.

Qualifications & Competencies
Minimum requirement of a Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Economics, Animal Husbandry (Poultry) and any other related course
Proven ability to work effectively with socially excluded women
Strong multi-tasking, interpersonal and facilitation skills
Good customer-service orientation, strong focus and goal oriented
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint packages
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver effective results, meet deadlines and achieve targets
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent problem-solver and team player
Ability to communicate and teach convincingly in Hausa language
