It is indeed your opinion and you are entitled to it. Yet, it is an opinion, inspected in the light of brutal logic and the Nigerian reality, that is flatly wrong. We all hanker after "youth in leadership" with realising that it is our innate prejudice that make us blind to the obvious i.e "youth in leadership" has happened and has been soundly discredited as one more touted panacea to our woes that has, in reality, not turned out to be valid.

Has youth not already had a chance? Bankole, Yar Adua and GEJ can all be deemed relatively young. How old are most Nigerian Governors? What other type of 'youth' are you then looking for and what level have they not reached? Has the experiment with 'youth' and a "departure from the past" , in the form of Yar Adua and GEJ, not shown Nigerians that it is time for us to stop discriminating and time for us to simply look, as is done successfully elsewhere, at the history, achievement and lifestyle of those who want to lead us?

Right on point, Ibori included

PDP can only be edged out of 2015, if the new party adopt a concensus candidature of Ribadu/Okorcha ticket. Failure to do this will give PDP the leading way to victory.

Some azzholes from SE will say their not difference between APC and PDP... Is this a joke or what? PDP? The evil party we chased out of south western states for bad leadership? Igbooos couldn't see PDP is evil and a party tagged nest of killers?

Unashamedly, you are a PDP apologist and you are here advicing the opposition on who to pick as their flag bearer for them ti defeat your master. Does this make sense at all?

When Ribadu contested in 2011, how many votes did he get from the SE bush?

Lilimax: I've never supported PDP as a party although I voted for GEJ. My view is that why must it be the same set of Old politican that will want to rule the country?. We have dwelth in the same position for too long. We need to move forward and it begins with the person that will be voted into power. If an old politician picked the ticket in this merging, I will not vote for him. My opinion though.
You shy away from politics and complaining that the old men are destroying your future. If you're not satisfied with voting for the old, i suggest you contest and let's vote for you since you're still young.

X-factoria:
The problem I see with this APC is that they have no agenda other than to push out PDP. Is that all that we need to fix the country? Among them are PDP rogues of yesterday; is it enough to rebrand them as progressives just because they are now in APC?

APC has no noble agenda! They have not told us what and how they will do things differently. How are they going to address the structural imbalance in the country? The resource control issues? Our decaying moral values? How are they going to create employment opportunities, revamp our educational sector etc? How has CPC fared in Nassarawa and what is ACN doing differently in Ekiti and Oyo States for example? They just spend all their time talking about PDP and its failings!

They are a bunch of opportunists trying to benefit from people's animosity to PDP.
They just drafted a 23-page manifesto. So, if you want to know what they want to do to change Nigeria for better, go grab your copy.

[b]OPEN LETTER TO MR BUHARI.!!!

By; Usman Okai Austin

Dear Mr Buhari,

Your generation is a very privileged one, You run the race, you handover the baton for others to run, you cannot hold on to the baton more than is necessary. indeed.

In 1975 at the age of 33, you were appointed the Military Governor of the North-Eastern State, present day Borno & Yobe states. In 1976 at the age of 34 you became the Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources.

In 1978 at the age of 36 you became the Chairman of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

Today the reverse is the case. Most Nigerians at age of 35 are still unemployed and still living with parents. Many are still not married.

During your time you were already Governor at this age. One major reason for this unfortunate turn of events is that many elders like you have refused to voluntarily
handover the baton to the next generation.

Life should be a relay race where one runs his race and hands over to the next.

In Nigeria many elders like you have run their races and are still holding on tenaciously to the baton.

When are you going to handover to the next person? It is either you do it voluntarily or risk disgrace at the polls.

In 1983 at the age of 41, . Most Nigerians in at that age have not had the opportunity to serve, but we still remain committed to the Nigerian project.

You should rather be graceful to God and to Nigerians for the numerous opportunities that have come your way to serve Nigerians. Others are begging for just one opportunity to serve.

Sir, you have to accept the stark reality on ground that you have served your time already.

That is life for you. You run the race, you handover the baton for others to run, you cannot hold on to the baton more than is necessary.

As a former head of State you are already a member of the Council of State Meeting.

You have every avenue to channel your views across. You don’t necessarily have to be in a frontline role, you can serve in an advisory capacity.

That is still service.
