thelastPope: You ACN rascals really think this your tactics of trying to derail threads against your pay masters will work abi? Here in Chicago (USA), repair of Red Line that is less than a kilometer will take approximately 23 months to be completed, the repair is between Chicago Avenue and North Avenue. We are talking about electricity driven rail not locomotive for God sake! |

Sincere 9gerian: Very shameful indeed. 14yrs after ACN rule and 6yrs of emperor Fashola's reign they'r still looking for FUNDS to complete the Lagos light rail project. Very very shameful. What have they been doing since 1999? And to now imagine that the same project would have been completed in the 80s by Jakande (God bless him)? I look at it differently. Banks try not to make bad or risky loans. And during Fashola's rule of Lagos, Lagos has improved to such an extent that banks are now willing to finance it, signaling that Lagos has the potential, in the bankers' point of view, to become a world-class megacity like London, New York, Tokyo, where before Fashola, such potential was unimaginable. Kudos to Lagos State Government and Gov. Fashola, the hope for all of Nigeria. 5 Likes |

@sincere..., y all dis fixation on fashola and Lagos? The rail project is wonderful idea and so far its on track. U mentioned the railway the federal govt is also embarking on all over the country, also laudable, but av u entered any of this trains? With coaches of the 70's. And speed of a snail. I boarded one just for a train experience and it spent close to 10 hrs frm ilorin to lagos and on top of dat, it only run twice a week because their is only a single rail. It is no news that the country is long overdue for an effective rail system, so give kudos to the LSG, they deserve all the commendation we can give. Atleast no other governor in the country has a plan for a train system. 7 Likes |

While insincere Nigerian is becoming a laughing stock and his Otueke fisherman paymaster is looking for which plane to ground, Fashola is busy building infrastructures for Lagos state. I fully understand the frustrations of the laptop crew, there is no way to discredit this stubborn man called Fashola. Corruption....uniting Nigeria since 1914... 7 Likes |

seriously im very sure that engineers projection is crap, they will not meet up. lol, railway na toy? this is april o! and ive seen that project it still has a long way to go. now for the guy that posted shitt about NRC its all fuucked up lies. i board d train regularly, so i know wat am saying. there is no fuuucking rehabilitation going on. they just bought sets of 1970 engines and are repainting old coaches. these guys must make over 5 million everyday cos all train schedules are always completely filled but there is nothing to show for it.am very sure that after NNPC NRC will rank as the most corrupt govt parastatal, even before PHCN sef. Let the govt stop these lies, cos we see these things and we know reality 1 Like |

This idieet called insecere9nigerian must be a nincompoop. A psycophant and a compound fool. How can you compare the federal government to a state government? How can you compare the cost of elevated rail to rails laid on the ground? How can you compare a modern, efficient rail system to an absolutely disgraceful and ancient system that makes use of outdated cars and is painstakingly slow, overcrowded and insufferably uncomfortable? Sincere confutionist.this your post is laden with retardeen fervour. How can you compare the federal railway project with tht of lagos. The Lagos-Kano rail has been COMPLETED and commissioned. The govt spent a whopping N24billion to rehabilitate and restore the Lagos-Kano narrow guage rail line after decades of dilapidation. The federal railway line if you recall had been under going refurbishment since the PTF days of abacha thru to OBJ and Yar'adua then GEJ.It was not wholly conceptualised by GEJ he was only there to complete it. The railway you are making so much noise abt had already being on ground and all the FG did was to revive it while tht of LASG was to start from scratch with very complex logistics due to the peculiar nature of a mega city. go over to the blue line rail project and compare the design and quality to what you criminals in PDP call your phoney railway project.i bet you there is no way i can ride on those dinosaur boxes you call modern rail cars.if you useless PDP people are telling us this is wht we get for all tt money spent on the fedral railways then i must tell you tht u hav suceeded in commiting the biggest heist in human history, you bloody criminal. Evry1 knws tht PPP is the way to go in insfractructural development and management in this modern times and you very well know how terrible the naija govt is in managing insfractructure. If your ABJ paymasters had so much money why dont we have good transportation insfractructure in naija till date. Why is the lagos-Ibadan exp way still comatose after 14 years of PDP rule. 2 Likes |

Yeye dey smell ! You think people have nothing else to do? - like you. Who cares if Abuja light rail project is 1000% done or the other things you mentioned? The important thing is that things are being done well in Lagos, and anyone who wants to do same is most welcome. Not everything has to burn your eye, you hear. Rejoice with those who rejoice..., so says the holy book. But don't go around claiming things that you had no hand in Sincere 9gerian: Why are the vultures avoiding this thread? Where is the "Eko oni ba je" crew? They should tell us why their Lagos gods can still not complete Lagos railway project 14yrs after. Why are they still sourcing for N400billion 14yrs after? They seem to be clueless 1 Like |

You are wasting your time - I am sorry to say. Mr. InSincere9gerian is actually trying to s.hit on this thread - like anyone cares what he does - because he came here jumping up and down about this Lagos-Kano Railway matter. On that thread I started a post like so: "Kudos to GEJ for completing this project that was started by OBJ...". Well, well, well - Mr. InSincere9gerian spit into the sky and received it on his face - he has being fuming over that ever since - hence his deliberate & utterly worthless attempt to sabotage this thread. My main concern in that post was the "wild" celebration of a project that moves you only 125 km in 6hrs - about twice the speed of a horse, but that was not his problem - because he had bigger masters to serve than Nigerians. See here to see that all you stated below wre explained to this guy about a week ago: https://www.nairaland.com/1271827/nigeria-tries-get-track-new#15446576 ewet: |

A huge population equals huge revenue. Lagos state is too rich to borrow. Compared to the revenue lagos generate & oil money that accrues to them, Fashola is not working period. The road he builds & suspension bridge will be tolled so what is lagos state doing with its tax and monthly allocation. Roads on mainland are in a deplorable state and someone is telling me lagos is big. Please let's leave sentiment alone and shine our eyes in lagos. lagos is the only state that is 100% controlled by one man he can sack any senator he likes and put his family members. Those of you tipping Fashola for president i pity you. He cannot break himself loose or even challenge the excesses of Tinubu i now wonder if he and jonathan who is a bigger "retardeen" as u ppl call it. Just to stop here for now. |

Hmmmmm...... It's a pity that some nairalanders still behave like illiterates at this jet age. How can you be comparing light rail project with railway being done by federal government? Light rail is not locomotive antiquated stuff being done by FG. Meanwhile you need to know that railway project being launched by Jonathan has started since Abacha time handled by Chinese while China was embarking on light rail done by Britain then. So it's not the kind of rail or train we are used to but latest development technology. |

Thanks it is obvious you knw nothng abt economics however thank your stars you r on NL,so lets try to educate you.because you are rich does not mean you do not need additional financing for projects. There is no economy, state or person tht can survive without credit.Even Dangote who is acclaimed to be world richest man depends on credit.witout it he wuld hav in out of business. back to the issue. This project is so gaguantum tht nobody even the United states of America can single handedly fund this project. It is highly capital intensive and anythng insfractructure are usually long term projects. You heard hw much is needed for this project-400 billion, this is abt the entire budget of Lagos state,so are you telling us tht fashola shuld use the entire budget of the state to finaance this project. 2 Likes |
